Jax Taylor shocks fans with horrific marriage insult directed at estranged wife Brittany Cartwright

Jax Taylor stunned viewers on Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night with a blunt confession about his crumbling marriage to estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. The Valley star, 45, reflected on his behavior during their rocky final months, many of which played out on camera—including multiple explosive fights with Brittany, 36, who filed for divorce in August 2024. The pair share a 4-year-old son, Cruz. 'Nobody should ever have to deal with the way I acted,' Jax admitted. 'Nobody should ever have to deal with, verbal abuse from anybody. I'm really sorry that people had to see all that.' But the real bombshell came when he looked back on their marriage—and dropped a line that fans quickly slammed as a cruel dig at the mother of his child. 'My biggest regret is not ending this marriage sooner,' Jax said. He didn't stop there. 'And I think I can speak for Brittany, this should have been over a long time ago.' Host Andy Cohen jumped in, visibly taken aback: 'Your biggest regret should maybe be how you treated her?' Jax responded simply: 'Yeah.' Fans were quick to comment on social media. 'Watching Jax is a straight up trigger for me, I had a panic attack watching the episode tonight. He should not have a platform to make this kind of behavior seem normal. He is disgusting!' wrote one. Faiza from Ottawa added, 'Jax Taylor should be in jail. Not on our tv screens. What message is bravo sending? That they dont support women and support abusers time and time again? Absolutely disgusting.' Many fans chimed in on social media as well, including @maxhadid30, who said, '#TheValley #WWHL (The Valley producer) Alex Baskin and Bravo will be complicit when Jax eventually seriously hurts/kills somebody. It's disgusting that Bravo and Alex insist on platforming and enabling a dangerous abuser like Jax Taylor.' Erin Moon Honey Davies (@erinheartscoco) added, 'It's gross that Jax Taylor is going to be on #WWHL tonight. Why is he still being given a platform? Extremely disappointed by this for many reasons but the #1 is that he hit his wife and #2 is that his child was present for it @Andy @BravoWWHL @NBCUniversal #TheValley.' In March, Jax revealed he had been addicted to cocaine and sought treatment at a rehabilitation facility—twice. Taylor also admitted to blowing a staggering amount of money on drugs and alcohol since his early 20s. 'I could probably buy a house for the amount of money I've spent on drugs,' he told USWeekly. 'It's sickening to me. My parents did not raise this kind of person.' The candid interview comes after Cartwright admitted she was 'skeptical' about her ex's ability to turn his life around. 'I'm glad that he finally admitted to what was really going on,' she shared to People. 'For the first time, I can speak openly about the extent of trauma he's instilled on our family over the years,' she continued. 'I've tried desperately to help him without success. 'I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction, but I'm skeptical,' she added. 'His behaviors are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum. 'I'm trying to navigate this as best as I can for my son and I, but every day is still a challenge and very difficult,' Brittany concluded. 'Jax has caused an enormous amount of damage and I have very little trust in him at this point. My only hope is that one day, he will be a better person for his son.' The couple first crossed paths in 2015, with their turbulent relationship playing out on Vanderpump Rules and their short-lived spinoff, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky. They tied the knot in 2019 with a lavish wedding at the Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky. After being fired from Vanderpump Rules in late 2020, Jax and Brittany eventually made their reality TV comeback as main cast members on The Valley in 2024. In the midst of it all, they welcomed their son, Cruz, in 2021.

