Moment officer tells Christian street preacher 'it's not right' outside station

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A British Transport Police officer was captured on film telling a group of Christians to stop preaching outside a busy London station. The group had been on the concourse between Kings Cross Station and St Pancras International when the officer told the religious group, 'It's so loud'. 'These people just want to do their journey, they're not coming here to listen to you,' the officer said. Preacher Mon B, who leads Mad 4 Jesus Ministries, asked if she was performing a happy song, and if it would be okay for them to be present outside the station. The officer then began to walk away from the discussion, before adding: 'I just think it's all wrong.' The moment happened shortly after the group were allegedly told they couldn't stand in front of the barriers near the station. Metro has contacted BTP for more information. Preachers have previously had run-ins with police – one preacher who was forcibly stopped and moved on by police for 'attracting a crowd' with his public speaking and singing was awarded £1,250. Dominic Muir, who runs Christian charities Now Believe and Jesus Fields, was preaching and singing Amazing Grace in Blandford, Dorset, on April 22, 2020, when the UK was in its first lockdown. A police officer asked him to move on and then grabbed him by the wrist to get him to leave. Dorset Police believe the officer used 'reasonable force', but they reached an out-of-court settlement paying Dominic £1,250 in damages and costs. Onlookers filmed the encounter, and a video shows the preacher speaking about the gospel on the back of a truck. More Trending The 44-year-old said at the time: 'I couldn't believe it, there I was out bringing the message of the gospel, the message of hope, people were listening and a police man came and put a stop to what I was doing. 'Suddenly, out of nowhere gets on the back of my vehicle, grabs my arm strongly. 'It was humiliating. It was intimidating. It was shocking. I felt like a criminal. And the whole outreach, the message of salvation, was totally halted. 'The reason why this case matters so much is right now we are in the middle of a pandemic where people are committing suicide, there's mass depression, domestic violence, people are losing their jobs. Powys town music lovers enjoys American band's performance

AMERICAN folk music entertained an appreciative crowd at Machynlleth Community Church earlier this month. Hillspring, a new band of musicians from Oklahoma and New Mexico, were in Powys on their first tour together outside the United States. Expressing their love for Wales and its rich musical heritage, they showcased a range of folk and gospel music on themes of longing and hope, interspersing the songs with personal stories of faith. Among the many highlights were beautiful renditions of Take Me Home Country Roads, Down in the River to Pray and a poignant violin solo of Ashokan Farewell by Jay Ungar. The audience was invited to join the musicians in singing Amazing Grace and then meet with them over refreshments in the church hall. The band members received warm applause from everyone present and were thanked for providing a memorable evening of music and song.

