CST Wins SCF Mobile Network Award for Innovative 5GXtreme Solution
The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has been recognized at the SCF Mobile Network Awards for its pioneering 5GXtreme solution—marking a first-of its kind achievement in the Middle East and North Africa.
This innovative solution provides indoor 5G coverage using C-RAN technology via shared outdoor telecom rooms, enabling efficient deployment in high-rise and densely populated urban areas. Moreover, CST reports the model can cut deployment costs by up to 60% and reduce power consumption by as much as 70%, while significantly improving service quality and operational performance within buildings.
Additionally, the award was announced at the Small Cell World Summit , a premier global event focused on wireless connectivity and advanced network solutions for challenging environments.
