Two students from state in NEET top 10, Baramati girl stands third among NEET female students
MUMBAI: Two students from Maharashtra stood in the top 10 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical education conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The results were announced on Saturday. Pune's Krishang Joshi secured All India Rank (AIR) 3 by scoring 681 out of 720 while Aarav Agarwal obtained AIR 10 with a score of 675 out of 720. Siddhi Badhe from Baramati, who scored 665, secured AIR 26 and third place in the all-India top 20 female students list. The NTA conducted the examination on May 4 across the country and abroad in 16 languages. A total of 2,48,201 students had registered from Maharashtra. Of these, 2,42,858 students appeared for the examination and 1,25,727 students qualified (passed). Krishang Joshi (AIR 3) Krishang Joshi never imagined that he would climb this high. Born in Mumbai and raised in Goa, Krishang is the son of a government employee. He moved to Pune two years ago after clearing the 'Scholars Batch' selection exam of Aakash Foundation, determined to give NEET his best shot. 'I'm very happy with my result,' he said. 'About six months ago, I thought I might make it to the top 50. But after I intensified my studies, I started believing I could get a rank under 10. Still, AIR 3 was beyond what I expected.' Krishang completed his Class 10 in Goa before joining the Aakash Foundation Pune centre for NEET preparation. He followed a strict study plan guided by his teachers and stayed focused throughout. 'I love physics, so I practised even the most difficult problems regularly,' he said. 'That helped me a lot, especially because the physics paper this year was tougher than usual.' With an outstanding NEET score in hand, Krishang is now aiming for admission to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. Aarav Agarwal (AIR 10) Growing up in Mumbai's Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) township, Aarav Agarwal was always fascinated by science. With his father working in BARC and having studied in the township's school, he was introduced early to the world of research and education. His love for biology eventually shaped his goal—to become a doctor. 'I've been interested in biology since childhood,' Aarav said. 'It just felt natural to aim for a career in medicine.' After finishing Class 10, he enrolled at Pace IIT for NEET coaching and supplemented his preparation with the Aakash test series. Aarav credits his performance to consistent effort and timely help from his teachers. 'I didn't expect to be in the top 10, but I worked really hard,' he said. 'I cleared all my doubts, practised a lot and stayed disciplined.' Aarav scored 91% in his Class 12 board exams. Like many other top performers, he now hopes to pursue medical education at AIIMS, Delhi. Siddhi Badhe (AIR 26, 3rd Among Girls) Siddhi Badhe, daughter of schoolteachers from Baramati, has always been clear about what she wanted to do in life. 'I decided I wanted to become a doctor when I was in Class 6. I've always loved biology,' she said. Both her parents are educators—her father teaches in a zilla parishad school while her mother is a primary teacher in a municipal council school. Their guidance and support played a key role in her journey. Siddhi completed her school education in Baramati and joined Success Code, a local coaching institute, to prepare for NEET. 'I used to study for more than 12 hours a day and never missed a class,' she said. 'That consistency helped me understand every subject in depth.' Her efforts paid off as she secured AIR 26 in NEET 2024, scoring 665 out of 720 marks, and ranked third among all female candidates. Her dream now is to join AIIMS Delhi and take her first steps towards becoming a doctor.

