CHICAGO — Police are asking for help in the search for an endangered teen girl who officers said has been missing for several days. According to Chicago police, 17-year-old Sirrena Jackson has been missing since around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11. Police described the teen as an 'endangered missing juvenile,' though it is unclear exactly why. The missing teen, who has red hair and brown eyes, stands 5-foot-4 and weighs around 100 pounds. Additionally, the teen is known to have a tattoo on her right knee that reads 'GCSY.' 2 killed after gunman opens fire on car on West Side overnight

According to Chicago police, the deadly shooting unfolded just before midnight in the 100 block of North Laramie Avenue in Austin. Police share photos of man wanted in connection with sexual assault of young girls at Loop playground
CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities in Chicago are offering a warning to residents in the Loop amid the search for a man who police say sexually assaulted two young girls at a playground on Wednesday evening. According to police, the incident unfolded just after 7:30 p.m. at a playground in Jones Park, located in the 1200 block of South Plymouth Court in the Loop. Officers said the victims, three minor girls, were at the playground when the unknown man approached one of them and grabbed her as she crawled on the equipment. Following the incident, the three girls left the playground, but police say the man proceeded to follow them briefly before he fled northbound through the Plymouth Court tunnel. On Thursday, Chicago police shared photos captured by surveillance cameras of the man as officers continued their search. Officers say they believe the person responsible is a Black man who is between 60 and 70 years old. Additionally, officers said the man was missing teeth but had at least one gold tooth remaining and was bald-headed with grey or white facial hair. At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt bearing a white skeleton decal and blue jeans. Man arrested after gun fired on CTA bus in West Town
CHICAGO (WGN) — A man is in custody after officers say he allegedly fired a gun on a CTA bus on the West Side early Friday morning. Officers said the incident unfolded around 1:30 a.m. on a bus that was driving in the 1400 block of North Ashland Avenue in West Town. Officers said following the gunshot, the bus came to a stop and the suspect allegedly fled the scene. Authorities responded to the scene and quickly caught up with the suspect and took him into custody. Following his arrest, a gun was recovered. Offices say charges against the man are now pending. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and no injuries were reported. Police search for driver after victim injured in South Side hit-and-run crash overnight
CHICAGO — Authorities are asking for help from the public in the search for a driver wanted in connection with a South Side hit-and-run crash that left a person seriously injured overnight. Chicago police say the crash unfolded just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday night as the victim was crossing the street in the 700 block of East 79th Street. Following the crash, officers said the driver of the Malibu allegedly fled the scene, heading west along 79th St., toward South Martin Luther King Drive. Police said the victim was seriously injured in the crash, though the extent of their injuries remains unclear. On Thursday, police shared a photo of the vehicle wanted in connection with the crash. Officers were not able to provide a description of the driver but said their vehicle had an Illinois license plate with the tag number DH27880.
