Days of Our Lives Recap: Bo and Hope Celebrate Their Love originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Horton House – Present Day: Hope serves Bo breakfast in bed. He asks about why things changed in the house, and she tells him about the fire. Julie new their grandparents would have wanted it that way. Horton House – Early Days: Alice and Tom are discussing a washing machine having gone on the fritz. He says he has good news and tells her about running into Addie at the hospital because she's pregnant (Julie!). Horton House – Present Day: Hope wishes her father were still alive so he could see them together. Bo is certain he can see them ad Hope agrees. She asks her beloved if he is ready to become a full-time grandpa. He says he is and they engage in a kiss. Bo and Hope come downstairs and he is amazed there was ever a fire. She says not everything was replaced such as the scrap book she made her grandparents for their anniversary and the letter she wrote him on the day of their wedding. Flashback: Hope giving her grandparents the scrap book. Flashback: Hope reciting the letter to Bo. Horton House – Present Day: Hope tells Bo about the time capsule they found after the fire. She says Ciara Alice was the one to open it. Hope was amazed by all the treasures and how it made everyone feels so much closer to her grandparents. Bo thinks you can almost see Doc and Mrs H standing there, watching over them. Bo is amazed he is a part of this amazing family with his sketchy history and working-class family. Hope stops him and says he was and always will be a rebel. Bo notes getting his ornament on the Horton tree and is relieved to learn they survived the fire. Flashback: Bo and Hope kissing after putting his ornament on the tree. Horton House – Present Day: Hope recalls when they added another ornament to the tree when Shawn Douglas was born. She looks back at pictures of her grandparents when she remembers telling her gran she was pregnant. Flashback: Hope tells Alice she's pregnant. Flashback: Alice gives them the ornament for their new child. Horton House – Early Days: Tom and Alice have returned from him reading the Christmas Story at University Hospital. They look at their perfect tree and the family ornaments decorating the branches. Alice can't believe they are grandparents and quotes her own grandmother by saying their grandchildren are their pots of gold. Horton House – Present Day: Hope thinks back to when Julie started dating her father and how jealous she was. Alice helped her see the goodness in her half-sister and how good she was with her father. Bo sees a lot of Mrs H in Hope, and she wonders if she will help her grandchildren get out of tight spots the same way her grandmother helped them. Bo full-heartedly believes she will. Flashback: Alice, Hope and Bo on one of their many adventures. Horton House – Present Day: Hope notes how quiet the house is and Bo says he cleared folks out so they could be alone. He sends her off to put on something special (which he bought for her) as he has a celebration planned. Horton House – Early Days: Alice trips over one of Steven's toys. Tom is right by her side and says he had Bill and Marie take the grandchildren to the movies. They will be gone for about two hours which will give them time to turn the lights down and get romantic. With that, they kiss. Horton House – Present Day: Hope descends the stairs in a beautiful gown to find her beloved all suited up. She looks around and sees the living room has been set up for the occasion of their reunion. She is so grateful to have Bo back. He says he will never leave her side again. Bo wants to make Hope his wife again and she is in full agreement. With that, he takes a knee and asks his Fancy Face to marry him all over again and she says yes. Flashback: Hope and Bo are alone and speaking wedding vows from the heart. Bo puts the ring on Hope's finger. She says it's just like their love, a perfect circle that's never ending. Horton House – Present Day: Bo declares his love for his Fancy Face and takes her to be his wife now and forever. Hope declares her love for Bo today, tomorrow and always. Bo presents a ring box to Hope where she finds her mother's wedding ring. He places it on her finger, and she pronounces them married. With that, they kiss and embrace. Bo says he has one more surprise and pulls out a picture of the Fancy Face. Hope notes it belongs to Shawn Douglas. Bo says their son doesn't have much use for it at this moment and it is once again their ticket to sail away. Flashback: Bo and Hope the Fancy Face where they declare their love for one another. Horton House – Present Day: Hope can't believe Bo wants them to leave Salem so soon. He thinks living life as an adventure has always been their best look. Bo continues saying they need to live each moment as if it's their last. Hope gets on board thinking about all the folks around the world they can see. She is on board as long as they can return