Tree falls on Groton woman during hike in New Hampshire
A Massachusetts woman was hurt on Sunday when a dead tree fell on her while she was hiking in New Hampshire. It happened around 11:30 a.m. while the Groton woman was about half a mile from the Attitash Trail head in Bartlett, which is in the White Mountain region of New Hampshire. New Hampshire Fish and Game officers and an ambulance from Bartlett reached the woman within an hour. The woman was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Fish and Game did not release any additional details on the woman's condition. New Hampshire ATV crash In a separate incident over the weekend, New Hampshire Fish and Game also responded to Dixville in the northern tip of New Hampshire for an ATV crash. A 63-year-old man from North Hampton, New Hampshire was with a group when his ATV drove over loose gravel. The man was not able to navigate the turn, and crashed into a large rock. The man was seriously hurt in the crash. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. An ATV crash in Dixville, New Hampshire. New Hampshire Fish and Game New Hampshire Fish and Game said it appears inexperience and unreasonable speed were factors into the crash. "Conservation Officers would like to use this incident to remind OHRV operators to always operate in a reasonable and prudent manner for existing trail conditions and with regard for actual and potential hazards. In all cases speed shall be controlled so that the operator will be able to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle, or object," Fish and Game said in a statement.

New Brunswick man killed in ATV crash
A 62-year-old man from Kars, N.B., has died following an ATV crash in Wickham, N.B., said the RCMP in a Wednesday news release. Sussex RCMP responded to the ATV crash on Route 705 around 9:17 p.m. Tuesday with members of the Wickham Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick coroner's office. Police believe the driver and sole occupant of the ATV lost control of the vehicle before the collision. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. PSP investigating deadly ATV crash in Lackawanna County
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) say they are investigating a fatal Friday night ATV crash in Jefferson Township. In a release, troopers say crews were called on Friday shortly before 6:00 p.m. to the 100 block of Stevens Road after a reported ATV crash. Former PSU wide receiver Julian Fleming seriously injured, girlfriend killed in ATV crash
Former Penn State football player Julian Fleming was seriously injured and his girlfriend was killed in an ATV crash in northern Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania State Police say that Fleming was hurt and his girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, was killed on Friday evening when the two were riding an ATV in Bradford County and hit a deer. State Police say Boyd was pronounced dead at the scene and Fleming was taken to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital with serious injuries. His condition is unknown at this time. According to State Police, neither Boyd nor Fleming were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Troopers say the crash is under investigation. Fleming's history as a standout football player After going undrafted last month, Julian Fleming was expected to sign as a free agent with the Green Bay Packers, but the team pulled its offer after Fleming failed a physical. Ex-college footballer's girlfriend killed in horror ATV crash with deer
A Penn State and Ohio State wide receiver was seriously injured and his girlfriend was killed a horrifying ATV crash in rural Pennsylvania, authorities said. Julian Fleming, 24, was driving the Yamaha quad with Alyssa Boyd, 23, down a rural road in Pennsylvania's Bradford County along the New York state line when they struck a deer that darted in front of them, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Boyd — who attended the University of Alabama, according to her social media — suffered 'extensive injuries' in the crash and died at the scene, according to cops. Fleming, who also lives in Pennsylvania, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital. Neither rider was wearing a helmet, according to state police. Local media outlets, including PennLive identified the victim as former college football star who played for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Social media posts show Fleming and Boyd together, and reports that the pair were dating. Cops recovered the body of the deer that they believe caused the ATV crash. Family members declined to comment on Boyd's death when reached by the Post on Sunday. Fleming was a standout high school star at Southern Columbia High in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, where he was ranked the top wide receiver recruit in the nation after being named the 2019 Pennsylvania player of the year by both Gatorade and PennLive. In 2019, Fleming, a five-star recruit, committed to play college football at Ohio State. He played in 38 games for the Buckeyes, totalling 80 receptions for 990 yards and seven touchdowns. After graduating in December 2023, Fleming transferred to Penn State, where he appeared in 16 games for the Nittany Lions but was hampered by injury in the second half of the season. He signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 NFL Draft, but the team rescinded the contract after Fleming failed his physical three weeks before the deadly crash.
