Will Call of Duty Black Ops 7 have wall running?
Image via Activision. There is no doubt that Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has to be one of the most exciting announcements at the recently concluded Xbox Games Showcase 2025. This announcement trailer also confirmed the return of David Mason, face of the Black Ops series. However, the hottest topic regarding this upcoming CoD title is surely its movement mechanics. Black Ops 6 stunned everybody with its never-seen-ever movement scheme called Omni-movement. Now, the successor is believed to do the same, but will it bring back one iconic maneuver technique from the past? Call of Duty Black Ops 7 won't have wall-running Activision has recently stated that Call of Duty Black Ops 7 won't feature wall-running or jetpacks. This has been confirmed by the senior director of communications at Activision herself, Stephanie Snowden, in a new episode of COD Pod. Black Ops 7 Teaser Secrets EXPLAINED + BTS of How Finishing Moves are Really Made | COD POD Ep. 006 Wall-running is something we prevalently saw in older CoD titles like Black Ops 3, Advanced Warfare, and others. We have seen how the Omni-movement divided the CoD community in two halves. Some players found it pretty awesome, whereas a large chunk of the fanbase felt it killed the original Call of Duty vibe by prioritizing movement over gunplay. But before this wall-running was the most talked-about movement mechanism in this franchise. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Discover the best investment opportunity. سالك Learn More Undo Now, Omni-movement will likely be featured in Black Ops 7 as well. That is why fans also thought wall-running might make a return as well, keeping in mind its capability to sync with the Omni-movement. Not only that, there were even prominent leaks all around the internet when players started wall-running in Black Ops 6, which actually wasn't even a part of the game. Many people thought Activision might have added this feature in BO6 to try it out so that it can be added in BO7. But that's not the case. Snowden also confirmed that despite being released right after Black Ops 6, the upcoming title is set 30 years before Black Ops 3. After hearing this, the omission of wall-running makes a lot of sense as BO3 actually featured it. However, there has been several rumors from credible industry insiders that despite the absence of wall-running, Black Ops 7 might feature wall-jumping. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 pre-order date leaked online
Image via Activision. After so much anticipation, Activision has finally announced Call of Duty Black Ops 7. During the recently concluded Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025, this highly awaited title was officially revealed with a teaser, which also confirmed the return of none other than David Mason. After 2024's Black Ops 6, we are heading straight towards Black Ops 7 and the probable reason for that might be the former's huge success. The upcoming title is slated to be released in the late 2025, exact release dates to be confirmed later. However, we might have already got the pre-order details. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 pre-order rumored to begin very soon Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was revealed just a few days ago with a 3-minute long official teaser, which gave us the first look at the game along with the return of David Mason, the face of this popular COD sub-series. This teaser also gave us an idea of the setting of the game, an epic return of the franchise's futuristic backdrop, which is set more than 40 years after Black Ops 6 and more than a decade after Black Ops 2. Now, this is a pretty small time span to claim that, but a Twitter user might have gotten the pre-order date of this game, just two days after its official reveal. As per CharlieIntel, this user named Icey somehow got his hands on the official Black Ops 7 poster from GameStop, and according to this fan these retail shops are informed that the pre-order of this upcoming title is going to begin on June 20, 2025. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Now, this information also aligns with a theory which claims that the game is going to get a full reveal on the same date, as this exact date was seen in the 'Cordis Die - A Newer World' YouTube video by Raul Menendez in the Black Ops 2 timeline. This date was also seen in the official key art of Black Ops 7. Even if this happens, then it shouldn't be a surprising fact to the fans as pre-order of Black Ops 6 started on the same day it was first officially revealed, on June 9, 2024. However, as all of these mere speculations and rumors, nothing should be taken for granted and we must wait for the official confirmation from Activision. Call of Duty Black Ops 7 teaser: David Mason will battle fear itself to save a world on the brink of chaos. Watch
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 teaser: The Call of Duty game series is one of the most popular gaming properties in the world, with their catalogue spanning across two decades and 23 games. Published originally by Activision in 2003, the series and its characters have become synonymous with first-person shooter games, and now they are back with another addition to their prolific collection. Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Black Ops 7 is set in 2035 and will pick up from after the events of Black Ops 2 and 6. Our protagonist, David 'Section' Mason, who was earlier voiced by Avatar actor David Worthington, will now be voiced by actor Milo Ventimiglia, who is best known for his role in the TV series Gilmore Girls. David can be seen exploring the offices of The Guild, which poses as a company building tech for the betterment of society but in reality is a criminal organisation. David soon realises how the company's innovations are getting more advanced and stronger and how the promise of protecting the entire world is just another way of putting it in a cage. ALSO WATCH | 007 First Light announcement trailer: James Bond is a bullet looking for a target in the new game David follows a red butterfly, which seems to be a digital creation, and finds himself in a world with its dimensions all warped. As the butterfly lands upon a hand that emerges from the dark, the palm closes, reducing the butterfly to dust, and we hear the familiar voice of Raul Menendez, the main antagonist of Black Ops 2 and Call of Duty Strike Team. For context, Menendez is a Nicaraguan drug lord who planned an attack against the US government and other heads of state. While the teaser doesn't give away the exact motive behind Menendez's plans, we get an idea about his psyche going into this narrative as he snarls while addressing David and says, 'Fear is a powerful thing, David Mason.' No confirmation regarding the release date was made, but most Call of Duty games drop in either October or November. The caption posted by the developers along with the teaser reads, 'The year is 2035, and the world is on the brink of chaos, ravaged by violent conflict and psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. Wielding cutting-edge technology, the Black Ops team led by David Mason must fight back against a manipulative enemy who weaponises fear above all else.'
