It is once again time for Caprice Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong to refresh their yearly bar menu – this time named Elements. Bar manager Anyss Saintilan has spent months perfecting nine cocktails inspired by fundamental elements and textures found in nature, namely Flower, Cotton, Water, Leaf, Leather, Fire, Feather, Wood, and Air. The menu is presented in an innovative wooden frame containing nine boxes that guests can swivel to reveal tasting notes, and even slide open to interact with the key ingredients. Water is a refreshing Champagne-based cocktail with oyster leaf and elderflower that carries a hint of mango and pineapple, despite containing no fruits whatsoever. Pandan lovers will enjoy the gin-based Leaf, a tropical tall drink with celery, lime, sugar, and a dash of absinthe. The further down the menu, the more spirit-forward the drinks get, such as Air, a white Negroni with cucumber-infused gin, Lillet, and Suze that will feature different fruit notes through the year. Other notable mentions include Wood, containing cognac aged in burned sandalwood that allows the spirit to taste different upon each return to Caprice; and the soft, minty Cotton, which is a lovechild of the Grasshopper and the Ramos Gin Fizz. All cocktails are available at $220, and are the perfect accompaniment to the lovely harbour view from Caprice Bar.

The article touched on the support that Naim has been receiving following his sexual assault case. To recap, the singer is facing charges of raping a 17-year-old girl. He pleaded not guilty, and the trial will resume on 18th August. However, fans have been showing support for the star, saying that he was framed. In his post, Caprice mocked the fans' argument that Naim was framed, even quipping, 'Sure or not?'. The post garnered netizens' attention, with one comment saying that the public figure may have insider knowledge of the case. As a response, Caprice said, 'Have I ever acted without evidence?', prompting speculations that the star may have proof of Naim's guilt. However, Caprice never expanded on this comment. Interestingly, the rapper has been an outspoken critic of Naim since the case first surfaced earlier this month. Even when the identity of the case suspect was unknown, Caprice heavily hinted at the 27-year-old's involvement through his Instagram account. Earlier this week, Caprice shared a video of Naim's court appearance with an emoji of a man shrugging, suggesting his doubt over the singer's not-guilty plea. Meanwhile, Naim hasn't returned to social media and only said he's leaving the case to the justice system. The 'Projek: High Council' star is charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act. If found guilty, he faces a jail term of up to 20 years and is liable for whipping. Online, the discussion on the case has been mixed, with some hoping he'll be punished for the crime and others believing in his innocence. Replying to his follower, Caprice sarcastically remarked: 'Ya, memanglah saya boleh taip (balas komen) dari Laos dalam penjara.' (Yes, surely I can reply to comments from a prison in Laos.) What happened in Laos? The Malaysian rapper and two other men were arrested at Wattay International Airport. According to The authorities checked six bags belonging to the suspects and found around 86kg of the drugs. The Laotian authorities confirmed the trio are in custody and will be charged according to local laws while investigations continue. Malaysian police have since Bukit Aman's Acting Director of the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) Deputy Commissioner Mat Zani @ Mohd Salahuddin Che Ali said the three men, aged between 25 and 29, were arrested shortly after landing at the Laos International Airport on 22 May. Every summer, chef Guillaume Galliot receives a special delivery from 10,000 kilometres away – organically grown tomatoes from his mother Myriam Deschamps' garden in Tours, in France's Loire Valley. He takes the juicy, sweet tomatoes and celebrates the fruit at Caprice, the three-Michelin-star French restaurant at the Four Seasons Hong Kong. 'When we started nine years ago, we got the tomatoes in mid-July, but with climate change, we now get them in August,' Galliot observes. His mother grows more than 30 varieties – including German Gold, Charlie's Green, Oxheart and Pineapple – not in a greenhouse, but in an open field. She starts growing the tomato seedlings in her home in March, transplanting them into the garden at the end of May, with ripening occurring in July or August. Photo: Handout Advertisement The French chef says the harvest yields some tomatoes that are sweet, others that are delicate and juicy, and yet others that are dry, in colours ranging from red to yellow and even white. 'Every year we create new tomato dishes for lunch and dinner at Caprice,' explains Galliot. 'We start working on the recipes in June with tomatoes from France or Japan because the season is short – about two, two and months.' Resulting dishes include strawberry panna cotta with tomato water, and Parmesan tart with fresh tomatoes. Galliot says that tomatoes damaged in transit are made into a concassé, which sees the fruit deseeded, peeled and added to lobster bisque. Galliot grew up eating tomates farcies, or baked stuffed tomatoes, prepared by his mother and paternal grandfather, who grew tomatoes in his garden. Photo: Handout The tomatoes are hollowed out before being stuffed with ground pork seasoned with parsley, breadcrumbs and the tomato flesh, then baked and served with rice. 'The juice from the tomato is very flavourful,' says Galliot of the rustic dish. Tomatoes are a good source of vitamins C and K, potassium and folate, and are rich in lycopene, an antioxidant that helps reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer. The fruit contains the antioxidant chlorogenic acid, which can lower blood pressure, and the skin has the flavonoid naringenin, which can help decrease inflammation.

Wanita PKR demanded that the police, MCMC, and women, family and community development ministry take immediate and serious action on the matter. PETALING JAYA : Wanita PKR has urged swift action against anything that perpetuates sexual crimes against minors after the discovery of a Facebook group sharing photos of underage schoolchildren. The party wing demanded that the police, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and women, family and community development ministry take immediate and serious action on the matter. 'Wanita PKR also calls on parents and all of society to be constantly alert and responsible for the safety of children from sexual violence. '(This includes) monitoring social media for groups with elements of obscenity, grooming and sexual harassment, and for comments that insult the modesty of children,' it said in a statement today. The 'Group Budak2 Sekolah Rendah' page, now inaccessible, had over 12,000 members and many explicitly sexual comments and captions on its photos. The images included underage students wearing primary and secondary school uniforms, traditional wear, sports attire, and casual clothing. The issue came to light after rapper Ariz Ramli, better known as Caprice, was notified of the group's existence via an Instagram message. The group was then reported to MCMC as well as the police. Influencer Wee Yun Nee, also known as Mekyun, spoke out about the issue as well after realising that photos from her childhood were also circulating on the page. The group's circulation of children's images without consent for the purpose of inciting sexual harassment violates both the Child Act 2001 and Section 211 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, which pertains to 'offensive content'.
