‘Rupani's death an immeasurable loss'
Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak expressed his condolences at the death of former Gujarat CM in the . He said that Rupani's death was an immeasurable loss. "His contribution to Indian politics and in the sphere of public service will always be remembered. I was in Parliament with him when he was a Rajya Sabha MP. He was a soft spoken, simple person, always ready to help anyone in need. His contribution to society will always be remembered," Pathak said.

Full arrangements to handle COVID situation, says U.P. government
Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday (June 11, 2025) said that full arrangements had been made to handle the COVID cases in the state. Speaking to the media U.P. Deputy CM and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak added all necessary preparations had been made for oxygen plants and activating hospitals across the state. 'There is no need to panic. Analysts have observed it is limited to cold and fever. Only serious patients and the elderly need to be cautious. Our government made full arrangements to tackle the situation. Major reviews to check preparedness are being conducted at every level. we have ensured all necessary preparations in oxygen plants and hospitals,' said Mr. Pathak, in Lucknow, speaking to the media. Last month, U.P. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conducted review of the health department issuing directions to step up preparedness in case of any spike in cases. Earlier on May 28, the state government issued an order to keep more than 2,000 employees who worked during the previous COVID time in permanent service with government hospitals directed to accommodate them on priority basis. Necessary preparations made for oxygen plants and hospitals in state : Uttar Pradesh Dy CM Brajesh Pathak on steps taken to combat Covid-19
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Wednesday stated that full arrangements had been made to handle the COVID-19 cases in the state. He further stated that reviews had been conducted and that all necessary preparations had been made for oxygen plants and hospitals in the state. "There is no need to panic. Experts have said that, for now, it is limited to cold and fever. Only serious patients and the elderly need to be cautious. The government has made full arrangements. Reviews are being conducted at every level, and in addition, we have ensured all necessary preparations in oxygen plants and hospitals," Pathak told ANI. Earlier on May 28, the UP government issued an order to keep more than 2800 employees who worked during the previous COVID time in permanent service. Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak informed that more than 2200 people have been accommodated, and an order was issued to the government hospitals to accommodate them on priority. "The government has issued an order to keep more than 2800 employees who worked during the time of COVID permanently in service. More than 2200 people have already been accommodated. For the remaining, a government order was issued yesterday to accommodate them on priority in all our hospitals", Brajesh Pathak told ANI. This comes after a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases has been recorded in the country. As of June 10, India reported 6,815 active COVID-19 cases. According to data from the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), 163 cases of the new COVID-19 variant XFG have recently been detected across the country. Earlier, Balram Bhargava, former Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and former Secretary of the Department of Health Research, said that the emergence of the XFG variant is part of the SARS-CoV-2 virus's natural evolution. He added that India is well-positioned to detect and contain emerging variants swiftly due to the widespread deployment of rapid molecular diagnostic platforms such as Truenat.

Commoners to politicians, all join in to celebrate last Bada Mangal
Faith was served hot on the city streets as everybody from commoners to politicians soaked in the Bada Mangal festivities on Tuesday. While some distributed food, water and juices, others organised unique bhandaras. BJP city president Anand Dwivedi participated in various bhandaras, including one organised by excise minister Nitin Aggrawal at his residence in Gautampalli where state general secretary BJP Anoop Gupta, state president BJP Bhupendra Singh, deputy chief ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present. Dwivedi also participated in bhandaras organised by former MLC Arvind Tripathi Guddu, Vinayak Pandey, Gautam Kumar, Ravi Shankar Chaurasia, Shishir Bajpai, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Anita Tiwari, Madan Kumar, Kulbir Chaudhary, Danish Sonkar, Rajiv Mishra and Alambagh Vyapar Mandal and distributed prasad. Senior BJP leader Neeraj Singh also participated in the feasts and cultural programmes organised by social organisations, traders and workers. At a bhandara organised by Shiv Sharan Singh at UP Press Club, he was present with deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak. Samajwadi Party's state general secretary and business leader Rambabu Rastogi organised a grand bhandara next to Thakurganj Kalyangiri temple in which former cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav distributed prasad after performing the puja. During the puja, Jagdeep Chaudhary, Rajesh Yadav, Rajbala Rawat, Anil Verma, Neeraj Srivastava, Satendra Rajput, Narendra Singh, Mayank Singh, Vijay Verma, Sanjay Dwivedi, Ashwini Mishra, Umesh Bajpai, Ajay Verma, Mudit Mishra, Salim Hussain were present. Some socio-cultural organisation held bhandaras with a cause on the occasion. At a bhandara organised by a group of individuals from Madad Karona foundation, towels and water was distributed to rickshaw pullers and labourers. Abdul Saboor, founder of the foundation said that while there is an abundance of food for people on Bada Mangal, we distributed towels and water for those who work hard under scorching summer heat. 'The towels will help those doing tedious work by preventing them from getting heat strokes for the entire summer season,' said Saboor. A bhandara with tree saplings was organised outside UP Sangeet Natak Akademi by Repertwahr Foundation to promote green cover and importance of plantation.
