Man injured in motorcycle crash in Albert Lea
Jun. 10—An 18-year-old man was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Sunday evening after he reportedly crashed his motorcycle on Lakeview Boulevard near Oriole Drive.
According to Albert Lea police, Austin Thomas Scott Lamp of Albert Lea sustained suspected serious injury.
A witness stated Lamp and at least one other motorcycle were racing on Lakeview Boulevard in a 30 mph when Lamp lost control of the 2002 Honda VTR1000 motorcycle he was riding and crashed.
No drugs or alcohol were suspected.
Lamp and Cole Benson Stanek, 22, were cited for careless driving and speed.
