Baltimore Orioles complete sweep of Los Angeles Angels with 11-2 rout

The Orioles (30-40) are within 10 games of .500 for the first time since they were 15-25. Nolan Schanuel homered for Los Angeles. Baltimore took a 3-2 lead against left-hander Yusei Kikuchi (2-6) on Ramón Laureano's RBI single in the fourth, and then chased Kikuchi in the sixth. June 15 - Gary Sanchez belted a seventh-inning grand slam to help the Baltimore Orioles record an 11-2 victory against the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon, completing a three-game sweep. Sanchez homered for the second day in a row after missing time since late April with an injury. Ramon Urias and Jordan Westburg also homered as Baltimore produced its third series sweep in its last five series. Cade Povich (2-5) was the winning pitcher, logging 3 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing three hits and one walk and logging four strikeouts. It marked the first time in his last six outings that the Orioles won the game. Five Baltimore pitchers combined on a five-hitter. Gunnar Henderson joined Urias, Sanchez and Westburg with two hits. Baltimore's runs came with a total of 12 hits. The team has won four of its last five games overall. Nolan Schanuel hit a home run and had two of the Angels' hits. Starter Yusei Kikuchi (2-6) took the loss, surrendering five runs (three earned) across 5 2/3 innings despite striking out 10 batters.
