Bruce Willis' wife Emma celebrates birthday with his ex Demi Moore and their family amid actor's dementia battle

Bruce Willis ' wife Emma Heming rung in her 47th birthday during a lowkey celebration with her blended family this week. The entrepreneur - who tied the knot with the Die Hard actor in 2009 - jumped to Instagram on Thursday to share moments from the special day while joined by her two children, as well as Demi Moore and Rumer Willis. Heming shares Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, with Willis - who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) back in 2023. Moore was previously married to Bruce from 1987 until their divorce was finalized in 2000. The former couple are parents to Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31. In one image uploaded to Emma's latest carousel of snaps, she flashed a cheerful smile during a birthday dinner. She was surrounded by her two daughters, as well as the Golden Globe winner. Rumer's daughter Louetta also joined in on the lighthearted festivities - although Bruce as well as Scout and Tallulah were notably absent from the gathering. Another picture was taken as Emma - who officially turned one year older on June 18 - blew out a candle on top of a sugary slice of cake as the group spent time outside at a restaurant. A short clip included in the post showed Louetta, two - whom Rumer shares with ex Derek Richard Thomas - sweetly wishing Heming happy birthday. Lastly, the mom-of-two shared another reel as both she and her daughters enjoyed a bike ride outside. In the caption, she penned to her nearly 1 million followers: 'Over the past few weeks, I've been wrapped in so much love for my birthday. 'From Bruce, our girl's, my mom, my family, and dear friends. I feel their love and support holding me up in ways words can't always capture.' Emma concluded with, 'Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes. I truly felt your continued kindness and I'm grateful. I had a beautiful day.' Tallulah jumped to the comment section and wrote to Heming, 'You are so loved.' In 2022, Bruce 'stepped away' from acting following his aphasia diagnosis and the following year, it was revealed that he has frontotemporal dementia. Tallulah jumped to the comment section and wrote to Heming, 'You are so loved' The blended family has come together to support Willis and each other amid his ongoing battle with the illness. In March, they celebrated the retired actor's 70th birthday - and shared memorable pictures onto social media. During an interview with Town & Country Magazine last year, Emma opened up about how she receives support from Demi as well as the actress' three daughters. 'The family respects the way I'm looking after him; they really support me. If I need to vent, if I need to cry, if I need to rage - because all of that can happen and it's okay to have those feelings - they are always there to listen.' Heming added, 'I'm so thankful that we are this blended family. They're very supportive, very loving, and very helpful, and a lot of people don't have that.' She also expressed at the time that she doesn't 'shield' her daughters from their dad's diagnosis. Heming explained, 'This disease is misdiagnosed, it's missed, it's misunderstood. So finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and I could educate our children.' Emma added, 'I've never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They've grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I'm not trying to shield them from it.' 'What I learned from our therapist was that if children ask questions, they're ready to know the answer. If we could see that Bruce was struggling, I would address it with the kids so they could understand, but this disease is chronic, progressive and terminal.' Heming told the outlet that their children don't tend 'to speak about the terminal side of this with them, nor have they asked.' However, she expressed that Mabel and Evelyn 'know that Daddy's not going to get better.' Emma said that she was not going to let 'FTD to take our whole family down. Bruce wouldn't want that,' while adding that she hopes to help the 'next family out there.' Over the past weekend, she paid a heartwarming tribute to her husband in celebration of Father's Day. She uploaded a throwback photo of daughter Mabel hugging her dad and wrote, 'Happy Father's Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them. 'What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present. This photo says so much. Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes.' However, she also candidly added that 'these symbolic days stir up a lot' and admitted that she was 'profoundly sad today.' 'I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family.' Emma continued, 'As they say in our FTD community, "It is what it is." And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to. 'Today, let's celebrate the bada** dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us Onward.' Rumer also shared a post in tribute of her dad Bruce and got candid about how she 'feels a deep ache.' She shared photos of the actor from over the years, including a black and white image as she embraced Willis. 'Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life. To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes.' The actress added, 'I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. 'But I know you wouldn't want me to be sad today so I'll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you're my dad and that you're still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.' Rumer continued, 'I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you so much dad happy Father's Day. 'Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers, to the single moms who are the dads too, to my future baby daddy…' Emma is also preparing to release a book titled The Unexpected Journey - which will hit shelves later this year on September 9th.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Reveals 'Good Idea' That Ended Sylvester Stallone Feud

