Elon Musk Blows Up Internet & Maybe D.C. With Claim That Trump Is In Epstein Files: 'Holy Sh*t'
The war of words and tweets between Donald Trump and his top donor Elon Musk just went nuclear. As the former DOGE chief and POTUS tossed slings and arrows at each other over the president's 'Big Beautiful Bill's' effect on the federal deficit and whether or not the SpaceX owner put the Republican back in power, Musk dropped 'the really big bomb.' After almost over a year connected to Trump at the hip, spending hundreds of millions on his 2024 campaign, and charging through the federal government's inner sanctums like a rabid bull in a China shop, Musk truly went full Little Boy and Fat Man. With zero evidence, Musk added: 'That is the real reason they have not been made public.' As Trump cancels Musk's billions in government contracts, and Musk says 'Yes' to a post calling for the former Apprentice host to resign and VP JD Vance move into the Oval Office, the reaction to the Epstein remark exploded online – even as Fox News and the rest of the mainstream media essentially ignored it initially. George Conway wrote, 'The opening drive in the Super Bowl of Sociopathy has begun!!' Surprisingly longtime Trump foe, Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) linked to Musk's Epstein post and wrote, 'I called for the full release of the Epstein Files a month ago because of my suspicion that @AGPamBondi was concealing the files to protect Donald Trump. Now my suspicion has been confirmed. Release the #EpsteinFiles now!' Echoing words that usually come from Republicans, fellow Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) wrote, 'This tweet from Elon Musk shows, again, that I was right: Trump is all over the Epstein files. I urge the Department of Justice to release all the Epstein files. What is the Trump Administration hiding?'Mehdi Hasan observed: 'The funny thing about this is that Musk, by attacking Trump, is admitting that he funded the guy in the Epstein files. Elon Musk Says President Trump Would've Lost the Election Without Him
Originally appeared on E! Online Elon Musk is clapping back. After President Donald Trump expressed being "very disappointed" in him since he left his role in the administration, the Tesla CEO slammed the politician for having "such ingratitude," alleging that he deserves credit for the results of the 2024 presidential race. "Without me," Musk wrote on X June 5, "Trump would have lost the election." And the tech mogul didn't only claim he was a crucial reason Trump and Vice President JD Vance were able to defeat Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz. Musk, 53, also alleged that he helped the Republican party gain the majority in the legislative branch, adding that without him, "Dems would control the House and Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate." And while Trump didn't respond directly to Musk's election remarks, he has since provided further insight into why the pair's political partnership came to an end. "Elon was 'wearing thin,'" the Apprentice alum wrote on Truth Social June 5. "I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!" More from E! Online Sean "Diddy" Combs Trial: Judge Threatens to Remove Rapper for Interacting With Jurors Paige DeSorbo Leaving Summer House After 7 Seasons Love Island USA Announces Yulissa Escobar's Sudden Exit From Show Shortly before Musk's election allegations, Trump shared where he stands with the SpaceX founder since he stepped away from his position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), revealing that he no longer believed their relationship would go the distance. 'Elon and I had a great relationship," Trump told reporters in the Oval office on June 5 ahead of his sit-down with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, per NBC News. "I don't know if we will anymore.' The politician explained that he wasn't pleased that Musk—who started his DOGE role in January—criticized his administration's tax cuts proposal shortly after his exit. As he put it, "I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot." But the POTUS also said he wasn't surprised by the behavior. According to the 78-year-old, Musk was reacting similarly to others who became "hostile" after leaving his cabinet. "People leave my administration, and they love us," Trump said. "And then at some point they miss it so badly, and some of them embrace it, and some of them actually become hostile." He added, "They wake up in the morning, and the glamour is gone. The whole world is different, and they become hostile." For a closer look at Trump's cabinet, keep reading. (E! News and NBC News are both part of the NBCUniversal family.) Criminals target Apprentice star in V&A Dundee scam bid
The Apprentice star Mike Soutar has revealed how he was targeted by criminals who used V&A Dundee in a bid to scam him. The Dundee-born businessman, a regular on Lord Sugar's BBC show, received an email he believed had been sent by the museum's chairman, Tim Allan. The message asked Mike – a board member at the V&A – to buy gift cards as a reward for hard-working staff at the museum. But he eventually realised he was being scammed when one of his transactions was blocked. Mike, who started his career at DC Thomson and is famed for catching out candidates on The Apprentice, posted about the scam bid on LinkedIn. He said the email from 'Tim' asked him to buy £450-worth of iTunes vouchers and to send his V&A colleague the pin numbers. Mike wrote: 'He sounds a bit stressed and impatient so I try to call him. 'I get no answer but, pressed for time myself, I buy £150 of vouchers. 'My credit card flags the second transaction and blocks it. 'I curse the overcautious fraud filter, and I tap on Tim's name at the top of the email address. 'It is not his email address. 'I message him. He phones me back. 'What's all this about vouchers?'' Mike says he got his money back but felt like an 'absolute mug' at nearly being caught out. He said: 'The irony is not lost on me. 'I'm the man who catches unwitting candidates out on The Apprentice! 'But scams don't prey on stupidity. They prey on timing. On stress. On distraction. They exploit trust. 'That's why so many victims don't talk about it. 'Because it feels personal. It shakes something deeper than your bank balance. 'So here I am, not staying silent. 'Fraud can happen to anyone. Even me. Even you.' The Courier has taken a look at 11 interesting facts about Mike, who has grilled Apprentice hopefuls since 2010.

