The Indiana Fever star was hip-checked to the floor by the Connecticut Sun's Marina Mabrey in a scuffle between the two teams, with Mabrey only receiving a technical foul from referees. Clark, who had been poked in the eye by the Sun's Jacy Sheldon seconds earlier before shoving her back, received a technical foul as well, while Sheldon was slapped with a flagrant. But porn star Kendra Lust didn't think the incident was handled correctly by referees. 'How was nobody ejected ? @ WNBA this is crazy.. poke to the eye more intentionally than a UFC fight lol then another player comes and knocked down,' Lust posted to X on Wednesday. The adult performer later told Outkick: 'I think it's either gonna be her getting hurt or a fight for the WNBA to finally take action. 'Other top players in the league speaking up would help also.' The WNBA later upgraded Mabrey's technical foul to a flagrant two, which will come with the standard fine for that designation. Nonetheless, Lust was not the only person angered by how Clark was treated, as Barstool boss Dave Portnoy called for 'jealous loser' Mabrey to be kicked out of the league. 'Marina Mabrey is a jealous loser punk,' Portnoy wrote on X. 'Asks to be traded on every single team she's on until she's on worst team in the league and completely irrelevant unless she's cheap shorting Caitlin. Go play in rec league where nobody gives a s*** about you.' 'Imagine not kicking Marina Mabrey out after she assaults the face of the league? Just a common tech? Sick league @WNBA Also shouldn't have been a tech on Caitlin since that girl got in her face after gouging her eyes.' Clark was routinely roughed up in her rookie season - namely by Chennedy Carter in one infamous incident - but that sort of treatment has seemingly persisted in her sophomore year. However, Clark's new teammate Sophie Cunningham has made it her mission to protect the reigning Rookie of the Year, as new footage from the wild clash on Tuesday shows that Cunningham was itching to get involved. Cunningham, who was not in the game at the time, had to be held back from the sideline as she tried to rush in and defend Clark. She could be seen briefly trying to run towards the fracas before being intercepted by assistant coach Austin Kelly, who held onto her for several seconds until the incident died down.

Barstool boss Dave Portnoy has revealed why he believes Americans are ditching traditional news outlets, as the online aficionado has said there's a 'big time distrust' among the longstanding networks. Portnoy runs one of the largest online brands in sports that has attracted talent who have ended up becoming some of the largest names in media, such as Alex Cooper and Pat McAfee. The Barstool founder's comments come in the backdrop of CNN 's grip of primetime news weakening, as they have fallen from first to third in ratings over the last several years. 'It is obviously big time distrust of legacy media,' Portnoy told Fox News. 'And there's so many different ways to consume media. Whether that's online podcasts, some of it good, some of it bad, to be honest, you just have to be really careful where you're getting your information from. There's so many different people speaking now and people can access it in so many ways.' 'The internet has given a way for people to fact-check and come to their own conclusions You just don't have a couple of network TV anchors or chairs telling you what to think.' One person told Fox the mood within CNN 'remains really grim' and 'people are uncertain' over the future. Portnoy has been an agent of change for internet news, with his brand's content mainly focusing on social media and podcasting. The 48-year-old has still broken into the mainstream with Barstool's success and the internet playing a role in every news cycle. Portnoy may be Barstool's biggest individual star, after others have found success and taken their talents elsewhere recently, such as Bussin' With the Boys, which is hosted by former NFL stars Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. Former Call Her Daddy host Sofia Franklyn just compared her departure from the podcast to one of the biggest music industry feuds, and it's a rather bold statement. Sofia hosted the Call Her Daddy podcast alongside her roommate, Alex Cooper, from 2018 to 2020. Today, Sofia is the host of her own hit podcast, Sofia with an F. In her new Hulu docuseries Call Her Alex, Alex explained that she and Sofia signed a three-year contract and a "70 grand" deal with Barstool Sports at the beginning of their podcast together. When the popularity of Call Her Daddy skyrocketed, the co-hosts renegotiated their pay in 2020. In the series, Alex said Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy told them, "If you stay at Barstool for one more year, you can own Call Her Daddy."According to the series, Sofia didn't want to take the new deal and decided to leave the podcast, to which Alex said, "I realized the 'Daddy Gang' was bigger than both of us," and believes she made the correct decision. Speaking of her dynamic with Sofia, Alex also said in the docuseries, "It was the classic, 'You think you see something online and people genuinely believe you're like sisters, but our relationship was so awful.'" On June 16, Sofia appeared on the Trading Secrets podcast with Bachelor alum Jason Tartick to explain her side of the exit from Call Her Daddy, and that's when she compared it to the drama between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun. Sofia has remained relatively quiet about her exit from the podcast. Now, she finally explained that she made this decision out of fear of "looking crazy" if she was honest about her fallout with Alex. However, she could relate to how people were "villainized" in the situation between Taylor and Scooter. In 2019, Scooter acquired Taylor Swift's catalog, which ignited a very public feud between the two, with Scooter receiving a lot of backlash. Taylor went on to re-record and release four studio albums. In May 2025, Taylor announced that she had finally bought back her music catalog. Sofia told Jason that Scooter is a dream podcast guest based on what he experienced during the feud over Taylor's masters. "When I saw the Taylor Swift stuff and looked into it, he looked like a horrible human being," Sofia said. "Then in hindsight, when I was really looking at the details, it's like, well ... he bought something legally ... He was so villainized." What makes Sofia's comparison a miss, in my opinion, is that Scooter and Taylor's feud goes beyond his purchase of the label Big Machine Records, which included Taylor's music, and the subsequent sale to another company. Scooter was Kanye West's (now Ye) manager during his 2016 beef with Taylor, and she has apparently considered him her nemesis for awhile. Their feud even resulted in Taylor being labeled a "snake" and blasted on social media. Scooter was even pictured in a screenshot from a FaceTime call with Ye and Justin Bieber with the caption: "Taylor swift what up." Scooter's proximity to Taylor's situation with Kanye over the release of his controversial song "Famous" and even the footage Kim Kardashian released later in an attempt to discredit the "Karma" singer, it's no surprise she wasn't a fan of her music catalog being even referenced that photo of Scooter, Justin, and Ye, claiming she received "incessant, manipulative bullying" from Scooter, like "when Kim Kardashian orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked and then Scooter got his two clients together to bully me online about it." Perhaps the split of the Call Her Daddy hosts was as toxic as the Taylor and Scooter drama that lasted over many years and involved several high-profile celebrities with the internet fandoms blowing it out of proportion — but I personally would never want to compare myself to that.

