Nebius delivers first NVIDIA Blackwell general availability in Europe; brings NVIDIA AI Enterprise to Nebius AI Cloud

Announces first general availability of NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 capacity in Europe; NVIDIA B200 capacity to be available on-demand through Nebius self-service platform, as well as via NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton; Strengthens software capabilities of Nebius AI Cloud for enterprise use-cases and sovereign AI projects. AMSTERDAM, June 11, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS) today announced the first general availability of NVIDIA GB200 Grace Blackwell Superchip capacity for customers in Europe, as it continues to build out full-stack AI infrastructure globally to accelerate AI innovation at scale. Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, said: "Our mission is to provide the infrastructure that accelerates AI innovation in Europe and globally. By integrating NVIDIA accelerated computing and enterprise-grade software more deeply into the Nebius AI Cloud platform, we are giving European innovators – whether startups, enterprises, developers, or researchers – access to the tools they need to build, scale, and deploy the next generation of AI applications." Nebius today also announced other integrations with NVIDIA's accelerated computing platform, including expansion of Nebius AI Cloud with the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software stack; first-to-market access to NVIDIA Blackwell via NVIDIA DGX Cloud Lepton; and first-in-Europe access to NVIDIA Hopper GPUs through the NVIDIA Brev platform. Nebius will also offer instances featuring the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition later this year. "Nebius is helping bring the power of the AI factory to the forefront of Europe's AI transformation," said Dave Salvator, director of accelerated computing products at NVIDIA. "With its strong focus on performance, scalability, and compliance, Nebius enables innovators across sectors to develop and deploy the next generation of reasoning, agentic and physical AI faster and more efficiently." As an early adopter of NVIDIA Blackwell, Nebius worked with research group LMArena in collaboration with NVIDIA to bring LMArena's Prompt-to-Leaderboard (P2L) system into production using GB200 NVL72 infrastructure. Trained in just four days via NVIDIA DGX Cloud on Nebius, P2L routes real-time user queries to the most accurate and cost-efficient models, leveraging live feedback to optimize performance. "Nebius's GPU Cloud and AI-centric infrastructure give Prima Mente the elastic, cost-efficient HPC we need to train and fine-tune our 90M to 7B-parameter epigenetic foundation models at scale," said Ravi Solanki, CEO of Prima Mente. "Their life-sciences-ready platform lets us spin up secure clusters in minutes, compressing model-development cycles and accelerating delivery of next-generation brain-health diagnostics to researchers and clinicians worldwide." The first European-headquartered Reference Platform NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP), Nebius aligns with EU regulatory standards and provides the performance and transparency needed for national and sovereign AI projects. That makes Nebius a natural fit for strategic AI initiatives like Milestone Systems' Project Hafnia, which in collaboration with NVIDIA and Nebius is developing a compliant, anonymized video data platform for training AI vision-language models. These models are then used to help cities develop smart city AI solutions powered by NVIDIA digital twins and AI agents. All data is stored and processed within the EU. "It is a core commitment of the EU to lead the way when it comes to transparency, fairness and regulatory integrity within AI and technology," says Thomas Jensen, CEO of Milestone Systems. "Aligning with the legal framework is a key part of this. I am proud that Milestone's Project Hafnia, built on NVIDIA, can now provide the world's first regulatory compliant platform – and with Nebius serving as European cloud provider, visual AI model training with high-quality, compliant video data can truly be rooted in Europe." About Nebius Nebius is a technology company building full-stack infrastructure to service the explosive growth of the global AI industry, including large-scale GPU clusters, an AI-native cloud platform, and tools and services for developers. Russian billionaire and Putin critic launches AI data centres in the UK