During an interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM's Radio Andy, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed the 'good idea' that led to him and Sylvester Stallone ending their years-long feud. 'We were kind of attacking each other and doing nasty things and saying nasty things about each other and all these stupid things,' Schwarzenegger recalled of the period in the late '80s during which the two actors were competing to be the top box office draw. 'All of a sudden, I started working with Robert Earl and Keith Parish to create the Planet Hollywood franchise, those restaurants,' he explained. 'The next thing I know is I get a phone call from my lawyer, who was also Sly's lawyer, he said, 'Arnold, is there any kind of room for Sly in Planet Hollywood?'' Schwarzenegger had to think about it at first, but eventually decided that letting Stallone into the fray would be good for business and their relationship. 'That's actually a good idea, because it could bring us together,' the Terminator star remembers thinking. 'And I wanted that. At that point, I had grown out of my craziness.'Planet Hollywood launched in 1991 with the help of Schwarzenegger, Stallone, and Bruce Willis—all of whom would go on to star together in The Expendables 2. 'Bruce Willis became part of Planet Hollywood, Whoopi Goldberg became part of Planet Hollywood, Chuck Norris,' Schwarzenegger added. 'It really was kind of an international cast.' The opening of Planet Hollywood led to a lucrative professional partnership for Stallone and Schwarzenegger. In addition to his appearance in Stallone's Expendables franchise, Schwarzenegger has starred with the Rocky actor in 2013's Escape Plan. "There's no two ways about that: He was very helpful in my career because I had something that I could chase," Schwarzenegger joked. What would Stallone have to say about that? Gary Oldman Names The Film Of His He's 'Triggered' By When He Sees It

Sir Gary Oldman has admitted there's one hugely popular film of his that he still struggles to sit through. The newly-knighted British actor recently sat down with the Happy Sad Confused podcast for a career-spanning conversation about his life and acting. During the discussion, host Josh Horowitz brought up The Fifth Element, the sci-fi movie Sir Gary starred in back in 1997. While the film – which also featured Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Chris Tucker – split opinion down the middle upon its original release, it's since gone on to become a cult classic with a loyal following. However, it seems Sir Gary is not a part of that. The Oscar winner revealed that while his wife of eight years, Gisele Schmidt, has talked him round from hating the film, it's still not one he'd want to watch without her encouragement. 'She has convinced me that it's a better film than I think it is,' he said, to laughter from the audience. 'I'm contaminated, because I was the one who had that haircut. And I was the one who was wearing rubber. So, others can experience it in a different way. I get a little triggered when I see it, and I go back to that place of Jean-Paul Gaultier and rubber.' He added: 'Bruce didn't like [that] either. You know that orange vest that he wears? He hated it.' During a 2014 interview with Playboy, Sir Gary claimed he 'can't bear' watching The Fifth Element, having said at a Bafta event years earlier: 'It was me singing for my supper because [director Luc Besson] had come in and partly financed Nil By Mouth.' It's fair to say that Sir Gary has no issues criticising his own past work, though. That same Playboy interview saw him admitting he's unimpressed with his own performance in Sid & Nancy, claiming he 'didn't want to make it in the first place' and was 'talked into it at the time'. In 2023, he also described his performance as Sirius Black in the Harry Potter movies as 'mediocre'. 'If I sat and watched myself in something and said, 'My God, I'm amazing,' that would be a very sad day, because you want to make the next thing better,' he added. Bruce Willis' family share poignant messages about dads ‘living with disability or disease'

Bruce Willis' family celebrated him on Father's Day, while acknowledging holidays can feel 'hard' as he lives with CNN Newsource Bruce Willis' family celebrated him on Father's Day, while acknowledging holidays can feel 'hard' as he lives with dementia. 'Happy Father's Day to all the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can and to the children who show up for them,' Wills' wife, Emma Hemming, wrote in a post on Instagram. 'What Bruce teaches our girls goes far beyond words. Resilience, unconditional love, and the quiet strength in simply being present.' 'Love deepens. It adapts. It stays, even when everything else changes. But to be fair to myself, these symbolic days stir up a lot,' she continued. 'I'm profoundly sad today. I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family.' Hemming shares two daughters Willis. He is also the father of three adult daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore. In 2022, it was announced that Willis would be stepping away from his decades-long Hollywood career due to cognitive issues after being diagnosed with aphasia, a brain disorder affecting communication. The following year, his family updated his diagnosis to frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a progressive brain condition. Wills' eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, shared several photos of her dad from over the years in a separate post on Sunday. 'Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I'm doing and what's going on in my life. To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes. I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. 'Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me.' Hemming, too, ended her message with positivity. 'As they say in our FTD community, 'It is what it is.' And while that might sound dismissive, to me, it's not. It grounds me. It helps me return to the acceptance of what is and not fight this every step of the way like I used to,' Hemming wrote. 'Today, let's celebrate the badass dads, those who are here, and those we carry with us. Onward.' By Alli Rosenbloom, CNN
