A formal proposal will be sent to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, according to TTD Chairman B.R. Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao informed the media that the move aims to give the airport a spiritual and iconic identity because of its proximity to the Tirumala shrine. 'A proposal will be sent to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation,' Naidu board also approved the construction of a Lord Venkateswara temple in Bengaluru. The decision followed a request from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Sivakumar. Both leaders have agreed in principle to allocate 47 acres of land for the part of its eco-friendly initiatives, TTD will receive 100 electric buses from the Ministry of Heavy Industries. These buses, facilitated by H.D. Kumaraswamy, will be used for transporting pilgrims in Tirupati and Tirumala, depending on demand and board approved the leasing of about 30 acres of land for setting up a Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) laboratory in Tirupati. The lab will test materials such as ghee, water, and food used in the preparation of prasadam, ensuring their quality and plans to modernise the TTD Degree College in New Delhi. It also recommended that the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) temporarily stop recruitments in TTD-run institutions. A three-member committee led by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy will look into the issues raised by around 200 contract lecturers awaiting board announced two initiatives—'Mana Varasatvam' and 'Sadgamaya'—to help students learn about Hindu traditions and Telugu culture. These programmes aim to instil values of Sanatana Dharma and support personality development among the plans to expand its public outreach with programmes such as Akshara Govindam, Harikatha Vaibhavam, Bhagavad Gita Anushtana Bodhana, Bhaje Srinivasam, Vana-Nidhi, Giri Janardhanam, and Sanmargam. The board also resolved to observe World Yoga Day on June 21 at the parade grounds behind TTD's administrative buildings in Tirupati.

TTD proposes to name Renigunta airport after Lord Venkateswara
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board of trustees on Tuesday decided to recommend renaming the Renigunta airport as 'Sri Venkateswara International Airport' and send a proposal in this regard to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. Addressing the media, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao said that the proposal aimed to infuse the facility with a 'distinctive spiritual and iconic character', befitting its proximity to the shrine of Lord Venkateswara. Another important decision taken at the meeting was to build a Lord Venkateswara temple in Bengaluru. The decision was taken following a request from Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Sivakumar, who, in principle, have agreed to allocate 47 acres of land for the purpose. Electric buses As part of its commitment to eco-friendly transport, the TTD is all set to receive 100 electric buses from the Ministry of Heavy Industries facilitated by H.D. Kumaraswamy. These buses will be deployed for the transportation of pilgrims at Tirupati and Tirumala, subject to demand and feasibility. The board also decided to lease about 30 acres of land for the setting up of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) laboratory in Tirupati, where it intends to test essential commodities such as ghee, water and food and other ingredients used in the preparation of prasadams inside the hill temple and thereby ensure their quality. Another important decision taken was to modernise TTD Degree College in New Delhi and to recommend the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to halt the recruitments in the TTD-run institutions. A three-member committee headed by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, which has been formed as per the instructions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will recommend a decision regarding the recruitments after addressing the concerns of around 200 contract lecturers working with the TTD but yet to get regularised despite putting in tens of years of service. 'Sadgamaya' programme To foster spiritual and ethical values among youth, the board decided to introduce 'Mana Varasatvam' programme to educate the students on the Hindu traditions and Telugu cultural heritage, along with the 'Sadgamaya' programme aimed at instilling values of the Sanatana Dharma and personality development. The TTD is also planning to expand its public outreach with spiritual programmes such as Akshara Govindam, Harikatha Vaibhavam, Bhagavad Gita Anushtana Bodhana, Bhaje Srinivasam, Vana-Nidhi, Giri Janardhanam, and Sanmargam for the benefit of a wider audience. The board also resolved to observe the World Yoga Day at the parade grounds behind the TTD administrative buildings in Tirupati on June 21.

SVIMS to offer AI-based medical services soon, says TTD chairman
Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) will soon offer Artificial Intelligence based medical services and perform a higher share of surgeries through robotic arms, announced Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman B.R. Naidu on Wednesday (June 11). He was speaking at the 13th convocation of the TTD-run medical university held here. He recalled the institute's meteoric rise right from it was conceived by the then Chief Minister the late N.T. Rama Rao in 1993 to getting on the verge of becoming an Institute of National Importance. The institute has been reaching out to the poor and needy patients from Rayalaseema for the past three decades, offering services to 1,500 out patients and 750 in patients everyday. 'SVIMS is only the second in the public sector in the country to run an all-women medical college, which is a matter of pride,' Mr. Naidu added. The college produces 175 female doctors every year in the specialties of cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, nephrology, urology and oncology. Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao congratulated the 501 young doctors graduating from the institute and hailed SVIMS for becoming the first public sector medical institute in India to perform triple transplantation surgery of heart, liver and kidney. Recalling the TTD's spending in medical infrastructure, Mr. Naidu listed out the new buildings under construction, viz., the cancer block, cardio neuro blocks, specialties block, central kitchen, central warehouse, staff quarters and accommodation for the patients' attendants. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS-Madurai) director M. Hanumantha Rao, who delivered the convocation address, wanted SVIMS to become an institute of national importance soon. He said such institutes always have an edge in funding support, autonomy in decision making, curricular design, resource allocation, global recognition and scope for collaboration with other reputable institutions. 'SVIMS has all the requisites to become an INI', he remarked. SVIMS director and vice-chancellor R.V. Kumar read out the annual report and thanked the TTD trust board for taking up developmental works at the hospital. Scholars led by SVIMS dean Alladi Mohan showered Vedic hymns (Vedasirvachanams) on the graduates. Director of medical education (Academic) G. Raghunandan and SVIMS registrar Aparna R. Bitla also took part.

TTD initiates trial of anti-drone surveillance system at Tirumala
In a proactive move to strengthen security around Lord Venkateswara temple, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has initiated the trial of a cutting-edge anti-drone surveillance system. The aim is to enhance aerial security and prevent unauthorised drone activity in the airspace of the temple town. The move comes in light of heightened national security concerns and recent war-like scenarios at the country's frontiers. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao and Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary recently took part in a demonstration carried out by a Hyderabad-based drone manufacturing company. They urged the police and vigilance officials to examine the proposed anti-drone system and submit a report within ten days. The company is learnt to have been manufacturing anti-drone systems with Israeli technology. In light of the anti-drone system recently installed by the Central government at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, the TTD officials are preparing plans to implement similar security measures in Tirumala and seek the support of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) in this regard.

AP: TTD Chairman displeased over improper maintenance of Palamaner Goshala
States » South Tirupati, May 21 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu on Wednesday expressed displeasure over improper maintenance and unhygienic surroundings at TTD Goshala located in Palamaner near here. Naidu, who conducted a surprise inspection at the Goshala, instructed officials to submit a detailed report on the daily operations of the Gosala within a week. Spread across 450 acres, the TTD-run Swadeshi Go Samvardhana Trust currently houses around 500 cows. During his visit, the Chairman personally offered fodder to the cows and inquired with the staff about the availability and quality of feed, drinking water, and veterinary care being provided to the cattle.
