Man in hospital in serious condition after being burned in downtown fire
Crews responded to a fire in the 700 block of Pelissier Street on Thursday, June 12, 2025. (Source: Auston Kerr) A man has been taken to a hospital in Hamilton after being removed from a downtown Windsor fire on Thursday. Fire crews responded to the fire in the 700 block of Pelissier Street on Thursday for a structure fire. The fire, which was initially on the first floor, spread to the second. The Ontario Fire Marshal was on the scene Thursday evening and was back on Friday for the investigation. The Fire Marshal will lead the investigation moving forward. Crews responded to a fire in the 700 block of Pelissier Street on Thursday, June 12, 2025. (Source: Auston Kerr) Windsor fire officials say one person has been removed from a building with burns after a downtown fire. Crews responded to a fire in the 700 block of Pelissier Street on Thursday afternoon. The updated structure fire was brought under control. Fire was showing on the second floor. Essex-Windsor EMS and Windsor police were also on scene assisting. The public was asked to avoid the area.
