Mum-of-two warns Brit tourists after Benidorm hotel room raided by teen thugs as her kids watched on in horror

A MUM-of-two has issued a warning to tourists after her hotel room was raided by thugs. Brit Becca Farley, 27, warned tourists to "keep your wits about you" after suffering a horror ordeal while holidaying at a Spanish tourist hotspot. 4 4 Becca was staying at Magical Tropical Splash in Benidorm with her partner, six-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter when her room was raided by thugs. The mother caught the strangers entering her room on the last night of the family's £2,500 week-long holiday. With signs put up around the hotel warning of a power cut Becca headed to her room alone to charge the family's phones. She was left terrified when she discovered two thugs heading to her hotel room in a bid to rob her family. Speaking about the horror incident Becca said: "As I got in the lift these two teenagers got in the lift with me and just pressed my floor level. "I honestly didn't think anything of it because there's five rooms per floor so I just assumed they were going to one of them." The two robbers then exited the lift on Becca's floor and headed straight for her room. She said: "I thought 'oh sh*t I have obviously got off on the wrong floor, what a palaver I'm going to have to wait for the lift again.' But it was the right floor. "It happened all quite quickly and they just strolled straight into my room. "I then followed in after them, which in hindsight, I shouldn't have because you hear horror stories and I think it could have gone sour. Shocking moment creepy hotel worker sneaks into Brit mum's room and steals her knickers on Benidorm holiday "But I just didn't really think and went straight into the room and shouted 'what are you doing in my room?'" Becca says one of the intruders then started screaming at her in Spanish. She responded by yelling: "Get the f*ck out, get the f*ck out, get the f*ck out." until the two thugs ran off. The terrifying incident was not over though with the would be thieves returning minutes later and banging on the door. Becca said she stayed in her room with the door locked as the two teens continued to bang on it, she added: "I was absolutely petrified. "I know it sounds silly and people have said you should have done this, you should have locked them in the room, you should have decked them but at that moment I think it was just that invasion of privacy. "This is supposed to be your safe place when you are away, you're away from home, we don't travel all that often so we were really shaken. "Then that night I did not sleep because I was flinching at every noise. "If it had happened earlier on in the week we would have flown home." 4 Becca went on to report the incident to hotel security after discovering another family had experienced a similar break in losing passports, watches and other valuables to the thieves. After the harrowing ordeal Becca is warning other tourists who plan to visit Spain. She said: "I would advise just to be alert. "A lot of people have said we were scaremongering people not to go away, not at all. "We will certainly go on holiday again, it's not a case of us never going abroad again but I think it's just having that awareness that if you are a lone woman, please be careful. "I'm very lucky that I'm OK but I think it's just a case of having your wits about you a bit more. "When you go on holiday you tend to relax and become a little bit naive to these situations." She also recommended tourists travel with padlocks so they can secure their valuables inside suitcases. She added: "Obviously keep your valuables safe. "I know some people say don't use the safes, we personally lock all of ours and padlock them in our suitcases. "I think it's just a case of having your wits about you and knowing not to get comfortable in somewhere you've never been before." Although she plans to continue travelling, Becca said she'll now take extra precautions. "I'm considering getting a webcam that you can put in your room next time we go away. I will carry on locking my stuff away. I would never take the kids away on my own. "I certainly wouldn't have cleaners in my room ever again, not to say it definitely was them but they have access to your room. "I don't know if I would feel comfortable going up to a room on my own again." Everything you need to know about visiting Spain Brits must have at least three months left on their passport from the day they plan to leave the country. Tourists do not need a visa if visiting for up to 90 days in an 180-day period. Make sure your passport is stamped on entry and exit. Travellers may be asked to show hotel booking confirmations and that they have enough money for their stay at the border. Spain is one hour ahead of the UK. The country uses the euro with around €10 working out to £8.55. Flights to Spain from the UK take between 2-4 hours depending on the destination.

