Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Her Younger Self In Throwback Interview: 'I Would Be A Fan'
Kangana Ranaut took a walk down memory lane as she stumbled upon an old interview of hers with veteran host Simi Garewal — and had what she called a full 'fangirl" moment for her younger self. The actress-turned-politician shared the clip, originally posted by a fan account, on her Instagram Stories with an admiring note. In the video, Simi asks Kangana, 'Suppose all these go away, what happens then?" Kangana responds confidently, 'How can it go away? If you are talking about time, times will change, and things will change. But what is in me and what I've lived, how can anybody take that away from me?" When Simi points out, 'Bollywood is not a secure place even for the topmost," Kangana replies, 'I myself don't want to be in Bollywood all my life. That would be ridiculous." Pressed on what she would want instead, Kangana adds, 'For me, if I get stuck in time, the worst thing that can happen to me in life is I get stuck in time. I want to grow as a person, as an individual. Today, I'm acting in movies, tomorrow I would want to do something else." The fan-edited video also included a caption that read, 'Kangana had already said that she will do something else and she did it. I think people should now accept that she is no longer just an actress or a filmmaker but also a politician." Reposting the clip on her Instagram Stories, Kangana wrote, 'Honestly, if I find a young woman as cool as this, I would be a fan." On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Emergency, a film she directed and co-produced. Following the film's underwhelming response at the box office, Kangana admitted that choosing a theatrical release over OTT and directing the film herself were strategic missteps. She will be next seen in an international horror‑drama, Blessed Be the Evil, directed by Anurag Rudra, co-starring Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone. Alongside this, she has wrapped the shoot of a pan‑India psychological thriller, directed by A L Vijay, alongside R Madhavan.
