Funeral arrangements announced for Lord Henry Mount Charles
Funeral arrangements have been announced for Lord Henry Mount Charles, the eighth Marquess Conyngham, of Slane Castle, who died on Tuesday aged 74 after a long illness. Lord Henry will repose at Slane Castle on Tuesday, 24 June and those wishing to pay their respects are invited to do so between 3pm–7pm. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, 25 June at 12 noon in St. Patrick's Church of Ireland, Slane. Due to very limited space inside the Church, seating will be "reserved and allocated for family, with provision made for those outside". The family said they "would like to welcome those attending to sympathise after the service in Slane Castle". Earlier today the family of Lord Henry opened the gates of Slane Castle inviting members of the public to pay their respects and sign a Book of Condolence in honour of the late music promoter and custodian of one of Ireland's most iconic venues. Lord Henry was widely credited with transforming Slane into a globally recognised live music destination. His son, Alex, the Marquess Conyngham, said in a statement that the family had been "profoundly moved" by the public response to his passing. "We have been truly touched by the strength of public sentiment and are deeply grateful for the countless expressions of sympathy and shared memories," he said. "Dad's warmth, spirit and dedication to Slane, its people and its legacy forged friendships that extended incredibly far and wide." The Book of Condolence will be available to sign on the grounds of Slane Castle today and on Sunday between 10am and 6pm. "This will be an opportunity for all those who knew Henry, enjoyed the magic of Slane, or simply wish to express their sympathies to come together in his memory at the place he loved so deeply," the family said in a statement. They also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and requested privacy as they grieve.

Meet Pakistan's richest Hindu, his name is also in the Guinness Book of World Records for..., his name is..., net worth is...
Meet Pakistan's richest Hindu, his name is also in the Guinness Book of World Records for..., his name is..., net worth is... Hindus form the largest religious minority in Pakistan, making up approximately 2.17 per cent of the total population, with the majority residing in Sindh. Among them, Deepak Perwani has risen to prominence as both an acclaimed fashion designer and a successful businessman. Deepak was born in 1973 in Mirpur Khas, a city in the Sindh province of Pakistan. He belongs to the Hindu Sindhi community. Deepak started his career in fashion and slowly made a big name for himself. His flashy fashion life started in 1996 when he set up his own couture house, 'DP (Deepak Perwani),' which specialized in bridal and formal wear. Over the years, he has been awarded many, both locally and globally, with, for example, being named the sixth-best fashion designer in the world in 2014 at the Bulgarian Fashion Awards. Additionally, he has won multiple Lux Style Awards, BFA Awards, and the Indus Style Guru Award. In fact, he is one of the most famous designers in Pakistan. Apart from fashion, Deepak has also acted in a few Pakistani dramas and films like Yeh Zindagi Hai, Meri Jaan, Very Filmy, and Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Perwani has also served as Pakistan's cultural ambassador to China and Malaysia. In 2022, a report said that his total wealth was about Rs. 71 crore. That makes him the richest Hindu in Pakistan. Deepak also made a world record. He created the world's biggest kurta (a traditional long shirt). For this, his name was added to the Guinness Book of World Records. Earlier this year, in an interview with Aamna Haider on her show Something Haute , Mr Perwani shared his candid views on the contrasting realities of life in Pakistan and India. He highlighted stark differences between the two countries, particularly in terms of freedom, happiness and infrastructure. He also pointed out how cities in India felt more pedestrian-friendly compared to Pakistan. Perwani's views have divided Pakistani social media users. While some accused him of being unpatriotic, others viewed his statements as a sobering reflection of reality. Today, Deepak Perwani is seen as a symbol of success for minorities in Pakistan. His cousin, Naveen Perwani, a world-famous snooker player with international fame, is also among the richest people, with an estimated net worth of around Rs 60 crore.

There is one epic highway that connects 14 countries without a single U-turn, offering a journey like no other. When it comes to the longest road in the world, the numbers are staggering. Even if you travel 500 kilometres a day, it would still take more than two months to complete the journey. Stretching across 14 countries without a single U-turn, the Pan-American Highway is the longest continuous motorable road in the world. It starts from Prudhoe Bay in Alaska and runs all the way to Ushuaia in Argentina, covering approximately 30,000 km, depending on the chosen route. Which Countries It Passes Through The Pan-American Highway travels through several North American nations, including the US, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. It then continues through South America, passing through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. This route exposes travellers to diverse terrains, from snow-covered peaks and tropical jungles to arid deserts and bustling cities. It's not just the longest but also one of the most scenic and culturally rich highways in the world. How Long Does It Take? According to reports, most people take around 60 days to complete the entire route, but this depends on travel speed and stopovers. For instance, Carlos Santamaría, who completed the journey, took 117 days. The majority of the highway runs through Spanish-speaking countries, so it's helpful for travellers to know some basic Spanish to communicate smoothly along the way. A Journey That Began a Century Ago Construction of the Pan-American Highway began in the early 1920s with the goal of boosting tourism in the United States. In 1937, 14 countries signed an agreement to build and maintain this monumental road. By 1960, it was officially open for public transport. Today, it stands not just as a record-breaking highway in the Guinness Book of World Records but also as a dream road trip for adventure seekers across the globe.