Mother-of-two claims her £2,500 Benidorm holiday hotel room was raided by teenage thugs

A mother-of-two has revealed details of the horrific moment teenage thugs raided the expensive Benidorm hotel room she was holidaying in with her young family. Becca Farley, 27, was staying in the Spanish tourist hotspot with her partner, six-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter when she caught strangers in her room. The family, from Eastleigh, Hampshire, had paid £2,500 for their week-long stay. On the last night, with signs around the hotel warning of a power cut, Ms Farley headed to the room to charge their phones before their flight home. Two teenagers then entered the lift with her and pressed the button for the same floor her room was on. 'I honestly didn't think anything of it because there's five rooms per floor so I just assumed they were going to one of them,' she said. However, when the lift doors opened the thugs walked out in front of her and straight into her room, which had the door wedged open by a shoe. Ms Farley said: 'I thought oh s**t I have obviously got off on the wrong floor, what a palaver I'm going to have to wait for the lift again. But it was the right floor. It happened all quite quickly and they just strolled straight in.' She bravely followed the boys into the room, which she said in hindsight she shouldn't have done due to 'horror stories' of others doing the same and it then turning sour. 'But I just didn't really think and went straight into the room and shouted "what are you doing in my room?",' she added. When one of the intruders shouted at her in Spanish, Ms Farley repeatedly screamed: 'Get the f**k out' until they ran off. But, the brazen pair returned minutes later and started banging on the door while she stayed locked inside in an 'absolutely petrified' state. She said: 'I know it sounds silly and people have said you should have done this, you should have locked them in the room, you should have decked them but at that moment I think it was just that invasion of privacy. 'This is supposed to be your safe place when you are away, you're away from home, we don't travel all that often so we were really shaken.' Ms Farley said she was unable to get any sleep that night because she was 'flinching at every noise'. She added that if the raid had happened earlier on in the week, she and her partner would have cut their stay short and flown home. The terrified mother reported the incident to hotel security, when she discovered another family had experienced a similar break-in and had passports, watches and other valuables stolen. Now, she's warning other tourists planning on visiting Spain: 'I would advise just to be alert. 'A lot of people have said we were scaremongering people not to go away, not at all. 'We will certainly go on holiday again, but I think it's just having that awareness that if you are a lone woman, please be careful. 'I'm very lucky that I'm OK but I think it's just a case of having your wits about you a bit more. 'When you go on holiday you tend to relax and become a little bit naive to these situations.' She also recommends locking valuables in suitcases with padlocks. 'Obviously keep your valuables safe. I know some people say don't use the safes, we personally lock all of ours and padlock them in our suitcases. Shock moment Brit is knocked out cold by sucker-punch in Benidorm after getting into argument with bouncers

THIS is the terrifying moment a Brit is sucker-punched after getting into a row with Benidorm bouncers. Footage from Sunday night shows the lad being knocked to the ground as fellow holidaymakers rush to his aid. 6 6 6 The Brit, dressed in a white t-shirt and trousers, appears caught up in a heated exchange as a friend steps in to try and quell the argument. As tensions escalate, the man is seen being brutally punched in the face and falling to the ground, contorting one of his legs. The shocking clip then shows a woman in a pink cowboy hat rushing to the man's aid as a group of lads row with the security guards. According to one onlooker, the scuffle escalated when one man - who appeared to be a local - asked the other to leave the bar. They told the Mail Online: "It's always the d***head Brits - it makes you ashamed to be a Brit sometimes. "We'd been in there for two hours or so - it seemed a nice bar and all of a sudden we heard a bit of a commotion. "He was out cold, and his leg looked dislocated." The Brit's current condition remains unclear. This isn't the first time Spain has seen a bust up between revellers. Earlier this month, footage was released of two unruly Brits who started fighting each other in Tenerife while getting cheered on by immature yobs. Shock moment cheering Brits watch vicious street brawl in hols hotspot Tenerife One of the women is seen lunging at another tourist before brazenly tackling her face-first onto the ground. The violent footage filmed in Playa de Las Américas sparked fury among locals on the popular holiday island. Elsewhere, a lad's holiday to Benidorm ended in horror when a dad broke his neck after being shoved into a swimming pool"as a joke". Martin Bullen, 31, was at a Benidorm pool party on June 10 when he claims somebody who he "didn't know" playfully pushed him into the water. 