"11 Years Of Digital India": Home Minister Amit Shah Praises PM Modi's Vision
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday highlighted the achievements of the central government's digital initiatives and said that India has emerged as a leading digital economy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 11 years of governance. The Home Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed every sector of the economy and society through the digital revolution. "The Modi government democratised the use of technology and harnessed its power for the business sector, making Bharat a leading digital economy in the world in the 11 years of Digital India. Whether it is healthcare, education, trade, or commerce, PM Narendra Modi has transformed every sector of the economy and society through the digital revolution," posted Shah on X. Earlier on Tuesday, Amit Shah expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Union Cabinet approved the two multitracking projects across Indian Railways covering seven Districts in Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In a post on X, Shah said that the projects will "turbocharge" the growth journey of these states. "Gratitude to PM @narendramodi Ji for approving the project of multi-tracking of railways in 7 districts across Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. The projects will turbocharge the growth journey of these states, speeding up the prosperity of businesses and individuals and creating ample employment opportunities for the youth," Amit Shah said. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday, approved two projects of the Ministry of Railways worth Rs 6,405 crore, with the aim to improve travel convenience, reduce logistic cost, decrease oil imports and contribute to lower CO2 emissions. The two projects covering seven Districts across the states of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 318 km. The approved multi-tracking project will enhance connectivity to approximately. 1,408 villages, which have a population of about 28.19 lakh.

CCEA green-flags railway projects worth Rs 6,405 cr
New Delhi: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved two multi-tracking projects across the Indian Railways network, entailing an investment of Rs. 6,405 crore. The first project relates to the doubling of the 133 km Koderma–Barkakana railway line, which passes through a major coal-producing area of Jharkhand. It also serves as the shortest and efficient rail link between Patna and Ranchi. The second project involves doubling of the 185 km Ballari–Chikjajur railway line, which traverses through Ballari and Chitradurga districts of Karnataka and Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The two projects covering seven districts across the states of Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 318 km and are expected to generate direct employment for about 108 lakh human-days during construction, the official statement said.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved two significant railway infrastructure projects totalling ₹6,405 crore. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and logistics across Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday on social media outlet X. The projects involve doubling the Koderma–Barkakana railway line (133 km) in Jharkhand and the Ballari–Chikjajur line (185 km) spanning Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. These additions will expand India's rail network by 318 km, serving approximately 1,408 villages with a combined population exceeding 2.8 million. 'Today, two vital projects relating to the Railways were approved. Covering various states, these projects will improve connectivity, commerce and also boost sustainability," PM Modi said in a post on X. The Koderma–Barkakana line traverses a major coal-producing region and provides the shortest rail link between Patna and Ranchi. The Ballari–Chikjajur section runs through key industrial and mining areas, facilitating the transport of essential commodities such as coal, iron ore, cement and steel. The multi-tracking initiative is also expected to improve service reliability and create enhanced job and self-employment opportunities within the region. Launched in 2021, India's Gati Shakti initiative is a national infrastructure master plan designed to stimulate economic growth through coordinated and expedited development. It integrates key ministries, including railways, roads, ports, aviation, power and telecom, onto a single digital platform for more efficient infrastructure planning and execution. The initiative aims to minimise logistics costs, reduce delays, and ensure seamless multimodal connectivity nationwide. By integrating infrastructure planning, Gati Shakti promotes the efficient movement of goods and people, strengthens industrial connections and enhances India's global competitiveness. The projects are in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji's Vision of a New India which will make people of the region 'Atmanirbhar' by way of comprehensive development in the area which will enhance their employment/ self-employment opportunities,' according to a statement by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The two projects covering seven Districts across the states of Jharkhand, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, will increase the existing network of Indian Railways by about 318 Kms. The approved multi-tracking project will enhance connectivity to approx. 1,408 villages, which are having a population of about 28.19 lakh. 'These are essential routes for transportation of commodities such as coal, iron ore, finished steel, cement, fertilizers, agriculture commodities, and Petroleum products etc. The capacity augmentation works will result in additional freight traffic of magnitude 49 MTPA (Million Tonnes Per Annum). The Railways being environment friendly and energy efficient mode of transportation, will help both in achieving climate goals and minimizing logistics cost of the country, reduce oil import (52 Crore Litres) and lower CO2 emissions (264 Crore Kg) which is equivalent to plantation of 11 Crore trees,' the statement read.