Jax Taylor Reveals He's Regularly Drug Tested as He Gives Update on His Sobriety: 'I Want to Be Held Accountable'

Jax Taylor confirmed that he is getting regularly drug tested, by both his therapist and his ex-wife Brittany Cartwright, on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 17 The Vanderpump Rules alum was put on the spot by host Andy Cohen about how he's maintaining his commitment to staying sober nearly a year after he entered an in-patient facility for treatment Taylor, who shares 4-year-old son Cruz with Cartwright, also issued a public apology for his behavior on The Valley season 2 on WWHL, which he said he's "utterly embarrassed" ofJax Taylor is over 200 days sober. The 45-year-old spoke candidly about his life and his recovery on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, June 17, as host Andy Cohen grilled him about his sobriety and how he's maintaining it. Taylor also revealed how his ex-wife, Brittany Cartwright, who filed for divorce after a six-month separation when he got out of rehab in August, plays a role in his ongoing sobriety. After sharing that he is over 200 days sober — ever since he exited rehab in August — Taylor was asked by Cohen how his sobriety can be trusted. "I have my therapist [drug test me] when I go into therapy, it was kind of the deal," The Valley star said. "I don't have to do that legally, but I said, you know what, I want to be held accountable." Cartwright, 36, also has access to drug tests to keep Taylor on track. "Brittany has drug tests at the house [so she] can drug test me anytime you want." Taylor revealed his addiction issues, which he said he'd had "on and off since I was 23," on a March podcast episode. He said at the time he didn't "necessarily think I have an alcohol problem," but that his substance issues, which were primarily with cocaine, went "hand in hand" with drinking. After sharing the he's regularly drug tested, Taylor told Cohen, "To be honest with you, right now, that isn't my issue." He said that instead, he has "a lot of other issues that I've gotta deal with" that feel like a bigger priority right now. Among those are his "ego, my anger, my control, my manipulation," he said. At the start of his interview on the show, Taylor told audience members and Bravo fans, "I want to apologize to everybody who's watching this right now." "It's just, the stuff that was shown [on season 2 of The Valley] is pretty triggering to a lot of people and you know I'm watching it back, I watch the episodes now, which is a first. You watch it back and it's just, like, I'm utterly embarrassed of my actions." He continued, "Nobody should ever have to deal with the way I acted, nobody should ever have to deal with, you know, verbal abuse from anybody ... I'm really sorry that people had to see all that." Jax Taylor offers groveling apology for behavior on The Valley as fans begin petition to get him booted off show

After a whole season of questionable and controversial behavior on The Valley, Jax Taylor offered numerous groveling apologies on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. The 45-year-old reality star from Vanderpump Rules and now The Valley appeared alongside his former VPR co-star Tom Schwartz on Tuesday's episode of WWHL. Host Andy Cohen even began the episode by acknowledging that many people weren't happy that he was on the show in the first place, including Kristen Doute. When Andy mentioned that Doute commented that she didn't believe he should be on the show, Jax snidely responded, 'I didn't know she was the boss.' Many fans of the show agreed as well, with a petition started on Tuesday entitled, 'Remove Jax Taylor from Television for Offensive Conduct.' While fans expressed their anger with Jax, the reality star spent the brunt of the episode essentially apologizing for everything, while revealing his biggest 'regret' in his relationship with Brittany Cartwright as well. Cohen opened the show by asking Jax what he would say to fans who thought he shouldn't be there in the first place, as he issued the first of several apologies. 'First of all, I want to apologize to everybody who is watching this right now. The stuff that was shown is pretty triggering to a lot of people, and I am watching it back, I watched the episode now,' Jax said, as Andy mentioned that was 'a first' since he apparently never watched VPR or The Valley before. 'You watch it back, and I am just utterly embarrassed of my actions. Like I said, nobody should ever have to deal with the way I acted. Nobody should have to deal with, you know, verbal abuse from anybody,' as Cohen added, 'At minimum.' Jax added, 'Yeah, I'm really sorry that, you know, people had to see all that,' before Andy asked, 'And are you sorry to Britney?" 'Very sorry to Britney, because it was a very, very, very tough year for both of us,' he said, before confirming he is currently, '201 days sober.' He confirmed that those 201 days represent him getting out of rehab until now, adding that he is currently being drug tested regularly, even though it isn't mandatory. 'I have my therapist do it when I go into therapy, it was a deal. I don't have to do that, legally, but I said, you know what? I want to be held accountable,' Jax said. He added that, 'Britney has drug tests at the house, she can test me anytime she wants. To be honest with you right now, that is not the issue, I have a lot of other issues.' Jax admitted his 'ego, anger, control and manipulation' were the things he needed to address the most, though Andy mentioned some thought the rehab place was, 'B.S.' adding it was 'weird' that he had his phone and he was allowed to leave. 