6 6 The single dad-of-two said he had no idea how shallow the water was so when he was pushed, he tried to dive in but split his head open on the bottom of the pool. Luckily one of the worried partygoers that stepped in to get Martin out of the pool was an army medic so knew to keep him still until an ambulance arrived. Martin, who works as a sales advisor, was then taken to a nearby hospital where docs gave him 16 stitches in his head and found that he had fractured his neck in three places and broken his back. He explained that the trip to Benidorm with his cousins was intended to have a break from being a busy single dad. The fight also comes just a month after two Brits were caught brawling in Tenerife. The footage has highlighted growing concerns over tourist behaviour in Spain. At the start of the astonishing footage, one of the women dressed in white is seen lunging at another tourist. Lad's holiday to Benidorm ends in horror after single dad-of-two, 31, breaks neck when stranger shoves him into pool

A LAD's holiday to Benidorm ended in horror when a dad broke his neck after being shoved into a swimming pool "as a joke". Martin Bullen, 31, was at a Benidorm pool party on June 10 when he claims somebody who he "didn't know" playfully pushed him into the water. 6 6 6 The single dad-of-two said he had no idea how shallow the water was so when he was pushed, he tried to dive in but split his head open on the bottom of the pool. Prior to the holiday, Martin had gone to book travel insurance but got distracted before paying and forgot to purchase it - a mistake he dubbed 'stupid'. Martin said the hospital stay and extra flights cost £1,500 and he is now urging holidaymakers travelling this summer not to make the same "daft mistake" as him. Martin, from Wigan, Greater Manchester, said: "I was having a drink but I had my wits about me and stuff. Somebody pushed me into the pool and I didn't know it was a shallow pool. "I'm thinking I'll just dive in and dive back up and my head hit the floor straight away and it split open my head. "It was quite scary. I'll be honest, there was at one point I thought I was going to die on my own [in hospital] because I didn't know what was going on or who to talk to. "It was a moment of madness [not to take out insurance]. I was looking at getting it, I put it in the WhatsApp group for my cousins to get it and as I went to do mine something came up with the kids. "Then it just slipped my mind and then I forgot all about it and didn't get it done. It was a daft mistake. I knew I needed to get it. "Failure to prepare is preparing to fail, that's the best thing I could say." Thankfully Martin was able to fly home on 16 June and said doctors at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan have found five fractures in his neck and back. He said he still needs to wear a neck brace and can only walk or stand for about five minutes before he needs to sit down. Martin is awaiting further scans to find out the extent of the damage and what his recovery will be like. His dad, Scott Bullen, 63, flew out to be with him in hospital and was luckily able to help him with hospital costs but now Martin is raising money to be able to pay his dad back. Martin said: "I can see how it could be portrayed dead easily as a boozy Brit in Benidorm who has done this but to be honest with you I wasn't drunk. "It was a freak accident because I didn't know the pool was shallow. I'm a full-time dad and I try and work my hardest and try and bring them up the best I can do. "I'm not one of those idiots, I have a lot of responsibilities and I take pride in them." He continued: "I'm either a dad or I'm at work. I'm never Martin and that's what this time away was for me. "When I was in the hospital on my own I just needed my dad. Then when my dad came it was all about, I needed to land back home. "When the plane landed he [Martin's dad] was looking at me and I burst out in tears. "I've got two boys full time on my own, luckily my dad helped me with upfront costs, which I've got to pay back because he's retired. "I know it's going to be a long road to recovery but I've got through the hard part, which was getting home and being around people who can support me." EXCLUSIVE Moment Brit is knocked unconscious after getting sucker-punched by Benidorm local while arguing with bouncers

