Bounty hunter believes escaped inmate Antoine Massey's days are numbered
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Law enforcement continues to search for the two remaining escapees from the Orleans Parish Jail. Part of that effort includes investigating videos uploaded online, by a man claiming to be one of the escapees. The videos were created by a man who appears to be Antoine Massey. 'Antoine, turn yourself in,' said Matt Dennis with ASAP ankle monitoring. New Orleans jail escapee releases videos, prompting search of home where they were made, source says WGNO went to the address on Agriculture Street where the home was raided, trying to get answers from the homeowner. But no one answered. According to an Associated Press source, police recovered clothes the man was wearing when he recorded the videos from the home. Dennis says if it is Massey in the videos, then they show that he is running out of resources. 'I think he's having more and more difficulty every day getting any type of help, whether it's a place to hide inside the house or a car,' Dennis said. 'They start to have trouble with people helping them, especially with the way they're full-court rushing these guys.' Pastor Raymond Brown at Ray Avenue Baptist Church says all Massey's family wants is for him to turn himself in. He also believes the video is getting the word out about conditions inside the justice center. Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office discusses funding needs for jail repairs with city council 'We're not standing with him in any wrongdoings. We want him to be prosecuted but in the right way,' Brown said. 'But for him to have to break out for us to hear his side of his story, that's a major problem in our community.' Dennis, who is also a bounty hunter, previously captured Massey after he removed his ankle monitor. 'He's absolutely catchable,' Dennis said. 'Massey is one of the lower people on the food chain when it comes to the escapees. He's not the most dangerous guy. They're going to have to keep working it for someone to be running from us and hiding for two weeks.' Dennis says the other escapee who is still at large, convicted murderer Derrick Groves, is the one the public needs to pay attention to. 'Groves is scary,' Dennis said. 'Groves is a murderer. Not just a single. He's a multi-murderer, and he is very dangerous. And he needs to be captured.' $50,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest of Massey or is taking tips at unleashes MAGA rebellion on Federalist Society VW's 2025 Tiguan: A New Chapter in Compact SUVs Worried House spending hawks could face moment of reckoning on Trump megabill New Orleans police searching for suspect in St. Claude art heist Three arrested in St. John Parish drug bust Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Maryland suspends home detention agency's license after teen charged with murder in double shooting
Maryland has revoked the operational license of a home detention monitoring company that officials say failed to notify authorities about violations, leading to a lapse in public safety, according to a letter from the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. According to a letter from Secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Carolyn J. Scruggs, the state has ordered Advantage Sentencing Alternative Programs, Inc. (ASAP) to return its license to the Maryland Commission on Correctional Standards, cease monitoring Marylanders, and provide personal information for those under its supervision. The letter says that ASAP has 30 days to submit a written request for a hearing challenging the actions proposed Tuesday. Teen charged in deadly double shooting near Columbia Mall The suspension comes after the arrest of 18-year-old Emmetson Zeah, who was charged with first-degree murder in a shooting that killed two teens, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. The shooting happened outside the Columbia Mall on Feb. 22. Zeah was denied bail, and Howard County District Court Judge Allison Sayers said there was clear evidence that he was a danger to the public. Prior to the deadly shooting, Zeah was out on bail for attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault charges related to a home invasion and attempted stabbing case from November 2024, according to court documents. What is ASAP Inc. accused of? The letter accuses ASAP of failing to notify the state about Zeah's violations in a timely manner, jeopardizing public safety. According to Maryland law, home detention monitoring agencies must notify the Division of Parole and Probation of any violations by offenders, with a $1,000 fine for the first day the agency does not provide notice, and $250 for each subsequent day. ASAP was ordered to pay $1,000 for not alerting officials about Zeah on Feb. 13, and $250 for each of the six days after that, according to the letter. A total of 232 individuals were under supervision with ASAP's ankle monitors, and 883 were on private home detention monitoring at the end of April, a spokesperson for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said.

Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation Honors Reed Smith LLP at Annual Gala In Recognition For Legal and Financial Support
The award recognizes Reed Smith's substantive legal and financial contributions to the AJCF's mission of promoting tolerance, building bridges across communities and supporting survivors of genocide and other global tragedies, including Ukrainian refugees and those impacted by the October 7 Hamas attacks. NEW YORK CITY, NY / / June 4, 2025 / The Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation (AJCF) will present its Advocacy Award to international law firm Reed Smith LLP at its annual gala on June 11 at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. The award recognizes Reed Smith's substantive legal and financial contributions to the AJCF's mission of promoting tolerance, building bridges across communities and supporting survivors of genocide and other global tragedies, including Ukrainian refugees and those impacted by the October 7 Hamas attacks. Reed Smith LLP Global Managing Partner Casey Ryan will accept the award on the firm's behalf. This year's gala is a landmark celebration, marking 25 years of the AJCF's fighting hatred and antisemitism and recognizes the impact of the now 20 years of the Foundation's American Service Academies Program (ASAP). That program offers a 16-day educational experience in the United States and Poland for select cadets and midshipmen from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Space Force academies. Focused on teaching the lessons of the Holocaust, ethical leadership in the military and contemporary moral challenges, the program includes profound engagement with Holocaust survivors, elected officials, historians and educators from both nations. Earlier this year, Reed Smith partnered with AJCF to help fund its Exodus Delegation to Poland, a mission commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The firm also played a critical legal role in AJCF's response to the October 7 attacks by providing pro bono assistance to facilitate the deployment of volunteer physicians to Israeli hospitals during the country's most dire hours. These physicians filled a critical vacuum in Israel's healthcare system when local doctors were mobilized to their reserve units and the front lines. "We are immensely grateful to Reed Smith LLP for consistently standing beside us in our mission to promote Holocaust education, tolerance and support for survivors of atrocities around the world," said AJCF Chairman Simon Bergson. "They are wonderful partners in our mission and we appreciate their support." "Under Casey Ryan's leadership, Reed Smith has been more than a boardroom ally-they've truly put boots on the ground," said AJCF Director General Jack Simony. "Their attorneys frequently take part in our programs and missions to Poland, deepening their understanding of our work and strengthening our collective impact. They have made an enormous difference in the work that we do." The gala will also honor Frasier Enterprises and the Miracle-Ear Foundation with the AJCF Humanitarian Award for its partnership in providing free hearing aids and lifelong hearing care to 100 Holocaust survivors. Additionally, Van Jones, CNN commentator, Dream Machine founder, Emmy Award winner and New York Times best-selling author, will be presented with the Fighting Hatred Award in recognition of his advocacy for social justice and unity. Members of the AJCF-Exodus Delegation, including philanthropist Robert F. Smith, activist and singer Malynda Hale, Grammy® Award-winning artist Victory Boyd, Pastor Carl Day, Exodus co-founder Raymond Leon Roker, entrepreneur John Hope Bryant and Chaitra Dalton-Bryant, will each receive the AJCF Medal of Valor for their courageous work and commitment to remembrance and reconciliation.
