How to defeat Nightmare: Kelpie in Wuthering Waves? (Best strategy, teams & loot)
Image via: Kuro Games The Nightmare: Kelpie in Wuthering Waves is one of the most intense mid-to-late game bosses you'll encounter. Known for its fast-paced, water-based attacks and high stagger resistance, it can be a real challenge if you go in unprepared. But with the right location knowledge, combat tips, and strategy, you'll be farming this aquatic beast in no time. So, here's your crisp guide to locating, fighting, and farming Kelpie like a pro. Where to Find Nightmare: Kelpie Nightmare: Kelpie is located in the Mournfell Canyon region, which becomes accessible after reaching Septimont. The boss arena sits atop a shallow, misty lake that looks intimidating at first but can be walked on safely. The exact spot is northeast of the main Septimont hub, near the eastern ridge of the canyon. To get there quickly: Use the Mournfell Canyon Resonance Beacon to fast-travel. Head east and follow the glowing markers across the water. Stepping into the lake's center will trigger the boss fight. Nightmare Kelpie Wuthering Waves How to Beat Nightmare: Kelpie in Wuthering Waves? Here are some tips to defeat Nightmare: Kelpie in Wuthering Waves: 1. Stay Mobile Kelpie's attacks are designed to punish static play. Expect a mix of: Long-range water waves Sudden dashes and slam attacks Underwater strikes indicated by glowing circle markers Always stay in motion. Use side-dodges and vertical jumps to avoid damage. 2. Master the Parry Window Kelpie's golden-glow attacks are parryable. Land your parry to rapidly deplete its stagger meter, because once stunned, it becomes highly vulnerable. This is your window to go all-in. 3. Watch the Water Kelpie can attack from below. When you see circular water ripples form beneath your feet, dodge immediately. It's a visual cue for an incoming vertical strike. Unlock NIGHTMARE ECHOES in less than 5 MINUTES! w/ Patch Fix! - Wuthering Waves 2.0 Best Teams to Use Kelpie is vulnerable to Electro and Fusion damage. Strong parry characters or high burst DPS are key here. Here are some worthy team setups: Changli / Brant / Resonator – High burst potential during stagger window. Carlotta / Zezhi / Encore – Great synergy and AoE effectiveness. Yinlin / Taoqi / Rover (Aero) – Balanced with strong parry timing options. Prioritize characters with high agility, quick cooldowns, and stun potential. Kelpie Boss Rewards Each clear nets you: Nightmare: Kelpie Echo (Part of Windward Pilgrimage Set) 20 Astrites (First-time clear only) Shell Credits + EXP Materials Echo stats are random, so if you're looking to build Cartethyia, you'll need to farm Kelpie multiple times to get a good roll. Nightmare: Kelpie is a mid-to-late game challenge that rewards preparation, mobility, and timing. If you're building Wind-based characters or looking for a solid 4-Cost Echo, this boss is worth every fight.

Montreal home sales, prices rise in May despite steady rates and economic uncertainty
MONTREAL - Home sales in the Montreal-area rose again in May compared with the same month a year ago, as the city's real estate board says both activity and price growth show no signs of tapering off. The Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers says 4,992 homes in the region changed hands last month, up 10.2 per cent from 4,532 sales in May 2024. Charles Brant, the board's market analysis director, says it marks the third straight month of similar year-over-year sales growth despite mortgage rates remaining in a holding pattern and 'ongoing economic uncertainty.' Brant says there are also 'no signs of a lull in price growth' as around one in seven homes sold above the asking price last month. The median price for all housing types in the Montreal area was up year-over-year, led by an 8.7 per cent increase in price of a single-family home to $625,000. The median price of a plex rose 5.1 per cent to $825,000 and the median price of a condominium increased 4.3 per cent to $427,500. There were 7,596 new listings in the Montreal area last month, up 11.2 per cent from a year earlier, as active listings rose 2.4 per cent to 18,920. This report by The Canadian Press was first published June 9, 2025.