This is the moment a British tourist was violently sucker-punched by a Spanish local after getting caught up in a brawl with Benidorm bouncers. Footage taken by a fellow bar-goer shows the unnamed Brit being slammed onto the floor by another man in the Spanish resort on Sunday night. According to an eyewitness, the man and his group were asked to leave the unknown bar by another reveller before a bouncer intervened and things got 'heated.' The Brit, who is dressed in white, can be seen being shoved by a group of men, while his friend steps in. As the exchange escalates, video shows the man being brutally punched in the face and falling on the floor, as his leg bends backwards towards his hip. A woman wearing a pink cowboy hat rushes to his aid and crouches over him, as a group of men continue to scuffle with the bouncers. An onlooker said: 'It's always the d***head Brits - it makes you ashamed to be a Brit sometimes. 'We'd been in there for two hours or so - it seemed a nice bar and all of a sudden we heard a bit of a commotion. 'There was a smaller guy who we think was a local and he looked like a bouncer but looked a bit too small to be one. 'He was asking them to leave, and then the larger bouncer came over and things got a bit heated. 'It looks like the smaller guy then knocks him out. 'He was out cold, and his leg looked dislocated.' The condition of the Brit who was floored in the Benidorm bar fight is not known. The bust-up comes just months after a British holidaymaker was left fighting for his life in intensive care after being punched by a bouncer in Benidorm. Andrew Frazer, 43, was on a lads' break in Spain in November when he was floored by the doorman with a single punch in an alleged unprovoked attack. His condition deteriorated after initial treatment and he had to undergo urgent surgery to have part of his skull cut away to relieve swelling on his brain. Andrew had flown out to Spain with his brother Ian and four other friends to attend Europe's largest fancy dress party in the holiday destination. Ian said that he had been three or four times previously to Benidorm's fancy dress festival which follows on from the Spanish resort's annual Fiesta, and regularly attracts 20,000 visitors. He said: 'Some of the lads had not been to Benidorm before so we took them to a couple of places, and landed up in this bar. 'We were leaving at around 1.30am. Andrew was outside waiting for us in the road and we were following him out. 'He was on the kerb edge of the footpath, and this bouncer was stood in front of him and in his face. 'My brother was looking over his shoulder to see when we were coming out, and this guy just punched him and knocked him out. 'He fell backwards and hit his head on the road because he was out cold. I ran over and held his head. 'A British nurse who was walking past with her husband rushed to help and propped his head up. She was horrified by what had happened and stayed with us. 'The next few minutes were a bit of a blur until the ambulance and police arrived. 'I was concentrating on my brother, and saw the police were talking to the bouncer, but in a casual manner. 'A police officer said to me, 'Do you want to press charges?', and I said: 'Mate, I am concentrating on my brother.' 'My mate asked them to have a look at the CCTV on the building, but the policeman turned round and said, 'It's broke'. 'Andrew was unconscious for several minutes, but it seemed like an age. The paramedics put him in an ambulance on a stretcher and took him to hospital. 'One friend went with him while I ran back to our apartment to get his passport. Then I caught a taxi to the hospital. 'Our friend was talking to reception at the hospital for five or ten minutes to get him signed in, and was then shown to a room where he was. 'A nurse had him bent over and was putting seven staples into this nasty wound in the back of his head. There were no scans or anything.' After paying a 200 euro fee to the private clinic, Ian took his brother back to their apartment in the taxi, where he slept on a sofa bed. Ian added: 'The next morning he woke up and I told him I was going out for fresh air, and he replied, 'I'm OK, I'm alright'. 'I then asked him his name and he gave the same reply. Every time he was asked a question, he said the same words and nothing else. 'He managed to get up and took his clothes off before going back to sleep. After that, he woke up and was slurring his words, and he spent the rest of the day sleeping. I thought he was just concussed. 'We were due to fly home on Saturday, and it was clear on the Friday that he was not fit to fly, so we called an ambulance. 'It was a struggle to put him in the wheelchair because he was a dead weight. When he was at the hospital, he had a scan and they found a bleed on his brain. 'The doctor said that if he did not have an operation he would die, and he was transferred to a hospital in Alicante. 'He was put in intensive care and his condition seemed to improve, meaning he could be moved to a neurology ward.' But things went downhill for Andrew after doctors said they had to operate him at once. Andrew spent two and a half hours in surgery having part of his skull removed Ian, a civil engineer, said: 'The neuro-surgeon told us that they have to wait for his brain swelling to go down before reattaching his skull, but that it could take up to one or two months. Just nine days before ending up in intensive care, Andrew, a father-of-two, had proposed to his long-term partner, Carrie. Carrie and Ian said they had formally reported the alleged attack to the Spanish police, but did not want to comment further, pending the investigation. Ian said they had a number of witnesses to the incident including the British nurse who initially gave first aid to Andrew.