A Russian billionaire and critic of Vladimir Putin is preparing to invest hundreds of millions of pounds in artificial intelligence (AI) data centres in the UK. Nebius, a technology company headquartered in the Netherlands, will invest £200m to establish an 'AI factory' in Britain, deploying 4,000 graphics-processing chips designed to power the latest generation of machine-learning technology. The $12bn (£9bn) business is assessing potential data centre sites in the South East. Nebius was formed as part of a carve-up of Yandex, a company known as 'Russia's Google'. Arkady Volozh, a Russian entrepreneur worth a reported $2bn, founded Yandex in 1997 as a Russian rival to the US search engine. The business later listed in New York and in 2021 was valued at more than $30bn. However, its shares were suspended in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Mr Volozh was sanctioned by the European Union. Over the years Yandex faced growing pressure from the Kremlin to censor online news and search results, and the company was accused by Brussels of helping to spread Kremlin propaganda. In 2023, Mr Volozh labelled Vladimir Putin's invasion 'barbaric' and said he was 'horrified' by the war. He said: 'I am categorically against it. Although I moved to Israel in 2014, I have to take my share of responsibility for the country's actions. 'There were reasons to stay silent during this long process. While there will anyway be questions about the timing of my statement today, there should be no questions about its essence. I am against the war.' The European Union removed its sanctions of Mr Volozh last year. Nebius was formed as part of a carve-up of Yandex, which spun off its Russian search division in a $5bn deal to Russian investors. Nebius, which is listed in the US, is made up of the remaining European, US and Israeli assets, including several data centres powered by Nvidia microchips and its self-driving car technology. Mr Volozh, Nebius's chief executive, said: 'The UK is where AI is being built, tested, and deployed at scale across industries from fintech to life sciences. Being here puts us closer to the start-ups, researchers, and enterprise leaders shaping what's next.' Nebius's UK investment comes after Sir Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister, announced plans to spend more than £1bn to boost the UK's computing power in a speech at London Tech Week alongside Jensen Huang, the Nvidia chief executive. On Monday, the Government announced a series of AI investments ahead of this week's Treasury spending review. These included £1bn for an AI research resource, made up of powerful AI data centres and supercomputers, as well as £187m to boost the technological skills of the UK workforce. On Tuesday, Peter Kyle, the Technology Secretary, also announced plans for a new Turing AI fellowship in a speech at London Tech Week. Backed by £25m, the programme will seek five AI experts who will be offered a substantial package to relocate to the UK and hire a team to conduct AI research. Mr Kyle said: 'We will harness the vast potential of our trillion-pound tech sector to help remake our country for the better.'

Why Nebius Group Rocketed 62% Higher in May

Nebius Group is one of the premier AI "neoclouds." It reported first-quarter earnings in May, with triple-digit hypergrowth, albeit off a small base. The company also invested in Toloka, a Jeff Bezos-funded AI data start-up. 10 stocks we like better than Nebius Group › Shares of up-and-coming "neocloud" Nebius Group (NASDAQ: NBIS) rocketed 61.7% in May, according to data from S&P Global Market Intelligence. Nebius was formerly known as Yandex, the "Russian Google." However, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the dawn of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, the company divested its Russian assets and changed its name to Nebius Group in August 2024, with the goal of becoming an AI neocloud based in Europe. In May, Nebius reported its first-quarter 2025 results, showing strong hypergrowth, albeit off a very low base, due to its change in business model. Nebius also invested in a Jeff Bezos-backed AI start-up, perhaps adding to the enthusiasm. The strong results, which came on a generally very good month for AI tech companies, propelled Nebius to new heights. While Nebius' revenue is still quite small, it is just deploying all the cash it received from its divestments into new AI data centers adorned with Nebius' proprietary infrastructure servers. In his letter to shareholders, CEO Arkady Volozh noted that in the span of just three quarters, the company has expanded from one data center in Finland to now five across Europe, the U.S., and the Middle East. In the first quarter, Nebius grew revenue by 385% to $55.3 million, while adjusted (non-GAAP) net losses per share deepened by only 19%. Meanwhile, the company's annualized recurring revenue (ARR) grew at an even higher rate than revenue, up a whopping 684% to $249 million. Investors were also able to get a good sense of the company's future profit potential. While revenue grew 385%, Nebius' total gross, depreciation, and operating costs combined grew by only 96%. Given the strong results, on top of a strong recovery in AI tech stocks following the May 12 U.S.-China rollback of tariffs, it's no wonder Nebius had a strong month. In addition, on May 9, Nebius made a strategic majority investment in Toloka, an AI data solutions start-up backed by both Bezos Expeditions and Mikhail Parakhin, CTO of Shopify (NASDAQ: SHOP). Toloka is a best-in-class expert data provider, drawing from experts in over 50 fields, and is a generator of synthetic data. The company already counts top AI clouds as clients, which use Toloka's data to power their large language models. Not only did Nebius have a fine May, but it also skyrocketed another 29.4% in June, after London-based Arete Research analyst Andrew Beale initiated coverage on the stock with a whopping $84 price target -- more than double the stock's price at the time. Like peer CoreWeave, it appears Nebius is also at the front of the line when receiving Nvidia reference design systems. That should pave the way for continued strong growth. Still, with an $11.4 billion market cap, or 45 times its current ARR, Nebius' recent skyrocketing stock price appears to reflect a lot of this hypergrowth already. That being said, Arete Research's analyst apparently thinks its growth trajectory justifies that sky-high valuation -- and then some.
