Zyx Technology partners with AIK to promote AI-driven architectural design
Zyx Technology, a Korean digital design platform company, on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Architectural Institute of Korea to bolster their partnership on AI-driven architectural design. As part of the agreement, Zyx Technology will donate 2 billion won's ($1.4 million) worth of educational licenses of its flagship computer-aided design software, ZyxCAD to AIK. The software will be distributed to students, faculty, and researchers for academic and research purposes. The partnership aims to promote domestic design technology in education, foster AI-based design automation, and support the localization of Building Information Modeling application software. Key initiatives include joint CAD training programs, technology development, regular seminars, and professional exchanges between academia and industry. ZyxCAD, registered on Korea's Public Procurement Service platform, boasts full compatibility with AutoCAD commands, shortcuts, and file formats, including LISP. Its user-friendly interface and high-speed multi-CPU processing make it suitable for both educational and industrial use. Additionally, it includes 'Works,' a CAD utility suite with over 450 features for task automation and advanced design. 'Partnering with the Architectural Institute of Korea, which sits at the intersection of academia and industry, is a meaningful opportunity to validate the technical value and practicality of ZyxCAD,' Eom Shin-jo, CEO of Zyx Technology, said. 'We look forward to working together to advance the digital design environment and expand the domestic software ecosystem.' Dubai-based distributor Mindware has extended its authorised partnership with Autodesk to include Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf, aiming to accelerate digital transformation across various sectors. Jun 18, 2025 Mindware, a major regional distributor of IT products, has announced the expansion of its partnership with global software leader Autodesk to cover the Gulf and Saudi Arabia. The move comes as part of a strategic effort to support digital transformation across key industries in the region. Having already served as an Autodesk distributor across the Levant and Rest of Middle East (ROME) regions, Mindware will now offer Autodesk's software portfolio—including AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and engineering tools—to resellers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and beyond. The partnership will also include support services such as technical consultancy, training, and joint go-to-market initiatives. "We are thrilled to strengthen our collaboration with Mindware and expand our reach in the GCC,' said Claudette Reuter, Senior Manager of Emerging Markets Channel Sales at Autodesk. 'With Mindware's regional expertise and strong partner network, we are empowering businesses to embrace innovation, enhance efficiency, and drive sustainable growth.' Zyx Technology, Seoul National University sign MOU to support landscape design education
Zyx Technology, a Korean AI digital design platform company, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional System Engineering at Seoul National University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences on June 10. The signing ceremony was held at the university's Seoul campus, with Vice Dean Heo Jin-hoe of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Zyx Technology Chairman Choi Jong-bok, and other key officials. As part of the agreement, Zyx Technology will donate 150 educational licenses per year of its flagship computer-aided design software, ZyxCAD, for three years. The software will be used to support coursework and research in landscape design, with the goal of enhancing practical design training for students. ZyxCAD is a general-purpose CAD program developed in Korea and listed in the national e-procurement system. It offers high compatibility with AutoCAD — supporting similar commands, shortcuts, file formats and LISP scripts — and features an intuitive interface with multi-CPU-based high-speed processing. The software also includes 'Works,' a utility suite with around 450 tools that streamline repetitive tasks and support complex design workflows. 'This collaboration with Seoul National University will be remembered as a meaningful case where Korea's top educational institution and domestic design software come together beyond the level of a single department,' said Zyx Technology Chairman Choi Jong-bok. 'We hope ZyxCAD will provide practical benefits to the department's advanced design education environment.'