to Salem quite often. Bo agrees and the decision is made. Horton House – Early Days: Alice remarks to Tom how quiet the house is. She is surprised to note how she misses the chaos. Alice wonders if they should sell the house and move someplace smaller. Tom wants nothing of the sort, and they agree to stay put. They agree 545 Sycamore Lane will be the Horton House forever and generations to come. With that, they kiss. Horton House - Present Day: Bo thinks they should follow in Doug and Julie's footsteps by retiring at the Horton House. Horton Square: Bo and Hope sit next to Tom and Alice's plaque. They think about how hard it always is to say goodbye. Flashback: Bo and Hope's adventures in and out of Salem throughout the years (such great flashbacks). Days of Our Lives Recap: Hope and John Work Together to Give Bo a Chance at Survival
On today's Days of Our Lives recap: University Hospital – Kayla's Office: Marlena arrives and Kayla asks why she isn't home with John. Marlena says he isn't back yet. Marlena says John made a pit stop to help gain the drug to help save Bo. Kayla explains the entire situation and why they are simply trying to get a singular dose. She apologizes for the delay in John's return, but Marlena understands as she and John have the rest of their lives together. They both understand how their respective husbands have considered Bo a brother to them both. Flashback: Bo telling his sister she can depend on him for anything. In real-time, Kayla notes how many times Bo, John and Steve have stepped up to save their lives and provide the foundation for their families. Kayla thinks they are both so lucky to have them return and worries Bo won't be able to do so this time. Kayla encourages Marlena to head home to get some sleep but she's not willing to leave. She says she was so excited to see her husband come home. Kayla is certain John will get his mission accomplished and come home to the woman he loves. Hospital (unclear on location): Hope is at Bo's bedside, strokes his face, kisses him on the lips and wishes him a happy anniversary. Flashback to one of Bo and Hope's weddings and their amazing vows… In real-time, she says it seems like yesterday they had their adventures and wishes they could do it all over again. Just then, Ciara Alice enters and embraces her mother. Hope says Shawn Douglas will be their soon but makes no mention of Chelsea. They both admit how scared they are. Hope says the priest gave Bo his last right as but she thinks he's hanging on to give his family a chance to return. Ciara says Ben is at the hotel with the kids. Hope asks Ciara to sit with her father for a while so she can go elsewhere. Ciara begins to cry as she sits next to her father and says how strange it feels to see him in such a sedentary state. She would give anything to fix her father so they could get on their motorcycles or their boats and take on new adventures. She explains how Ben is a great father to Bo and Addie and how he makes her feel safe and loved. Flashback to Bo telling his daughter to hold on to her necklace and remember how much her parents love her (C'mon, Lauren Boles!!!). Ciara says they will be together no matter what. Afterwards, we see Bo walking in Horton Square, and he sees Tom and Alice's plaque. He has no idea with the hell he is doing there. Back at the hospital, Ciara Alice talks with Bo about all of his children. She says she didn't always do a great job of living up to her middle name. Ciara wishes she had realized sooner how blessed she was to be his daughter and to be a Brady. In Bo's mind, Bo wanders around and looks through the window of the pub. He sees Kayla and Steve eating and enters. Bo hears Steve and Kayla talking about him and then realizes they can't hear or see him. Suddenly, he is back outside and locked out of the restaurant. In real-time, Bo's monitors begin to go haywire and Ciara calls for help. She goes to his side and breaks down, begging her father to stay with them. The doctor stabilizes Bo and Ciara wonders where her mother could be. Random Alley: John arrives, and Steve introduces him to Dr Russell as their savior (the 'that's a fact' of it all killed me). Steve explains John is an expert as this kind of thing and insisted on showing up to help them. They discuss how they need to be ready for whatever comes next. Steve says the security system has a two-part security system, John can cover one part… and Hope enters saying she can cover the other. Hope cuts the wires which unlocks the doors. She tells Dr Russell to come with her and help locate the drug. Shawn Douglas is worried he will never get to say goodbye to his father. Steve knows he blames himself for his father's condition. That being said, he is counting on Bo to hold on and pull through. Warehouse: Hope, John, and Dr Russell enter and a person on the floor (Asher?) begins to rouse from an unconscious state. Dr Russell spots the Sepsis drug just as Asher jumps up and attacks Dr Russell. Hope