Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Nick Carter's slimmed-down appearance has sparked concern among fans who are worried about his wellbeing. On Wednesday, the singer shared a relaxing selfie via Instagram ahead of practice for the Backstreet Boys' Las Vegas residency at the Sphere. 'Soaking up some Vegas heat before today's rehearsals,' Carter, 45, captioned the photo. Carter appeared in good spirits, wearing a grey hat and a dark red Ford T-shirt. Nick Carter's latest selfie, promoting the Backstreet Boys' upcoming residency in Las Vegas, has sparked fan concern. Fans couldn't help but voice their concerns about his thin frame in the comments section, however, with one writing, 'Sorry to say, but you look a bit too thin to me! … I hope you're okay, @nickcarter! Love you so much!' 'He looks very unhealthy, hope he is okay!' another added, as a third chimed in, 'I'm a [bit] nervous.' 'Maybe he took some Ozempic,' a fourth wrote, to which another snapped back, 'Maybe you should mind your business.' In another photo shared on Thursday with his daughter, Carter also appeared slimmer. Meanwhile, others rushed to Carter's defence, urging critics not to 'comment on other people's bodies.' 'Hey ladies … just like we don't want men commenting on our weight … men don't need to hear your opinions either,' one supporter wrote. '[I] think it's more out of concern … hope he's doing fine mentally and physically,' a second added. A source, meanwhile, told Page Six that Carter is 'not on Ozempic.' Fans immediately commented on the pop star's appearance as he looked like a shadow of his former self. Picture:According to the insider, the pop icon and his bandmates have been rehearsing for their Vegas residency 'for the past two months now' and 'working out non-stop.' 'It's not going to be an easy show,' the source continued, adding that Carter's social media proves that he has slowly slimmed down over the past few months. 'It didn't happen overnight,' they said. Reps for Carter did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. The Backstreet Boys — which also consists of Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough — will begin their Into The Millennium residency at the Sphere starting July 11. Nick's return to the stage comes after the tragic deaths of three of his siblings, Leslie Carter, Aaron Carter and Bobbie Jean Carter, who passed away in 2012, 2022 and 2023, respectively. In November 2023, the I Want It That Way singer admitted he was still grieving his late brother, telling E! News that it 'hurts' not to have made amends before he passed. He also addressed Bobbie Jean's death in January 2024, writing via Instagram that 'it may take a lifetime to fully process the loss [his] family has endured over the years.' Nick was one of five siblings. The family is also survived by Aaron's twin sister, Angel. Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter sparks concern over his VERY thin figure in new selfie

Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter sparked concern from fans over how thin he looked in a selfie he posted Wednesday. The 45-year-old boybander - who boasts 6.9M social media followers - captioned the sunny snap: 'Soaking up some Vegas heat before today's rehearsals.' Comparing pictures of Nick (born Nickolas) from 2022 to now seem to suggest he's taking a trendy GLP-1 agonist drug. Celebrities who've admitted to taking the trendy injectables include Oprah Winfrey, Kathy Bates, Kelly Clarkson, Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan Trainor, Elon Musk, Rebel Wilson, Chelsea Handler, Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Lauren Manzo, Dolores Catania, and Golnesa 'GG' Gharachedaghi. But for every celebrity who admits to hopping aboard the Ozempic train, there are many more who've remained suspiciously silent while slimming including Lizzo, Mindy Kaling, Melissa McCarthy, Khloé Kardashian, Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera, Ricki Lake, and Patricia Arquette. The FDA has only approved three GLP-1 drugs specifically for weight loss - the semaglutide Wegovy, the liraglutide Saxenda, and the tirzepatide Zepboun - and the rest are specifically for patients suffering from type 2 diabetes. The 45-year-old boybander - who boasts 6.9M social media followers - captioned the sunny snap: 'Soaking up some Vegas heat before today's rehearsals' One look at the comments of Carter's latest Instagram post reveals just how many of his fans believe he's on Ozempic. Instagram user @the_schuermanns posted a crying emoji and wrote: 'Maybe he took some Ozempic.' 'He looks very unhealthy,' Instagram user @michaelhilt0n commented. 'Hope he is okay!' Instagram user @ posted a sad emoji and wrote: 'Sorry to say, but you look a bit too thin to me! I hope you're okay, @nickcarter! Love you so much!' 'Hey Nick, you look great as always, but please don't overdo it with your fitness or whatever you do to look like that,' Instagram user @kaosnickgirl44 wrote. 'We still need you, okay?' Instagram user @hfreeman722 commented: 'Need to gain some weight back.' The eight-time Grammy nominee - who once topped the scales at 240lbs - appears to maintain his slimmer 6ft1in frame with dance rehearsals, swinging a baseball bat, and occasionally golfing. Nick hasn't shared a gym snap since March 2024 after previously posting about losing weight and eating healthier as far back as 2021 when he wrote: 'Just gotta get rid of this belly that I've had since I was a teenager.' In 2022, Carter revealed he was '20 pounds down [with] 10 more to go' off his 'dad bod.' 'I'm nowhere near where I would like to be,' the Dirty Laundry singer wrote at the time. Nick hasn't shared a gym snap since March 2024 after previously posting about losing weight and eating healthier as far back as 2021 when he wrote: 'Just gotta get rid of this belly that I've had since I was a teenager' 'But I'm closer to my goal to being back in shape before our upcoming residency in Vegas.' Indeed, Nick and his older bandmates - AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell - officially kick off their 21-date residency, Into the Millennium Sphere in Las Vegas, on July 11. And back in 2009, Carter revealed he shed 65lbs when he got sober after being diagnosed with cardiomyopathy following a decade of abusing drugs and alcohol. The homeschooled Gen-Xer is currently facing his fourth sexual assault lawsuit, this time from Laura Penly, who alleged he raped her and infected with HPV in 2004 - leading to her being diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. 'This is just more of the same nonsense from the gang of conspirators and their lawyers who continue to abuse the justice system to try to ruin Nick Carter,' Nick's attorneys Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes Jr. told TMZ last April. 'It's drawn from the same predictable playbook – lie in wait for decades until Mr. Carter is celebrating a professional milestone, then hide behind litigation privilege to make utterly false claims in an attempt to inflict maximum damage on Nick and his family.' On the personal front, Carter has three children - son Odin, 9; daughter Saoirse, 5; and daughter Pearl, 4 - from his 11-year marriage to Crypto Café founder Lauren Kitt Carter. The Carters: Hurts to Love You star suffered the loss of his troubled younger brother Aaron who died, age 34, in 2022 from accidental drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam (Xanax).

Building the Band OTT Release Date: When and where to watch musical show ft. Liam Payne's final appearance

Building the Band OTT Release Date: This is a new musical reality series that asks a simple question: Can you form a successful band without ever seeing your bandmates? Building the Band is set to release on Netflix starting July 9, 2025, with 10 episodes rolling out across three weeks. Here's all you need to know! What is the show about? In Building the Band, a group of singers enters a competition to form the next great music group. The twist? They won't see each other until after the bands are formed. Contestants perform alone in sound booths and choose potential bandmates based only on their voices and musical compatibility. The goal is to create groups built purely on talent and connection, not on visuals or image. Once the bands are formed, the real test begins. The singers meet face-to-face for the first time, rehearse, choreograph, and prepare for performances. The show follows them through every stage, from blind auditions to rehearsals to final showcases, as they try to prove that chemistry in music can come before appearances. Building the Band starts with solo performances in isolation booths, like that of 24-year-old Donzell from Arkansas, who sings Labrinth's 'Jealous.' Their identities remain hidden until the groups are formed, making the process focused purely on sound and potential. The release is structured over three weeks: July 9 – Episodes 1 to 4 July 16 – Episodes 5 to 7 July 23 – Episodes 8 to 10 The host, judge and mentors Building the Band is hosted by AJ McLean, known for being part of the Backstreet Boys. Nicole Scherzinger leads as judge and mentor, drawing on her own experience in a pop group. Guest appearances include Kelly Rowland, offering her perspective from her time in Destiny's Child. The show also features the late Liam Payne as a guest judge. His segments were filmed before his passing and have been included with the approval of his family. This marks his final on-screen appearance.
