Sheikh Ammar crowns winners of Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, on Tuesday attended the closing ceremony of the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship. The event, hosted from June 15 to 17 at the Emirates Hospitality Centre in Ajman, brought together over 350 athletes from 23 countries. Sheikh Ammar stated that Ajman's hosting of this major continental event represents a significant step forward, underscoring the international community's confidence in the emirate and its ability to organise sporting events in accordance with the highest global standards. He emphasised that the championship showcased Ajman's advanced infrastructure, as well as its organisational and human capacities, which qualify it to host sporting events of all scales. Crown Prince of Ajman added: 'We take pride in the remarkable success of this championship, both in terms of organisation and technical execution — a success made possible by the seamless collaboration among all relevant entities — led by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, which demonstrated its ability to deliver a world-class hosting experience.' He further stated: "Today, sports represent a core pillar of Ajman Vision 2030, given their role in enhancing the quality of life, stimulating tourism, and supporting the local economy.' He also highlighted the importance of building on this achievement to move forward in hosting more high-profile international events, strengthening Ajman's presence on the global sports map, and reinforcing its position as a preferred destination for athletes and visitors from around the world. He concluded by saying, "We look forward to hosting the World Bodybuilding Championship in Ajman in 2026, a new milestone that will reflect our continued commitment to advancing sports and developing the infrastructure needed to welcome the world's top talent in this field.' The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation; and several senior officials from regional and international sports federations. The championship was successfully hosted through the collaborative efforts of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, and the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. With a strong focus on delivering excellence, the Department ensured that the event met the highest international standards, reinforcing Ajman's position as a leading destination for world-class sports events and tourism. Sheikh Abdulaziz praised the outstanding success of the championship, noting its crucial role in elevating Ajman's position on the international sporting stage. He highlighted the strategic impact of the event, stating: 'This prestigious championship provided an exceptional opportunity to showcase Ajman's organisational expertise, as well as its rich cultural and tourism appeal. In line with the vision of our leadership, it reaffirmed our dedication toward setting a benchmark in hosting premier sporting events in the region and abroad. By seamlessly merging sports with tourism, the event highlighted Ajman's state-of-the-art infrastructure while contributing significantly to the local economy and reviving both the tourism and hospitality industries." Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, said: 'This championship clearly reflected our ability to deliver world-class events and showcased the outstanding quality of Ajman's tourism landscape. It demonstrates the strength of partnerships, especially between the Ajman Department of Tourism Development and the UAE Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, in achieving excellence. Events like this support our strategic vision of advancing both tourism and sports sectors, ensuring Ajman remains fully prepared to host international competitions while maintaining the highest standards. It not only strengthens the emirate's position as a global hub for major events but also underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence in the international arena.' Sheikh Ammar awarded the winners across various categories at the closing ceremony. The UAE won the first place in the men's semi-pro master category, Syria took the second position, and Oman took the third. In the fitness challenge — best team bodybuilding category, Jordan secured the first place, while the UAE and Mongolia took the second and third positions, respectively.. In the men's semi-pro bodybuilding category, the UAE secured the first place, while Saudi Arabia and Oman settled for the second and third positions, respectively. The meticulously hosted championship witnessed the gathering of top bodybuilding athletes from across Asia, competing for coveted titles across multiple categories, and also drew strong public engagement. The dedicated efforts of the organisers, coupled with the support of Ajman's world-class infrastructure, have solidified the emirate's position as a leading global destination for major sporting events and international championships. Notably, Ajman is set to host the World Bodybuilding Championship in 2026.

MoU worth Dhs1 billion signed to develop and expand Ajman Port

Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Port & Customs Ajman (DPC), and Hutchison Ports, a global port investor, developer and operator, for the expansion and development of Ajman Port's infrastructure with a joint investment worth Dhs1 billion. Under the MoU, a development plan will be drawn up for Ajman Port in accordance with the best global practices. The goal is to enhance handling efficiency in terms of performance, safety, and operational speed; attract new shipping lines; align with digital transformation plans; and launch AI-powered programmess for port operations through an integrated 15-year plan aimed at managing, operating, and developing the port, solidifying its position as a vital logistics hub in the region. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stated: 'We welcome the signing of the MoU between the Department of Port & Customs Ajman and Hutchison Ports, which paves the way for a strategic, exceptional, and vital project that reflects the status of Ajman and supports its Vision 2030, enhancing its leadership and competitiveness on the global economic map.' Sheikh Ammar added, 'The Emirate of Ajman enjoys a developed and attractive investment environment, supported by a continuously evolving business ecosystem and the opening of new horizons for local and foreign investment. We believe that port development is an investment in the future of trade, food security, and economic growth.' The MoU was signed by Sheikh Dr Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Port & Customs Ajman, and on behalf of Hutchison Ports by Andy Tsoi, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa Division at Hutchison Ports. Sheikh Dr Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi stated that the MoU reflects the aspirations of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, to establish strategic partnerships focused on technology transfer, expanding investment opportunities, and building an integrated operational system based on the highest international standards in maritime and logistics operations. Ajman Ruler directs dispatch of 410 tonnes of urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza in Ramadan

His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has directed the dispatch of 410 tonnes of urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza during the Holy Month of Ramadan, with the close follow-up of Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council The second phase of aid for Gaza has been launched as part of the UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to provide urgent humanitarian assistance for Gazans, involving the participation of four prominent charitable organisations in Ajman: Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charity Foundation; International Charity Organisation; Al Ihsan Charity Association; and Al Etihad Charity Foundation. The relief convoy includes essential food supplies, hygiene kits, and other humanitarian necessities aimed at alleviating the suffering of affected families in Gaza, particularly as winter intensifies and conditions worsen. Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Al Ihsan Charity Association, said that the Association has dispatched the aid convoy carrying food and essential supplies to support the Palestinian people in their difficult humanitarian conditions. "This initiative reflects the UAE's spirit of generosity and commitment to humanitarian efforts, ensuring that the Association continues to actively contributes to humanitarian aid, in line with the UAE leadership's philanthropic vision.' Sheikh Ali Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Al Nuaimi, CEO of Al Etihad Charity Foundation, said: "This initiative embodies the UAE's deep-rooted humanitarian approach, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who made generosity and humanitarian relief a core value of the nation's policy.' Dr Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the International Charity Organisation, stated: "The air and sea bridge established by the UAE serves as a lifeline for thousands of affected families in Gaza. It reflects the highest forms of generosity in supporting our brothers and standing by them in these difficult times." Tariq Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Charity Foundation, said that UAE's Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has significantly alleviated the hardships faced by Gaza's residents, eased the suffering of the most vulnerable groups, and provided them with essential needs. Ajman government employees to work 100 per cent remotely on Fridays during Ramadan

The Department of Human Resources of the Ajman Government has announced a 100 percent remote work policy for all local government employees on Fridays during Ramadan. The initiative, directed by His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of Ajman Executive Council, aligns with the UAE's "Year of Community" efforts. According to a circular issued by the department, official working hours during Ramadan will be from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 pm to 12:00 pm on Fridays. The circular grants government entities flexibility in implementing the remote work policy in line with the Ajman Government's regulations, ensuring business continuity and uninterrupted service delivery. For departments operating on a shift basis, working hours will be determined based on operational needs, with a maximum shift duration of five and a half hours per day. The circular allows a flexible work system at the Director-General's discretion, ensuring employees complete required hours and maintaining adequate staffing in customer-facing units for service efficiency.
