Since October 7, 2023, Israel has carried out what has been widely condemned as genocidal acts in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the aggression. The ongoing assault has resulted in over 186,000 casualties, including martyrs and wounded — the majority being women and children — in addition to more than 11,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and widespread famine that has claimed the lives of many, including children. — (WAFA)

Indonesian hospital in northern Gaza nears collapse after renewed Israeli strikes
Jakarta: The Indonesia Hospital, one of the last partially functional medical centers in northern Gaza, is nearing collapse after days of Israeli strikes on its key infrastructure, the Jakarta-based nongovernmental organization funding the facility said on Tuesday. The hospital in Beit Lahiya, a four-story building located near the Jabalia refugee camp, was built from donations organized by the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee. Like other healthcare facilities in Gaza, it has been targeted by Israel's new military onslaught on the besieged enclave, in which hundreds of people were killed in the past three days. 'A quadcopter targeted the hospital's generators. Two of them were destroyed in the ensuing fire. Our water supply has been disrupted, and people aren't able to enter or exit the hospital area because there's a risk of being shot,' Dr. Hadiki Habib, chairman of MER-C's executive committee, told Arab News. At least 31 people were trapped inside the Indonesia Hospital as of Tuesday morning, including eight health workers and bedridden patients. The Indonesia Hospital and Al-Awda Hospital are the only two hospitals still treating patients in northern Gaza, Habib added, as Israeli attacks have forced most public hospitals in the area out of service. Israel launched a new ground operation, called Operation Gideon's Chariots, across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, following over two months of total blockade on the enclave after Tel Aviv unilaterally broke a ceasefire with the Palestinian group Hamas in March. But Israeli forces have carried out brutal attacks in hundreds of locations across Gaza in the lead-up to the operation, killing hundreds of Palestinians. The latest offensive comes as Israel continues its onslaught of Gaza that began in October 2023 and has killed more than 53,400 Palestinians and wounded over 121,000 more. The deadly attacks have also pushed 2 million others to starvation after Israeli forces destroyed most of the region's infrastructure and buildings and blocked humanitarian aid. It was only on Monday that Israel's military said it allowed five aid trucks into Gaza, though according to the UN, the enclave needs at least 500 trucks of aid and commercial goods every day. 'It's very sad and heartbreaking. The Indonesia Hospital is barely functioning. All logistics needs have been blocked by Israel and there are threats against healthcare workers to leave and empty the facility,' Sarbini Abdul Murad, chairman of MER-C's board of trustees in Jakarta, told Arab News. The Indonesia Hospital was one of the first targets hit when Israel began its assault on Gaza, in which it regularly targets medical facilities. Attacks on health centers, medical personnel and patients constitute war crimes under the 1949 Geneva Convention. 'There is no place left that is safe from Israel's pursuit,' Murad said. 'For the sake of humanity, the international community must pressure Israel to agree to a ceasefire so that we can stop this humanitarian tragedy.'

Dozens killed in Gaza in series of Israeli airstrikes
Ammon News - In one of the bloodiest nights since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, dozens of innocent civilians, including children and women, were killed and many others injured after midnight in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip. According to medical and local sources, over 20 people were killed and more than 100 others wounded when Israeli warplanes targeted tents sheltering displaced families in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Elsewhere in central Gaza, nine members of the Ayash family were killed and several others injured when their home the town of Al-Zawaida was bombed by Israeli warplanes. In the town of Al-Fukhari, east of Khan Younis, two civilians were killed in an Israeli strike on the Al-Farra family home. Ten more Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in northern Gaza when Israeli warplanes targeted the Maqat family residence on Al-Zarqa Street in Jabalia. The bombing campaign also caused major damage to Al-Awda Hospital in the Tel Al-Zaatar area of Jabalia, following a wave of intense airstrikes in its immediate vicinity. Heavy artillery shelling continues to pound the eastern and northern areas of Khan Younis, while repeated explosions have rocked Gaza City since the early morning hours. The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 53,272 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 120,673 others injured. Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.

Israeli airstrike on Gaza mosque injures civilians in Nuseirat camp
ISTANBUL: Several Palestinians were injured on Tuesday when Israeli warplanes bombed the Al-Faraj Mosque in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, destroying it completely, Anadolu Ajansi reported. The Israeli airstrike caused injuries to a large number of civilians, eyewitnesses told Anadolu. They added that the injured were taken to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat but did not provide any additional information. Since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza on Oct 7, 2023, Israel has continued to target houses of worship in the Strip, particularly mosques and churches. The Israeli army had destroyed 1,109 out of 1,244 mosques either fully or partially, the Endowments and Religious Affairs Ministry in Gaza announced in February. The Israeli army renewed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with the resistance group Hamas. More than 52,300 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023.
