SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Somerset man is being held in jail on nearly $1 million in cash bonds after being indicted on more than 45 sex crimes. According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Jesus Chavez, 32, was initially charged in October 2024. Detectives said that on Oct. 20, 2024, an investigation was launched that ended with Chavez facing one count of second-degree rape and third-degree sodomy. On April 3, after further investigation, detectives announced an additional 45 indictments filed against Chavez, including: Rape Sodomy Use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance Promoting a sexual performance by a minor under 16 Possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. The sheriff's office announced that Chavez is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center on $100,000, $200,000, and $500,000 cash bonds for three indictments from Russell County and Pulaski County. Some have even gone so far as to call Blackberry Ale-8 'the best alternative flavor' the company has developed and are anticipating its arrival at stores. Funeral plans set for Frankfort boy swept away in floodwaters

FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Funeral arrangements have been released for the Frankfort child who died after he was swept away by floodwaters last week. Officials said dispatchers were called around 6:30 a.m. on April 4 to the Hickory Hills area regarding a boy who was caught in floodwaters while walking to his school bus stop. After an 'extensive search and rescue operation,' they said his body was found around 8:45 a.m., about half a mile from where he was swept away. RELATED | Missing Frankfort 9-year-old found dead after being caught in floodwaters near bus stop The Franklin County Coroner's Office identified him as 9-year-old Gabriel Andrews. According to an obituary, Andrews' family will receive loved ones from 5-10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8. A funeral service will be held the following day at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Burnett Family Cemetery in Pikeville. Andrews died only three days after his ninth birthday, per Thacker Memorial Funeral Home. Franklin County Public Schools Superintendent Mark Kopp said Andrews' death was 'a horrific tragedy' during a news conference on April 4.
