Rs 140.07 Crores Credited Under Rythu Bharosa Scheme to Support 1.35 Lakh Farmers in Jogulamba Gadwal
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh announced that financial aid amounting to ₹140.07 crores has been directly deposited into the bank accounts of small and marginal farmers across Jogulamba Gadwal district under the Rythu Bharosa (Farmer Investment Support) Scheme, ahead of the upcoming Vanakalam (Kharif) crop season. In an official statement, the Collector emphasized that the scheme, being implemented by the state government with the goal of farmer welfare and development, is significantly reducing the investment burden on farmers. As of Thursday evening (June 19, 2025), financial assistance has been disbursed to 1,35,024 farmers owning up to four acres of land. 'This timely deposit enables farmers to procure seeds, fertilizers, and pay labor charges without delay,' the Collector stated, underlining the importance of early support in ensuring smooth agricultural operations. The process involved accurate registration of farmers' bank account details and land information on the Rythu Bharosa portal by officials from the Agriculture Extension Department. The funds were released to eligible farmers based on this verified data. He assured that the remaining farmers will also receive the financial assistance soon. Collector Santosh highlighted that this scheme is not only providing economic relief but also enhancing mental stability among farmers. 'Providing assistance before the sowing season prevents farmers from falling into the trap of debts and allows them to begin cultivation with confidence,' he added. The Collector affirmed that the government's support extends to every acre of cultivable land, reflecting its commitment to stand by the farmers at every step. 'This is more than just a financial transaction — it is a testament to the trust and dedication the government holds toward our farmers,' he remarked. The Rythu Bharosa Scheme is increasingly being seen as a transformative initiative, aiming to boost agricultural productivity and empower rural communities by ensuring that small and marginal farmers receive necessary input support right when it is needed the most.

Collector Santosh Directs Officials to Intensify ‘Badi Bata' Campaign to Boost School Enrollment and Prevent Dropout
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has directed officials to implement the Badi Bata (School Enrollment Drive) program in a well-planned manner, not only to increase student enrollment in government schools but also to prevent dropouts. On Friday, a meeting was held at the IDOC Conference Hall with education department officials to review the Badi Bata program and the distribution of school uniforms. Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector emphasized the need to increase student enrollment in schools. He instructed that all students from classes 1 to 9 enrolled last academic year must be enrolled in classes 2 to 10 this year without fail. A clear list should be prepared showing which schools the children in Anganwadi centers will join, and welfare officers should ensure each child is enrolled accordingly. He stressed the identification of out-of-school children and the need to guide and enroll them in schools without exception. Daily action plans under the Badi Bata program should be submitted as reports. He also directed officials to visit every household, identify students studying in Anganwadi, government, and private schools, and update the village education register. The Collector instructed all officials to prevent child marriages and ensure that every child continues their education. He asked for awareness meetings to be conducted at the mandal level about school admissions. He also called for maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation in schools. Parents should be made fully aware of the various benefits offered by the government to students studying in government schools, including free textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, digital education, scholarships, and other incentives. He further suggested promoting the academic success of Class 10 students in government schools to encourage enrollments. He instructed that high-quality school uniforms must be distributed to students by June 12, prior to the reopening of schools. APMs must ensure that the uniforms are submitted to Mandal Education Officers by June 11 without fail. Any school facing issues should submit detailed reports so immediate solutions can be provided. He also insisted that data on the number of students and the distribution of uniforms in each school must be available to avoid any complaints of students being left out. Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, Narsinga Rao, DEO Abdul Ghani, DPO Nagendram, Welfare Officer Sunanda, ED SC Corporation Ramesh Babu, Mandal Education Officers, APMs, and others attended the meeting.

