Cape Breton musicians come together for hall of fame induction ceremony
The Cape Breton Music Industry Hall of Fame is pictured. (Ryan MacDonald/CTV Atlantic) Dozens of musicians will take to the stage at Centre 200 in Sydney, N.S., to honour the newest inductees into the Cape Breton Music Industry Hall of Fame. The show, which kicks off at 7 p.m. on Thursday, will feature more than 50 Cape Breton performers. Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative. The inductees to the hall of fame are Bruce Guthro, the Rankin Family and Donnie Campbell. The hall of fame, which is turning three years old this year, has previously inducted Rita MacNeil, Matt Minglewood, the Men of the Deeps, John Allan Cameron, Winston Scotty Fitzgerald and Joella Foulds.