'Right. Yeah, I don't make the rules. So, the state of California, they don't allow you to have without your phone for 48 hours. I took advantage of that, but should I have left the phone? Absolutely. But, I needed a control because I am a control freak and I felt like that was my only sense of control,' Jax admitted. He added the rehab facility was called Psyclarity, when Andy brought him him, 'uncovering the security cameras and spying on Britney.' 'That was, yeah, another one. You know, just, again, just a sense of control. And when you are in this thing -- oh, I am there, we are filming a show. In the back of my head, I am like, I know these things are going on, I know they are talking about me, and I couldn't really lean on my therapy because I knew in the back of my head that they were talking, and there were things going on and I couldn't control except for my phone and the rage text were obviously very inappropriate, but I was looking for something in return, I wanted to see if she cared and that is why I was doing all of that,' Jax admitted. When Andy asked, 'How do not tell the mother of your child that you stopped paying the mortgage on the home that your kid lives in?' Jax admitted, 'That was a part of my downfall. This was like, really, when I was in -- I was heavily into drugs and alcohol and just didn't care, I just did not care.' When asked why he was mad about Brittany hooking up with Julian Sensley when he was unfaithful with her, Jax said, 'I wasn't mad about the fact that she was hooking up, it was my friend. But, then, you know, "Look what I did, with the Kristin situation." So, I am like, I don't really have a leg to stand on, I was just really angry in the beginning, really angry at how fast it was. I look back now, I'm not mad anymore, but in the beginning, I was just so angry.' When asked about his lies to Janet and Jason about the house mortgage, he said, 'The goal is to give her the RSS fee, that is the equivalent to helping with the mortgage, that was the goal. He added that their divorce is set to be finalized on July 21, adding that he sees their son Cruz, '2 to 3 times a week, we obviously have different schedules, crazy schedules, so I will take him for a couple days, "Can I have them for the weekend?" That part has been good, I can't complain about that. Hopefully, it stays like that, for now.' When asked about a story about him going to the hospital, which Brittany heard from Jax's sister while he was spying her her, he said that he had high blood pressure and not a heart attack as previously rumored. 'It was high blood pressure. They were testing me, they were like, "Listen, by law, we have to take you to the hospital, while you go sit on the couch and see if it goes down." It went down. They were like, "Why don't you call Brittany and let them know you are not going?" I said, "No." Again, this was a control thing, I wanted to see if they had a reaction, I wanted to see if they cared, I wanted to see if they would call and say "We are worried about him." I felt like nobody cared about me, nobody comes to see me, I just felt very alone,' Jax admitted. When Tom Schwartz was asked his reaction to what Jax was saying, he admitted it was, 'one part, pathetic, but another part, brutally honest.' Schwartz admitted he doesn't think Taylor has changed yet, but he gave him credit for the 201 days of sobriety. Taylor admitted his, 'biggest regret is not ending this marriage sooner,' adding, 'I think this should have been over a long time ago,' as Cohen mentioned, 'Your biggest regret, maybe should also be how you treated her,' as Taylor admitted, 'Yeah, yeah.' Many who signed the petition shared their own stories of abuse at the hands of men like Jax, including Andrea from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. 'Watching Jax is a straight up trigger for me, I had a panic attack watching the episode tonight. He should not have a platform to make this kind of behavior seem normal. He is disgusting!' she said. Many fans chimed in on social media as well, including @maxhadid30, who said, '#TheValley #WWHL (The Valley producer) Alex Baskin and Bravo will be complicit when Jax eventually seriously hurts/kills somebody. Brittany Cartwright freaks out over thought ex Jax Taylor might be SPYING on her inside their home

Brittany Cartwright freaks out over thought ex Jax Taylor might be SPYING on her inside their home Have YOU got a story? Email tips@ A dramatic scene on the latest episode of The Valley left Brittany Cartwright fearing that someone might have been surveilling her home in secret. Episode eight of season two began with her realizing the financial hole she was in after her estranged husband Jax Taylor — who was still away at a rehab facility at the time — had left her in after opting not to pay their home's mortgage while he was in treatment. But after she received a chilling message seemingly referencing events in the home that only she was privy to, she began to fear that someone may have installed a 'bug' in the home. In fact, Brittany — who recently updated fans about her new boyfriend — shared a disturbing theory that it may have been her ex Jax who was listening in on her while he was away at rehab. In one scene late in the episode, Brittany was seen covering up the security cameras inside their shared home, after she accused Jax of watching her without her permission. She had previously been living in a rental home with her and Jax's son Cruz, but now that Jax was in treatment, she wanted to move back into the house. During a phone conversation with Jax's sister, she began to mention that her engagement ring and wedding band had suspiciously gone missing. Brittany Cartwright (R) began to suspect that the home she shares with Jax Taylor had been bugged with listening devices on the June 3 episode of The Valley (pictured) And it was her estranged husband Jax (pictured) that she feared may have bugged the home But the call was dramatically interrupted when a producer for the show rushed on camera and stopped her to show Brittany a text message that Jax had just sent her, presumably from rehab. He had apparently written, 'Make sure you get that on film,' addressing the show's producer. 