grabs the drug as Asher wrestles with the good doctor and the room begins to fill with smoke. Asher, who seems to be high, pulls a knife and says he's going to kill them. John swings into action as flames begin to rise. Hope gets Dr Russell out and tries to go back in but the fire has engulfed the doorway. The fire fighters have now arrived and Steve and Hope are trying desperately to get to John but are not allowed. They tell the group of four they have found a body. The medics bring John out on a gurney and he is still alive. Dr Russell wants to take a look but is told to stand down. The medic indicates John is badly burned as the suit didn't protect him. Hope and Steve tell John he's going to pull through like he always does. Shawn Douglas looks down at John's open hand and realizes he secured one vile of the sepsis drug. He gives it to Hope and tells her to go save Bo. Horton House: Julie calls Hope and leaves her a message to wish her a happy anniversary. Later, Julie is pacing the floor looking at a picture of Bo and Hope. She flashes back to an earlier, happier time. She pulls down a picture of Doug and asks him to help Bo in anyway he can. University Hospital – Kayla's Office: Kayla takes a call from Shawn Douglas and tells Marlena there's been an explosion. She says John has been badly hurt. University Hospital – Bo's Room: Shawn Douglas and Hope arrive to tell Ciara they secured the drug for Bo. They think it's the miracle they've been waiting for. Hope sits by Bo's side and tells him to fight. University Hospital – Lobby: Steve tells Dr Russell the man who attacked him is dead. He says John not only saved Dr Russell's life but also his life's work. Steve hands him vibes of the drug saying John protected them with his body. He tells the good doctor to continue his work because John put his life on the line to save his important drug. With that, Steve takes a seat and breaks down. University Hospital – John's Room: Marlena and Kayla are at John's bedside. Kayla says John inhaled a lot of smoke and has 3rd degree burns over 30% of his body. Marlena is in tears and says she called the kids who are on their way. She says she won't be leaving his side. Endings Julie takes a seat and wishes Doug a happy anniversary. She says she thinks of him every day and cherishes their love. She kisses the picture and pulls it close to her chest. Hope, Ciara and Shawn Douglas recite the Lord's prayer as the doctor administer the sepsis drug. Marlena knows John is exhausted but begs him not to leave her now. Steve enters and stands by Marlena's side. He says Stefano may have called himself the phoenix but had nothing on John Black. We now flashback to John's origin story, many of his identities and life-threatening adventures. With each heartbeat, we see a different flashback scene. In real-time, John whispers, 'I love you, Doc' to Marlena. As soon as he elicits the sentiment, the heart monitor flatlines. Kayla returns and says he's coding. Peter Reckell Wants to Come Back to Days of our Lives
Let's face it, Bo being in danger of dying from sepsis off-screen on Days of our Lives is not fooling anyone. Fans aren't worried that he's going to die because they know Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso are bringing Bo and Hope back to Salem soon. It's the journey of how the characters are going to save his life and bring him home that's important. Reckell has some forward-thinking on the matter, which he shared on social media. On X, formerly Twitter, Reckell retweeted a recent post that stated, 'On this day, what seems like a lifetime ago, I realized I was the luckiest man on Earth! What a gift, what a ride, it was amazing!' In his retweet, he commented, 'Several of you responded by asking me to come back to DOOL. I would love to go back, the show just has to find room for me. Thanks so much for your continued support, it means a lot after all these years!!!' This is certainly good news for DAYS fans. Reckell had already stated in March that he would like to be a regular once again, so it's not a huge surprise. But reiterating it on X shows that he's starting to lobby to be brought back on board. One fan had the simple, but assertive response, 'Amen.' READ THIS: Take a look at what's coming up on DAYS. An ardent follower responded to Reckell's message with words of encouragement, stating that the fans, 'All want you back permanently, not just small stints like the one coming up. I'm sure if we are all united & vocal they will listen & get u back where you belong.' The fans were all in agreement, as evidenced by the comment, 'Absolutely!!! 💯 ❤️.' Another viewer reacted, 'You can come back and work with your son in the police station.' Bo's son is Shawn (Brandon Beemer), who's still beating himself up for shooting his old man, putting him in his current life-threatening state. But it would certainly be nice to see Bo (and Hope) return on a regular basis. (Find out if Shawn will break the law to save his Dad.)
