Dean of Student Affairs at AGU Highlights Importance of Collaborative Gulf Youth Initiatives
Dr Aseel Al Saleh, Dean of Student Affairs at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) affirmed that the support afforded to youth from the leaders of the GCC states demonstrates said leadership's dedication to empowering youth and activating their active participation in comprehensive and sustainable development.
She explained that empowering youth is foundational for advancing collaborative initiatives, enhancing their contributions across various sectors, especially in innovation and community engagement. This serves to elevate the competitiveness of Gulf youth both regionally and globally.
Her remarks fell on occasion of Gulf Youth Day 2025, which this year is celebrated under the theme 'Responsible Gulf Youth for a Sustainable Future.' Al Saleh described this day as a significant milestone embodying the deep interconnectedness and unity among GCC countries, rooted in the conviction that youth are essential drivers of sustainable development and progress across multiple fields.
She added that celebrating this occasion helps reinforce a shared Gulf identity and provides a platform to showcase exemplary youth initiatives, asserting a generation capable of effectively contributing a prosperous future based on innovation, integration, as well as regional and global competitiveness.
Al Saleh also affirmed that AGU is pursuing an ambitious strategy to launch initiatives and programs aimed at developing young minds and broadening their opportunities for active societal participation. These efforts support youth empowerment, strengthen shared Gulf cultural values, and foster creativity across diverse fields.
