Lowes heir Josh Penn and Ben Palmer's Point Piper home sells
Lowes heir Josh Penn and his husband Ben Palmer have sold their Wyuna Rd, Point Piper mansion for $23.5m. The couple, with son Brooklyn, 6, and daughter Blake, 4, are now understood to be focusing on renovating the Penn family's palace at Cap 'd'ail in the south of France, where they're intending on spending some time next year. And they're also now debating whether to move to their former Double Bay home, now rebuilt, or to another eastern suburbs mansion they've apparently purchased, that's 'quite substantial'. But it's now sold via Monika Tu and Jad Khattar of Black Diamonz, with Tom Penfold of Cohen Handler known to have introduced the buyer. There'd initially been hopes of $28m. Penn and Palmer had been living in Capri during the three-year rebuild of their own home at 7 Carlotta Rd, Double Bay, bought for $6.7m in 2020, which is apparently 'incredible' and nearly ready to move into. No clue yet as to the location of this other 'quite substantial' property, which is yet to settle. The Wyuna Rd residence was previously owned by nursing-home scion Mark Moran and his interior decorator wife Evette. The historic home on a 723sqm block had harbour views, an internal lift, multiple balconies, manicured grounds and a pool. Penn and Palmer had initially intended to do major renovations, but ended up doing just landscaping the garden and adding lighting. Their good taste in furniture helped give the home extra zing. Josh Penn and mother Linda, the highly regarded philanthropist and CEO of Lowes Menswear that's worth $800m, recently raised a whopping $84.3m at the recent Gold Dinner for the Sydney Children's Hospital foundation.

Father's Day durian feast in Seri Delima
GEORGE TOWN: What better way to celebrate early Father's Day than to get your hands on all-Malaysian favourite fruit - durians! Approximately one hundred people in Seri Delima gathered at the morning market on Saturday (June 14) for the durian feast, enjoying varieties such as Musang King, Red Prawn, Capri, Green Skin and Hor Lor. All the durians came from an organic farm in Balik Pulau. Among those enjoying the fruits was civil servant Mohd Faiz Mohd Hassan, 32. "Durians are my favourite fruit. But when you buy them yourself, you can't really sample many varieties in one go unless you spend a lot. "Events like this are great because you can have a little bit of everything," explained the father of three school-aged children. Teh Liang Teik, 75, the former chairman of the Island Glades village community management council, who was fond of a good Black Thorn, echoed those sentiments. He also has three children, all of whom are grown up and have their own families. They often enjoy durian feasts together. "Such occasions are good for community bonding. Enjoying durians by yourself is nice, but enjoying it with your neighbours and friends is so much better," Teh opined. Former neighbourhood watch chairman Eddie Lim, 81, was fascinated by a large local durian cultivar nicknamed "Khoong Loong" (which is Hokkien for dinosaur) that the vendor served. One bite was enough to reveal creamy and bittersweet notes, which he immediately approved of and recommended to his wife. "I've been attending such durian parties every year for as long as I can remember. It's something we all look forward to," shared Lim, who has two adult children living abroad. The event was hosted by assemblyman Connie Tan to express gratitude to everyone for their tireless contributions to the neighbourhood and community. "We have very dedicated pillars of society here who work hard all year round to make Seri Delima a thriving place in Penang. "Most Malaysians love the King of Fruits. And with it being in season, there was no better way to express our appreciation. "This being Father's Day weekend made it all the more meaningful since many attending today are also fathers themselves," Tan shared at the session.

The duo posed for photos aboard a boat for the Italian brand's Light Blue perfume launch. In March Vittoria made rare comments about her age-gap romance with Leo in an interview with Vogue France. She revealed for the first time that the couple met 'in Milan. But I prefer not to go into details.' And the beauty added that she's a fan of DiCaprio's iconic 1997 film Titanic, which was released the year before she was born. 'Who hasn't seen it? Or didn't like it? It's an iconic film...' she noted. Ceretti also said the couple's love for another is strong enough to transcend jealousy between them as she explained, 'It's something you learn: if what you're experiencing is real, if you know you love each other, then there's no reason to be alarmed. Because love protects and gives confidence.' She also revealed she has forged a close bond with DiCaprio's family, particularly his mother Irmelin Indenbirken. Last November there was widespread speculation about whether DiCaprio had popped the question to Ceretti, who was previously married to Italian DJ Matteo Milleri. They first sparked dating rumors in summer 2023 when they were spotted on an ice cream date in Los Angeles. They were later spotted out dancing at a club in Ibiza. The couple reportedly met at the Killers of The Flower Moon premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.

Leonardo DiCaprio 's girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti joined Bond favourite Theo James at a Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue launch event in Capri, Italy on Thursday. The model, 26, looked incredible in a white mini dress which featured lace detail and thin straps. Theo, 40, who has been plugged as a possible contender to replace Daniel Craig as 007, opted for a smart beige linen suit. The duo posed for photos on board a boat for the Italian brand's perfume launch. Theo portrayed smug holidaymaker Cameron Sullivan in the second season of the HBO black comedy drama, The White Lotus. And, he is currently in the running to play the next James Bond, with John Hill from Coral saying: 'We have seen a strong wave of support for Theo James.' A host of names have been touted for the part since Daniel Craig's announcement that he will be leaving the franchise, from household names such as Luther star Idris Elba to lesser known actors like Scotsman Stuart Martin. Theo has previously impressed while playing rogue, morally ambiguous characters somewhat similar to Bond in The White Lotus and and Guy Ritchie 's The Gentlemen. The actor had been one of the frontrunners for the role a couple of years ago but was bumped down odds lists after an interview with The Guardian in 2024. He told the publication: 'Everyone's interested in playing Bond because it's a big part of British cultural identity, but that probably wouldn't be me. 'I do think there are better people for that job. And honestly it would be terrifying... you're opening Pandora's Box.' However speculation linking the 40-year-old to the famous tux seem to have reignited in recent weeks after a number of other actors had stints as favourites, including Henry Cavill and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Ladbrokes, a betting company, currently have Theo leading the race with odds of 6/4, putting him above Cavill (3/1), Taylor-Johnson (7/2) and Jack Lowden (8/1) in the running. While another betting shop, Coral list the candidates as Theo James at 6/4, Henry Cavill (3/1), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (7/2), James Norton (6/1) then Jack Lowden (12/1). Odds placing Theo as the favourite come just a week after Superman actor Henry, 42, soared to the top of the bookies' lists. Ladbrokes representative Cal Gildart said: 'Henry Cavill's return to the head of the Bond betting didn't last long, with Theo James as short as anyone has been to pick up the world's most famous license to kill'. It seems fans are similarly confident that Theo could be the perfect man for the role with more than 70% of all bets on the next 007 last month placed on him, according to Coral. On their list of potential candidates is also Harris Dickinson, Callum Turner, Josh O'Connor, and Stuart Martin.
