Edinburgh set for 'exceptional' immersive experiences featuring Monet and Van Gogh

More info Edinburgh art lovers are set to enjoy two 'incredible' immersive experiences coming to the city later this year. Beyond Monet and Beyond Van Gogh are coming to the capital, from November 29. Hosting the Scottish premiere of the experience, the event will run until January 4. The 'spectaculars' will be staged at the Royal Highland Centre, with tickets going on sale on June 18. Both displays feature an immersive room that is 10,000 square ft in size. Beyond Monet features more than 400 of his legendary works, and takes visitors on an 'unforgettable journey'. In Beyond Van Gogh, you'll see more than 300 of the icon's paintings 'blended with cutting-edge technology'. Both are accompanies by a specially curated musical soundtrack, as the painting come alive. It was part of a hugely popular touring experience. The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is celebrating its 40th anniversary by marking a record-breaking year. The popular Glasgow venue has seen unparalleled growth in visitor numbers, revenue, and event diversity. In the 2024–2025 financial year, the SEC hosted 50 exhibitions, with 14 new events added to its most diverse portfolio of events to date. Highlights of the year included 'Beyond Van Gogh', the SEC's longest-running event at 47 days, which captivated 50,000 art lovers with its immersive experience. The UK's largest renewable and low-carbon energy exhibition and conference All-Energy reached a new milestone, achieving its biggest edition to date. The SEC also hosted events of cultural significance, such as the Titanic Exhibition, which highlighted Glasgow's historic connection to the ship, and the Halal Food Festival, which engaged both the local Muslim community and foodies from across the city. Dan Thurlow, director of exhibitions at the SEC, said: "This has been an extraordinary year for events at the SEC.
