Lady Gaga Blocks Disturbed Blocked From Returning To No. 1
Disturbed's cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Sound of Silence' may have felt like a surprising choice when it was first released years ago, but it has since gone on to become a career-defining smash for the group. Multiple versions of the tune continue to chart to this day, and the hard rock outfit almost returns to the summit on a list few could have predicted it would ever reach — let alone lead. The rockers are currently held back from ruling the show once more by one of the biggest pop stars of all time. Years after Disturbed's version of 'The Sound of Silence' became a hit, the group released a remix by producer Cyril. That version has also become a smash in its own right, albeit one that reaches different Billboard lists than the hard rock original. The remixed track can still be found on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, where this frame it steps up from No. 4 to No. 2. Disturbed only misses ruling again by one spot, as 'Abracadabra' by Lady Gaga refuses to budge. That tune has spent 16 of its 19 weeks on the list of the bestselling dance tracks in America in first place. 'Abracadabra' is proving to be a true bestseller in the dance world this year. Last week, the track blocked Tate McRae's 'Just Keep Watching' from debuting at No. 1, and this frame it dips from the runner-up spot to No. 3. Recently, Gaga's Mayhem single also blocked 'Blessings' by Calvin Harris and Clementine Douglas and a remix of Creed's 'One Last Breath' by ATLiens from ruling, as all of those cuts missed the mark by just one space. While Disturbed's 'The Sound of Silence' might be forced to settle for second place at the moment, it has already spent time running the show. The hard rock group has only ever landed one win on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, and 'The Sound of Silence' has commanded the list for half a dozen frames out of the 71 stints it has spent somewhere on the tally. The Disturbed song currently lives inside the top 10 on two similarly-composed but different-sounding rosters. As it settles into second place on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, the original cover dips slightly to No. 4 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales ranking. In just a few weeks, the tune will reach 500 frames as a bestseller on that roster.

Calvin Harris installs 'privacy glass' at his $4.8m Cotswold mansion after realizing bus passengers can see inside

Since he sold his song catalogue in 2020 for a reported $102 million he has invested heavily in property. Already the owner of a $16 million mansion in Los Angeles, a $10.1 million London townhouse, and a 138-acre farm in Ibiza, Calvin appears to have found his UK base in the Cotswolds, alongside celebrity neighbors Kate Moss, and Jeremy Clarkson. Ellen DeGeneres also relocated to the Cotswolds late last year but sold her house and moved to another nearby property. The first house had come close to flooding after a deluge and she also found that a width restrictor at the end of her lane was too narrow for her 4x4 to comfortably pass. Meanwhile the Beckhams, who bought their home in the Cotswolds in 2016 had a number of planning issues during their renovations. Earlier this month one of their neighbors objected to the Beckhams plans to renovate a barn, saying 'This is just the latest in a long line of applications to build new structures on this land, plus a giant lake. Why do famous people move out to the country and then clutter up their land with endless buildings and make silly alterations? It makes no sense.' However, permission was granted.

BEYONCE has sparked suggestions she's upping sticks from her Stateside pad and moving to England. The Halo hitmaker, who recently toured her Cowboy Carter gigs in London, has allegedly been seen viewing land in the Cotswolds countryside with rapper husband Jay-Z, 55. 6 6 6 Beyonce, 43, reportedly took a helicopter ride with her spouse, with whom she shares three kids, to get a better look at the Oxfordshire pile. The land supposedly spanned 58 acres and a source told The Oxford Mail: "In the past week, Beyonce and Jay-Z flew via helicopter between her London gigs to view a 58-acre plot of land. "Located close to friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, and with Simon Cowell and the Beckhams as neighbours, she felt it would be an ideal UK home for her family, away from the city when they're in the country." Her chopper is reported to have landed at Enstone Airfield, with the visit squeezed in between her London shows. Sources previously told MailOnline the "land and space" offered in the Cotwolds proved a huge draw and previously said: "The wildfires have given them a good reason to look outside of Los Angeles to build new bases.