During his visit, the Collector reviewed the process of application acceptance, issuance of receipts by registrars, and the types of land issues being reported by applicants. He also personally interacted with the farmers, enquired about their land problems, and provided valuable suggestions on possible solutions. He issued clear directions to the officials, stressing the need to resolve land grievances promptly. The Collector stated that under the Bhu Bharati program, revenue officials are reaching out directly to villages to address and settle land disputes on-site. He informed that this program will be actively conducted across the district from June 3 to June 20, 2025. Collector Santosh advised farmers facing land-related problems to fill out the prescribed forms and submit them to the concerned authorities. He assured that revenue officials will be available from 9:00 AM until all applications are received each day, ensuring accessibility and support to every applicant. He instructed officials to act responsibly at every stage of the process, from form collection to online entry of application data, to ensure transparency and efficiency. He urged the public to fully utilize the opportunities presented by the Bhoomi Bharati camps being held in their villages. Several key officials were present during the event, including Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, RDO Alivelu, Gadwal Tahsildar Mallikarjun, revenue department staff, farmers, and other local stakeholders. District Collector Orders Full-Scale Preparations for Bhoo Bharati Revenue Conferences from June 3 to 20
Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has directed officials to be thoroughly prepared for the upcoming Bhoo Bharati revenue conferences scheduled from June 3 to June 20, emphasizing the need for systematic and effective implementation. On Friday, an orientation session on Bhoo Bharati was conducted at the IDOC Conference Hall for Tahsildars, Deputy Tahsildars (DTs), and Revenue Inspectors (RIs). Speaking at the session, the Collector said the government's main goal is to resolve all land-related issues efficiently. He stated that the new Bhoo Bharati Act is being implemented in place of the previous Dharani system. Through this new legislation, services such as land registration, mutation, prohibited lands, ROR (Record of Rights) changes, inheritance issues, unregistered agreements (Sada Bainamas), and ORC services will become more accessible and streamlined for citizens. The Collector mentioned that the pilot project in Itikyala Mandal has been successfully completed, with applications accepted and issues being resolved under the new system. He further stated that the revenue conferences would be held in all village panchayats across the district between June 3 and June 20. He emphasized that all officials participating in the Bhoo Bharati program must have complete understanding of the relevant laws, rules, and schedules. Tahsildars were instructed to prepare and submit village-wise schedules for the revenue meetings. Each mandal must form two teams, which will visit one village per day and conduct the conference from morning to evening. Officials were asked to stay in the villages during the program and accept grievances and applications related to land issues directly from the public, ensuring prompt redressal. In cases of assigned lands, officials must identify and immediately report them to higher authorities, with the intention of forwarding them to the CCLA (Chief Commissioner of Land Administration). Applications must be accepted until June 20 and all issues should be resolved by August 14, the Collector said. He instructed that the public should be informed a day in advance of the scheduled date of the conference in their village and that application forms be distributed beforehand. At the end of each day's conference, the received applications must be digitally recorded by data entry operators. A detailed report of the day's activities and public responses must be submitted to the district center after every session. The Collector noted that under the new Bhoo Bharati Act, land disputes can be appealed from the Tahsildar level itself, enabling faster resolution of land-related issues. He called on farmers to utilize this opportunity to resolve their land problems effectively. Following the Collector's address, several officials' queries and doubts were clarified. The program was attended by Additional Collector Revenue Lakshmi Narayana, RDO Srinivas Rao, Tahsildars, Deputy Tahsildars, Revenue Inspectors, and others.

District Collector Urges Coordinated Efforts for Quality Cotton Seed Production in Gadwal
Gadwal: To ensure the supply of quality seeds to farmers, Jogulamba Gadwal District Collector B.M. Santosh stressed the need for seamless coordination among government officials, seed organizers, and seed companies. On Wednesday, the Collector chaired a meeting on cotton seed production at the IDOC meeting hall, bringing together officials from the agriculture department, representatives of seed companies, and seed organizers. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector noted that favorable rainfall this year presents an excellent opportunity for agricultural success. He urged all stakeholders to take proactive measures to avoid crop loss and help farmers earn higher incomes. Highlighting that cotton seed production is a major source of livelihood in the district, he stated that approximately 30,000 acres are under cultivation, supporting the production efforts of 35,000 to 40,000 farmers. Collector Santosh directed all stakeholders to work collaboratively to ensure good yields for farmers and mutual benefit for all parties. He instructed the seed companies to submit their operational plans for the current year's seed production. Additionally, companies must provide detailed reports on last year's seed production, including the number of farmers whose seeds passed the Grow-Out Test (GOT), and the volume of failed seed batches. The Collector emphasized that seed companies must extend technical support to seed-producing farmers. He urged the companies to regularly train farmers with the help of agricultural experts on how to handle challenges such as extreme heat, heavy rains, pests, and crop diseases. Strict action will be taken against those selling counterfeit seeds, the Collector warned. He also made it clear that child labor is strictly prohibited in cotton seed production and that any such incidents will result in severe penalties. Attendees at the meeting included Joint Director of Agriculture Jaggu Naik, District Agriculture Officer Sakriya Naik, ADA Sangeetha Lakshmi, Technical ADA Ramesh, Mandal Agriculture Officers, representatives from seed companies, and seed organizers.