The confrontation led to both players getting a technical foul. Three players in the game, including Sheldon and the Fever's Sophie Cunningham, were later ejected during a brawl. Partway through his lengthy rant, Portnoy once again turned his focus to the Sun player, adding: 'Then bang, Marina Mabrey... who if you don't know who that is, she's been on 32 different teams in two years, she cries, whines, leaves one team, goes to another, demands a trade... she's an irrelevant journeyman. She runs up to Caitlin after the whistle and f***ing slams into her and knocks her down. An obvious ejection! 'Marina Mabrey look in the mirror. The reason that you have any money before the end of your career is number two two. Nobody even cared who you were until she got into the league. So cheap shot her like that, what are you? Dumb? 'More importantly, the league, the refs, you're going to let people take cheap shots like that over and over and over at the face of your league? The future of your league? The most important player in your league? How do you not eject her?' The WNBA is likely to review the incidents from Tuesday's Fever-Sun game for supplemental discipline, with the quartet of Cunningham, Sheldon, Mabrey, and Lindsay Allen the likely candidates for fines or suspensions. Following the Fever's 88-71 victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the teams do not face each other again until July 15. Sheldon and Clark primarily guarded each other during the WNBA Commissioner's Cup clash, with the former Iowa star first taking issue with Sheldon's aggressiveness in the second quarter. Their simmering tension eventually boiled over when Clark and Sheldon were caught in a feisty exchange with the Fever star firing off a volatile message to further stoke the feud. 'I can do whatever the f*** I want to do,' Clark said to Sheldon before shoving her away. The contest, which qualified the Fever for the Commissioner's Cup Final on July 1, was Clark's second game back in Indiana's lineup after missing three weeks with a quad injury.

The former All-Pro was the perfect kind of receiver they felt was needed to pair with Terry McLaurin. Advertisement It's not like Samuel came without baggage, though. After an All-Pro season in 2021, the South Carolina product has struggled to match that production since. Injuries and concerns about his weight have followed Samuel over the last few years. Indeed, a minicamp video this week shows Deebo running a route and looking ... maybe a bit thick. And maybe something shy of being a sprinter. And now the criticism is oozing out of the woodwork. A Barstool headline - "The Haters And Losers Are Once Again Calling Deebo Samuel Fat'' - is one way to combat the negative movement. Another? Listen to head coach Dan Quinn, who has been very complimentary of Samuel's work so far with the Commanders. With a star quarterback in Jayden Daniels feeding him ball, those injury and weight concerns should be a thing of the past. Being paired with a top receiver like McLaurin will only open the offense more for Samuel.
