David Sedaris, aka Crumpet the Elf, will bring live show to Minneapolis and Duluth originally appeared on Bring Me The News. Dress the family in corduroy and denim; David Sedaris is coming to Minneapolis and Duluth. The humorist and author will head to the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Minneapolis on Oct. 20 for An Evening with David Sedaris. The night before, he'll bring the same show to the NorShor Theatre in Duluth. Known for appearances on NPR and best-selling books like Me Talk Pretty One Day and Holidays on Ice, he'll bring his expansive tour through a big chunk of the Upper Midwest, including stops in Des Moines, Milwaukee, Viroqua, Madison, and Green Bay. Barack Obama coming to Connecticut this spring
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Former president Barack Obama is coming to Connecticut this spring to speak at The Connecticut Forum. The event, called An Evening with President Barack Obama, is part of a partnership with the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving. Obama is anticipated to speak at The Bushnell Performing Arts Center on June 17 at 7:30 p.m. 'We are honored to host President Barack Obama at The Connecticut Forum,' Mana Zarinejad, executive director of The Connecticut Forum, said in a written statement. 'For more than three decades, The Forum has served a critical role in Connecticut – bringing people together to consider the great challenges and opportunities of our time through thoughtful discussions. In so doing, we hope to bridge the divides that exist between individuals and communities. We cannot think of a better bridgebuilder and leading global statesman to join the Forum stage than President Obama.' During the event, the former president will 'touch upon' his presidency and work with the Obama Foundation. He will also discuss his future outlook and current challenges. Scottish comedy legend Karen Dunbar bringing new show to Dumfries and Galloway
Scotish comedy legend Karen Dunbar is bringing her new show to Dumfries and Galloway . The comedian , DJ and Chewin' The Fat Star will be sharing stories from her life and talking about her career – with a heap of humour and jokes – on her 80-date tour. And that includes visits to Newton Stewart Cinema and Stranraer's Millennium Cinema on Friday, May 16. She'll also be appearing in Dumfries later in the year, with fans able to enjoy An Evening with Karen Dunbar at the Easterbrook Hall on Thursday, November 13. This is a brand new show for 2025 and is Karen's fourth tour with promoters Breakneck Comedy since 2023. Breakneck Comedy founder, Naz Hussain, said: 'This is the biggest tour we've ever organised, and I'm delighted that we're working with Karen for it. 'This is a big year for Breakneck Comedy – it's our 15th anniversary and to be able to deliver such a huge tour for such a well-loved Scottish act is the icing on the cake.