Paramount Plan To Pay Off Trump Sparks California Senate Probe, Requests For Ex-CBS News Brass To Testify
Lesley Stahl is certain Paramount will pay off Donald Trump to end POTUS' $20 billion 60 Minutes lawsuit, and Scott Pelley exclaims journalism is under attack. However, if Shari Redstone thinks a big check and an apology for a piece last year from the CBS newsmagazine series he didn't like is enough to grease the regulatory wheels for Skydance's $8 billion absorption of the company, the California state Senate has a news alert for her. In a letter Friday sent to former 60 Minutes EP Bill Owens and ex-CBS News and Stations boss Wendy McMahon, plus the Paramount Global board and the state Attorney General, the heads of the Senate Energy, Utilities & Communications Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee in Sacramento began an investigation to see if Golden State bribery and unfair competition laws are about to be violated. More from Deadline '60 Minutes' Veteran Lesley Stahl Expects To Soon Be 'Mourning, Grieving' Paramount Settlement Of 'Frivolous' Trump Lawsuit Paramount Offers Millions To Trump To End $20B '60 Minutes' Suit & Let Skydance Merger Go Through Lester Holt Signs Off As 'NBC Nightly News' Anchor: "Facts Matter" Whether such a probe from the Democrat-dominated state Senate and voluntary (well, voluntary for now) testimony from Owens and McMahon could derail the big-bucks merger Redstone is banking on is unlikely. Yet, it's sure to make it uncomfortable for the current owners and the potential future ones. 'Your recent resignations from CBS's leadership, amid public reports of internal concern about the editorial and ethical implications of the proposed settlement, suggest that you may possess important, first-hand knowledge relevant to our legislative oversight responsibilities,' state Senators Josh Becker and Thomas J. Umberg wrote to Owens and McMahon today. 'This hearing will mark the beginning of our inquiry,' the committee chairs added. 'Should additional testimony or documentation become necessary, both committees retain full subpoena authority under California law. We respectfully encourage you to participate in this important hearing. Your cooperation will help safeguard the values you have each worked to uphold in your distinguished careers.' Owens and McMahon both jumped ship from CBS in the past several weeks before they were given a fatal shove by George Cheeks for resisting the motivations of the C-suite and Redstone to tone down critiques of the former Apprentice host and reach a settlement to the lawsuit Trump filed just before last year's election. To that, Becker and Umberg want Owens and McMahon to consider the big picture, and Redstone and Skydance's David Ellison to realize they are dancing with the devil in a red tie. 'Perhaps even more concerning is the potential chilling effect of Paramount's settlement on investigative and political journalism,' the state politicians declared. 'Such a settlement would signal that politically motivated lawsuits can succeed when paired with regulatory threats. It would damage public trust in CBS News and other California-based outlets, diminishing the state's stature as a national leader in ethical journalism. Paramount's capitulation would also undermine two essential pillars of a liberal democracy: a free press and an impartial, rule-of-law regulatory system.' In a recent filing trying to stop Paramount from getting the suit tossed, Trump's lawyers claimed that the so-called tough guy POTUS suffered 'mental anguish' over editing of a 60 Minutes interview with his then-ballot box rival Kamala Harris. Filed in Texas, Trump's suit alleges violations of the state's Deceptive Trade Practices Act, which typically is used by consumers to pursue false advertising claims. In the weeks before he was promoted to FCC chair, Brendan Carr said the 60 Minutes complaint was 'likely to arise' as part of the Paramount/Skydance merger review. Trying sometimes to out-Trump Trump, Carr has since said earlier this month that his boss' lawsuit has nothing to do with the merger consideration and regulatory approval – a statement no one with an ounce of real-world knowledge believes for one minute. Last week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) warned Redstone that any deal with Trump could constitute a violation of federal bribery laws. She clearly didn't care what the trio had to say because earlier this week, Deadline confirmed the gist of a May 28 Wall Street Journal report that Paramount had offered Trump an 'eight-figure' settlement in the $15 million range. Smelling more lucrative blood in the water, it was a settlement that Trump rejected. Sources say that he wants more money and that talks are ongoing, which means he'll likely get more money so the Skydance deal can be greenlighted. Semafor first reported the news of the California state Senate letter.