NEET-UG results declared: Two in top 10 from Pune, Mumbai; Baramati girl ranked 26
As the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) results were declared on Saturday, two students from Maharashtra made it to the top 10 — Krishang Joshi (All India Rank 3) from Pune and Aarav Agrawal (AIR 10) from Mumbai. Siddhi Badhe, the daughter of two government school teachers in Baramati, has emerged as the woman topper from Maharashtra with her AIR 26. Siddhi always held a dream to become a doctor. 'I would study everyday for several hours. But what is important is to continuously keep solving tests. I didn't miss even a simple weekly test. It helped understand where more effort was required,' said Siddhi, who joined the Success Academy in Baramati for NEET preparation and has qualified for MBBS admission with her score of 665/720. According to her teacher, Dr Viraj Yele, it was not unexpected. 'She has been a very bright student who was thoroughly focused on her dream of becoming a doctor. Throughout the two years of preparation, I have not seen her not studying. In fact, even after the NEET exam was over, she would come to the academy just to read different books available in the library on medical education and biology etc,' he said. Krishang, who has scored 681/720, was confident of a rank in the top 10 candidates, but AIR 3 was a delight for him. Krishang, who was born in Mumbai, grew up in different cities owing to his father's transferable job with the port authority 'When I decided to study for NEET, we were staying in Goa where I joined Aakash institute in Class 10. But soon I was made part of the Aakash's toppers' batch, which has residential coaching in Pune so I shifted there to study,' said Krishang, who is thankful to his mother who decided to shift to Pune too where he could stay with her in a rented flat. 'Having her around kept me motivated to study,' said Krishang, who studied 14-16 hours a day. But he did take breaks for his favourite activity – cooking. 'Pizza and pastry are my favourite,' he said. Aarav, a resident of Mumbai's Anushakti Nagar, said, 'I like the profession, it holds respect in society and I love biology as a subject.' He has scored 675/720. Aarav did not have fixed hours to study. 'The preparation included a combination of coaching and self-study with great focus on practicing to solve a variety of question papers,' said Aarav, who would watch TV or talk to friends to unwind. His father works in BARC and mother works with a private firm. All three of them plan to take admission in AIIMS Delhi for MBBS. A total of 2,48,201 students had registered for NEET in Maharashtra out of which 2,42,858 appeared for the exam and 1,25,727 passed the national level entrance test for medical courses.

Aakash Nagi on joining Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan: The biggest challenge was playing a bilingual character
Aakash Nagi and (right) as Jaal in Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Aakash Nagi is excited to be part of Chakravarti Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, which also marks his debut in the historical genre. He plays the role of Jaal, an Afghani character who infiltrates the Rajput camp in Ajmer under the orders of Ghiyassudin. Speaking about his role, Aakash shares, 'For me, the most challenging aspect was that my character is bilingual — he speaks both Afghani and Marwari/Rajasthani. Another major challenge was performing action scenes while constantly wearing heavy costumes and accessories. However, my theatre experience helped me a lot in managing these demands.' One of the intriguing aspects of playing Jaal is the character's use of disguises. He explains, 'Jaal takes on various disguises — as a trader, a soldier, a dancer, and many more — to accomplish his mission and assassinate as many Rajput kings as possible, including Someshwar and Prithviraj.' Working on the show also gave Aakash the opportunity to collaborate with veteran actor Ronit Bose Roy, who portrays King Someshwar. Aakash says, 'It was a dream come true to work with Ronit Roy sir. We've shot some scenes together, and he's extremely accommodating on set. Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 새로 나온 '실비보험' 최적가 가입추천! I haven't had the chance to shoot with Padmini ma'am yet, but I did get to interact with her. She is truly a gem of a person.' Aakash's journey into acting is a unique one. Originally a mechanical engineer, he completed his engineering degree in 2018 and began working in the field. However, his passion for cinema eventually led him to pursue acting full-time. 'I was always drawn to cinema. During my engineering days, I used to watch up to three movies a day,' he recalls, adding, 'I started doing theatre in college, and it laid the foundation for my acting career. Initially, I did unpaid roles while working my day job. I landed my first paid acting role in 2020 with the Punjabi show Kamli Ishq Di, which was shot in Chandigarh.' Following that breakthrough, he made the decision to move to Mumbai and try his luck in the mainstream entertainment industry. 'Moving to Mumbai was a difficult decision and surviving there was a struggle at first. But once I started getting commercial work, it became a bit easier to sustain myself. I eventually landed my first lead role in the Hindi television serial Mere Desh Ki Dharti, and things started to fall into place after that,' he concludes.
