Over 1 Million Captagon Pills Seized at Al-Odeidah Border Crossing
Security forces at the Al-Odeidah border crossing with Saudi Arabia have seized over 1.5 million Captagon pills hidden on a refrigerated truck coming from Sana'a.
The pills were discovered after security personnel became suspicious of the truck and conducted a thorough search.
According to Colonel Amir Al-Azab, commander of the security battalion at the crossing, the driver admitted during initial investigations that the shipment belonged to smugglers in Sana'a and was intended for delivery to a person in Sharurah, Saudi Arabia.
The seized pills have been confiscated, and the driver has been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.
This is not the first successful operation by the security forces at the crossing, who have previously foiled several smuggling attempts, including seizures of hashish and other narcotics.
