The Egyptian actress Asmaa Galal just celebrated her 30th birthday, and let's just say, she did not come to play when it came down to partying. ICYMI, the star, born on May 22, 1995, recently turned another year around the sun looking glammed in a sparkly dress. Surrounded by her close friends and family, Asmaa was clearly enjoying her celebration filled with cheers and happy energy. But for the celebration, she fully entered in her glam mode, wearing not one, but two stunning outfits. How did the 30-year-old queen celebrate her b-day, you ask? Well, she started with a cute reel on Instagram, where she was seen wearing a short pink bubble dress with subtle clean girl makeup that highlighted her features (gorgeousss!). In the short but surely adorable video, she was seen dancing in front of a coquette-styled birthday cake decorated with candles. She captioned the reel: 'It's my birthday!' The production company unveiled the first behind-the-scenes photo from the upcoming film En Ghab El Qot set to hit cinemas in the upcoming period as part of the summer movie season. Starring Asser Yassin, Asmaa Galal, Mohamed Chahine, Carmen Besibas, Aly Sobhy, Samah Anwar, Hamza Diab, Entissar, Rehab El Gamal, and Sami Maghawry — along with a host of special guest appearances — the film is written by Ayman Wattar and directed by Sara Noah. En Ghab El Qot is a crime-comedy that follows the theft of a famous painting.

May 05, 2025 Filming is officially underway for 'El Selem W El Te'ban: Ahmed & Malak', a fresh take on the iconic 2001 film that left its mark on Egyptian cinema. While not a direct sequel, according to producer Mousa Essa, this new chapter is a modern spin on love and relationships for today's generation. Starring Amr Youssef and Asmaa Galal, the film boasts a powerhouse cast that also includes Maged Al Masry, Hatem Salah, Fadwa Abed, Heba Abd El Aziz, and Aya Sleem. Produced by RAW Entertainment and directed by Tarek Al Arian, with a script by Ahmed Hosny, the film is set to wrap production by mid-July and hit theatres across Egypt and the Arab world later this year.

Wegz Hits the Big Screen, Landing His First Leading Role in ‘Watar Hassas' Alongside Asmaa Galal
Wegz lands his first-ever leading role in a feature film titled 'Watar Hassas', starring alongside Asmaa Galal, with filming set to kick off soon. Written and directed by Ali El Arabi, 'Watar Hassas' is a romantic musical set to be filmed both in Egypt and abroad. In 2023, Wegz was featured in an article in The New York Times titled 'Aiming To Make Arab Hip-Hop Global'. 'The Egyptian artist Wegz has become a streaming star without a full album' stated the article. In 2023, Wegz donated a portion of his international tour revenue to Palestinian relief. Wegz — dubbed the most listened-to rapper in recent years in Egypt by multiple streaming platforms. Wegz is the first Arab artist who made a global tour with Live Nation company. The popular Egyptian rapper is the first Arab singer to cooperate with the giant company that has cooperated with top-notch stars including Harry Styles, and The Weekend among others. During the tour, Wegz performed in the world's most prestigious venues including Apollo Theater in London and NYC's Terminal 5. It is worth mentioning that Wegz released a song titled 'Ezz El Arab' (Arabs Glory) celebrating World Cup 2022, which was held for the first time in an Arab country. Wegz performed this song which highlighted the Arab unity during the World Cup in Qatar to be the first Egyptian singer to sing in the most prestigious sports event in the world. In 2022 and for the third year in a row, Wegz was listed as the top artist on Spotify list in Egypt and the region.