'I can hear everything. Childish behavior,' he added, suggesting that he was able to hear Brittany's chat with his sister. A shocked Brittany wondered aloud, 'Do you think he put a bug in here?' The producer then wondered how Jax would even know she was in the home. That seemed suspicious to Brittany, who said in a subsequent confessional interview, 'Unless he put some secret devices around this house, our interior cameras don't have sound.' She added, 'But we are speaking about Jax Taylor here, I don't put anything past him anymore.' The plot twist got even more confusing, as Brittany received a call back from Jax's sister while conferencing with her producer. Brittany covered up the security cameras in their home in a rage after learning that her ex hadn't been paying their mortgage while in rehab. But during a phone call she had with his sister, a producer interrupted her with a message she received from Jax 'Make sure you get that on film,' he wrote, addressing the show's producer. 'I can hear everything. Childish behavior,' he added, suggesting that he was able to hear Brittany's chat with his sister; pictured March 14 in LA Brittany worried he may have installed a listening device, as the cameras she covered up allegedly didn't record sound She informed the former Vanderpump Rules star that Jax had told her he had to go to the hospital because he was suffering from high blood pressure. When his estranged wife asked what was causing the issue, his sister said he had told her that he saw her covering up the surveillance cameras in the home, seemingly confirming that he was at least watching them from rehab. It's unclear if he was truly listening in on her conversation, or if he was just bluffing after assuming she had blocked his view on the cameras before a salacious conversation about him. Earlier, Brittany said she was disappointed after 'holding onto a lot of hope that rehab would really help' Jax, only to learn that he had stopped paying their mortgage while he was in treatment. That arrangement forced her to cover the mortgage payments all on her own, while she was also covering the rental house he had forced her to get after he refused to move out of the family home after their separation. 'Him signing this lease without talking to me and knowing I still have this rental home for 2.5 months, he really screwed me over,' she vented. 'I need to move on, I just know I deserve better.' Later, Jax was seen calling his friend Jason Caperna from rehab. During the call, he simultaneously vented about how upset he was that Brittany had been seeing a mutual friend while they were separated and admitted that he had been making her life miserable. After Jason urged him to try to settle things between himself and his estranged wife by picking up the slack on their mortgage payments, he explained how he hoped to take care of the looming financial issue. Jax later told his sister he was going to the hospital for high blood pressure, and he mentioned that he had seen Brittany covering up the security cameras; pictured in 2021 in LA Earlier, Jax told his friend Jason Caperna that he would give Brittany his half of the podcast revenue to help her pay the mortgage while he was away, because he couldn't pay what he owed by himself But after the 'bugging' incident, he allegedly told her in an email that the house was in foreclosure and he would no longer be paying for it at all, seemingly retracting his plans to share the podcast money It was also ironic that he planned to give his have of the revenue from the podcast, as Brittany claimed he hadn't been recording with her for months, leaving her to host it on her own The Valley airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo He bragged that he and Brittany had 'a very successful podcast that we make a lot of money on,' and he said his managed had advised him to give his ex 100 percent of the proceeds until the mortgage and other outstanding payments had been taken care of. 'I don't have the funds just to pay off what I owe,' he explained. But after the scene in which Brittany feared he was listening in on her, Jax appeared to renege on his plans to pitch in on the family's major expenses. While her mother visited her at home, Brittany shared an email with her that Jax had allegedly written her from rehab. 'In terms of the mortgage, I've been trying to contact the bank to pay off what is owed,' she read from the email. 'But they let me know the home is in foreclosure and after this month, I won't be paying anything more. You will be responsible until we sell the house.' Brittany admitted that she didn't know if Jax was serious about sticking her with the bill, or if it was just a ploy for 'attention' from him. 'I was always hopeful that being in the facility would make some kind of change or open his eyes a little bit to do something better, but based on his behavior, the whole time he's been in there, I am so worried he has not learned a damn thing,' she said bitterly as she began to sob. It was also ironic that he planned to give his have of the revenue from the podcast, as Brittany claimed he hadn't been recording with her for months, leaving her to host it on her own. 'But now look at him. How does he do this to me? What in the world did I do to deserve this?' she cried. The Valley airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