17 Philosophy Products Worth Every Penny

A multi-tasking moisturizer, or "hope in a jar," that'll help remove caked-up dead skin and increase your skin's ability to rehydrate for ultimate ✨radiance.✨ Promising review: "Gentle on sensitive skin and effectively moisturizes. I didn't realize how dehydrated my skin was until using this. Absorbs into skin and noticeably hydrates, erasing fine lines caused by dehydrating products. I've used it twice daily for two weeks and can see major improvement. I was previously using a very expensive face oil that had clogged my pores and left my skin dehydrated. Hope in a Jar is reversing the damage." —Tracy $49+ (available in two sizes) A pore-extracting clay mask to banish all the gunk and impurities from your skin, leaving you soft and radiant with visibly smaller pores. Someone call up Regina George and tell her we have the answer to her whole *my pores are huge* problem, and it's not a foot cream! Promising review: "I've struggled with large pores all my life, particularly on and around my nose. This product (which I put on in the bath, making for a nice luxurious 'spa feel') really works for me. My pores are noticeably reduced for days afterward, and it makes my skin feel super smooth. And I have sensitive skin, so it's hard to find this kind of mask for me. I can't say enough how much I love this mask!" —KittychickPrice: $21+ (available in two sizes) A bottle of "Amazing Grace" eau de toilette, their *iconic* fragrance with hints of bergamot, lily of the valley, and classic musk that has been crowned their best-loved scent. Reviewers truly adore this minimalist, yet memorable perfume. Promising review: "I'll never forget the day I discovered Amazing Grace! I was shopping at Ulta, on the hunt for a new fragrance. I sprayed every perfume/cologne that mentioned rose and/or floral, and nothing satisfied what I was looking for... until Amazing Grace. It's been my signature scent ever since. I absolutely love it. I receive compliments on it all the time, especially after hugs! 'You smell amazing! What are you wearing?' I love to tell Grace!!" —JulesAnnPrice: $64+ (available in two sizes) Or a fresh cream perfume because vanilla is your signature scent, and you're always looking for top-notch fragrances to add to your collection. It's infused with whipped cream, butter cream, and tonka bean for an irresistibly sweet, creamy scent. Promising review: "I haven't ever felt so passionate about a fragrance. It doesn't smell like perfume; it smells like the kitchen after making whipped cream and vanilla cupcakes. It isn't cloying, it's delicate. It isn't so potent that it clings to a seat belt or stinks up an elevator. It is a gentle, warm, and fresh fragrance that doesn't cross boundaries or cause headaches." —KatherineVPrice: $54+ (available in two sizes) And a bottle of fresh cream body lotion because you can't resist the gourmand-y goodness of anything vanilla scented. With the same notes of tonka bean, whipped cream, and butter cream, you'll surely smell like a scrumptious treat. Promising review: "This cream is the stuff dreams are made of. It's deliciously scented, yet it's subtle, not cloying. It's a lightweight cream, but it's luxurious as well, and not even a bit greasy. I just wanna slather myself with it, head to toe." —TLCINAZPrice: $29+ (available in two sizes) A line-correcting primer that fills in fine lines and smooths skin for a nearly perfect canvas to put makeup on. Promising review: "Out of this world! I received this as a sample a couple of years ago and fell in love! It is so light and smooth! I work in the service industry and use this under my eye makeup. My makeup stays put through a 10-hour shift without a touch-up! No creases or yucky buildup! The best part is when you first put it on, you can see it literally blur out your fine lines and wrinkles! Love love love this product!!!!!" —Kalamazoo MichiganPrice: $44 An exfoliating daily face wash if you've been feeling a *tad* bit flaky lately. This gentle lil' potion will quickly scrub away impurities to help relieve you of dry, rough skin and deliver you a more even tone. Promising review: "This is by far the best exfoliating daily face wash I have ever used!! My mother and I are both hooked on it. I use it as the first wash in my triple cleansing routine. This is a huge staple in my skincare regimen. My skin feels so clean afterwards, but without the dryness. I will forever be a customer!" —DNClarkPrice: $30+ (available in three sizes) An SPF 30 moisturizer with retinol because it's soooo important to wear sunscreen all year and certainly in the summer. Your skin'll be protected from the sun and harsh lighting, plus it'll deliver a ton of deep hydration and firmer, smoother skin. Promising reviews: "Ultimate miracle worker. Feels luxurious on the skin, which is unusual for a cream with a high SPF. I've been using it for a few years and love it." —Pauline"I've been unfaithful. I've tried to leave in search of a product that works better than Ultimate Miracle Worker, no matter the cost. I've tried them all, but none have offered me the satisfaction and positive results like I've gotten from UMW. So, I have come back for good. This stuff does everything it promises to do on my 60-year-old skin, and then some. My skin is brighter, firmer, less 'wrinkly,' protected from sun rays, and overall far more youthful in its appearance than with any other product I have tried. I'm hooked." —lifeluverPrice: $88 An eye revival serum-in-cream for instant hydration and smoothing. If dark circles and fine lines under your eyes have you wishing on a star for a miracle, wish granted. Promising review: "I have only been using this for five days. From the first day, I had noticeable hydration, and my fine lines had nearly disappeared. Today, day five, my under-eye area looks smooth, no dark shadows, and firmer (though my under-eye skin is not usually too saggy). I don't have crow's-feet, but I do put it on that area. It looks refreshed. That's it, total eye area looks refreshed!!" —Southern CaliforniaPrice: $47 An Amazing Grace ~✨luminous✨~ body oil so you can dazzle in the sun poolside all summer, looking like a delicious, sparkly glazed donut. It's nongreasy, lightweight, moisturizing, and smells oh so yummy. A summer must-have. Promising review: "Do yourself a favor and buy this oil perfume. It's sensual and it stays with you. Hundreds gather to remember prominent Minnesota lawmaker and husband slain in their home

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Hundreds of people, some clutching candles or carrying flowers to lay in front of a memorial, gathered outside Minnesota's Capitol on Wednesday evening for a vigil to remember a prominent state lawmaker and her husband who were gunned down at their home. As a brass quintet from the Minnesota Orchestra played, Gov. Tim Walz wiped away tears and comforted attendees at the gathering for former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, who were killed early Saturday in the northern Minneapolis suburbs. Colin Hortman, the Hortmans' son, embraced Walz and lay a photo of his parents on the memorial. The memorial, which sprang up outside the Capitol after the killings, features flowers, American flags, photos and sticky notes with such messages as, 'Thank you for always believing in me and in Minnesota' and 'We got this from here. Thank you for everything.' Wednesday's vigil also included a Native American drum circle, a string quartet and the crowd singing 'Amazing Grace.' Around the gathering, there was a heavy police presence, with law enforcement blocking off streets leading up to the Capitol and state troopers standing guard. The event didn't include a speaking program and attendees were instructed not to bring signs of any kind. The man charged in federal and state court with killing the Hortmans, Vance Boelter, is also accused of shooting another Democratic lawmaker, Sen. John Hoffman, and his wife, Yvette, at their home a few miles away in Champlin. They survived and are recovering. Federal prosecutors have declined to speculate about a motive. Boelter's attorneys have declined to comment on the charges. Hortman had served as the top House Democratic leader since 2017, and six years as speaker, starting in 2019. Under a power-sharing deal after the 2024 election left the House tied, her title became speaker emerita and Republican Rep. Lisa Demuth became speaker. Walz has described Hortman as his closest political ally and 'the most consequential Speaker in state history.' The Hortmans were alumni of the University of Minnesota, which held a midday memorial gathering on the Minneapolis campus. Rebecca Cunningham, the university's president, spoke during the event about the grief and outrage people are grappling with along with questions about how things got to this point. 'I don't have the answers to these questions but I know that finding answers starts with the coming together in community as we are today,' she said. Funeral information for the Hortmans has not been announced. Vancleave and Golden write for the Associated Press. Golden reported from Seattle. AP writer Steve Karnowski in Minneapolis contributed to this report.