Brittany Cartwright shares steamy update on new beau... after mocking ex Jax Taylor's skills in the bedroom

Brittany Cartwright has found herself a new man, and she's sharing some racy details about their burgeoning romance. During an appearance last week on her former Vanderpump Rules costar Lala Kent 's podcast Give Them Lala, Brittany revealed that she had started up a casual new relationship. And on Tuesday, sources told Page Six that the 36-year-old star of The Valley is dating the singer and guitarist Will Gittens. The revelation comes a day after Brittany gave an update on her divorce from Jax Taylor — who sexual prowess she mocked last month — as the the proceedings continue to drag on. A video posted to the Instagram account of Will's music production studio showed Brittany with him after a concert in Los Angeles last month, which at least one of her costars reportedly joined her at. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the . View this post on Instagram A post shared by JB Entertainment (@jbentertainme) Though the two were only briefly spotted in the clip, the reality star boasted a wide smile as she and the musician chatted. So far, neither Brittany nor Gittens have commented on the alleged relationship. Earlier this year, Gittens — who reportedly hails from Trinidad — boasted about winning his first Grammy Award in an Instagram video. So far, Brittany hasn't named the artist as her new boyfriend, but they appear to have a social media connection, as they follow each other and have liked multiple of their posts. During her podcast appearance with Lala, she was reportedly speaking about Gittens. Cartwright admitted to 'having fun' with a new 'crush,' though she emphasized that it was 'nothing serious' at the moment. 'We'll see where it goes,' she said. It was Lala who urged Brittany to share more about her alleged new beau by saying, 'I like the guy who you fell straight on your a** out of the shower [with], and you guys laughed, and he still wanted to be with you after.' Brittany — who jokingly said she 'hate[d]' the host — went on to explain that she and the new man were taking a shower together 'butt naked' when she suddenly slipped as if she had stepped on a 'banana peel.' 'I went straight back, and he thought I was gonna hit my head,' she admitted. 'Oh, it was so embarrassing, but then the way that we laughed about it was so cute.' According to Brittany, Will attempted to grab her as she was falling, but despite his obvious compassion for her, she was still embarrassed that he saw her in a moment of awkwardness. Lala gave her thumbs up, adding, 'I like it. And I like him.' She said Gittens — who went nameless — was 'talented,' which Brittany heartily agreed with. But Lala seemed to sense that it was time to end the conversation before she 'spill[ed] way too much' about her friends new man. On Monday, Brittany appeared on The Nikki & Brie Show with Nikki and Brie Bella/Garcia, where she confirmed that she was dating 'a little bit,' which she gushed was going 'great.' She went on to say that she had been lacking 'attention' and 'affection' in her marriage to Jax 'for, like, a long time,' which led her confidence to crater, via Just Jared. 'Being made to feel beautiful again … really helped my confidence come back,' she declared. However, a source closer to her claimed to Page Six that she is 'not dating anyone,' and they said Will was 'just a friend.' Brittany went on to update her fans on how her divorce from Jax Taylor is proceeding. She said the divorce 'still has not been finalized yet,' though she hoped it would be resolved 'soon.' 'Just, you know, [Jax] waits 'til the last second for everything,' she claimed. She wondered aloud if her ex might be slowing down the proceedings in hopes that she would change her mind about the divorce. 'It's weird how he waited till the very last day to sign, you know, whenever I wanted to even get the process going,' Brittany shared. 'Waited 'til the very last day, messed up on all the paperwork, did all this stuff, and now it just seems like he just keeps doing stuff to prolong it.' One positive update was that her ex allegedly wasn't putting up much of a fight, 'but it's more like he's just not wanting it to be final, if that makes sense,' she said. 'It's weird. I don't know how I'm going to feel when it actually is final,' she said. 'It's 10 years I was with this guy, so I don't know if I'm going to be sad. I feel like I will have a sense of relief, but he is the father of my child, so like what's really going to change? You know? I don't know how it's going to be.' She added that parenting their four-year-old son Cruz was more difficult due to the resentments she had built up over the years against Jax, and her ex didn't make things any easier by allegedly wanting to 'start some weird argument' whenever he came over to spend time with their son. Brittany also revealed why she may have been coy about discussing her new romance. According to her, there's a clause in her and Jax's divorce paperwork dictating how their son can be introduced to either of his parents' new partners. 'We actually have it in our paperwork that unless you're in a serious relationship for at least six months, I would prefer like a year, but at least six months and we talk about it first, then nobody can be around Cruz,' she explained. 'I had to [do it], I had to protect [Cruz].'
