CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police are working to identify a suspect connected to a burglary that took place in Clarksville earlier this week. The Clarksville Police Department the incident took place at approximately 3:14 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10 at EZ Mart in the 500 block of Neptune Drive. READ MORE | Latest headlines from Clarksville and Montgomery County According to officials, the suspect used a pink and black 'AR-style pistol' to shoot out the glass front door and enter the business. The suspect reportedly stole several THC and vape products from business before running away. Detectives said he was described as a male wearing a dark-colored Carhartt zip-up hoodie, black pants, black shoes and gray and orange gloves. Police seize drugs, guns, cash during investigation at North Charleston motel

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston officers seized drugs, guns, and money during an investigation at a Dorchester Road motel. Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department's narcotics unit and members of the Intelligence-Led Policing Unit executed a search warrant on a room at the Suburban Studios Extended Stay on Wednesday. Inside the room, police found multiple firearms, drugs, and more than $5,000 in cash. Police said the suspect, 43-year-old Jonathan Simmons, is facing 14 charges, including possession of a weapon during a violent crime, trafficking in fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, as well as possession of firearms and ammunition. According to an incident report, one of the weapons was reported stolen out of Charleston County, and a recovered AR-style weapon had no make, model, or serial number on it. The man accused of firing an AR-style rifle at Thurston County deputies in May is back in Washington after he fled to Nevada, leading local and federal law enforcement on a days-long manhunt. Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders said on May 8, 27-year-old Damien Madison allegedly fired three rounds at deputies and a K9 during a chase that started in Grays Harbor County and ended in Thurston County. No one was injured in the shooting. Madison fled and was arrested about a week later near the Nevada-California border. The FBI Criminal Apprehension Team, with Air Support, used a Grappler device to stop Madison's vehicle, which had his mother inside. He made an initial appearance in a Nevada court and has since been extradited to Thurston County to face a judge here. Madison's preliminary appearance is scheduled for today in Superior Court to determine possible release conditions. A Pakistani national was extradited from Canada to the United States to face federal terrorism charges after allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a Jewish centre in Brooklyn in support of Shahzeb Khan, 20, alias Shahzeb Jadoon, was arrested near the US-Canada border last year and arrived in New York earlier this week. According to the Department of Justice, Khan aimed to carry out a deadly assault using AR-style rifles and knives, telling undercover operatives he wanted to "kill as many Jewish civilians as possible."advertisement"This would be the largest attack on US soil since 9/11," Khan allegedly boasted. Federal prosecutors said Khan coordinated with a US-based associate and two undercover agents posing as extremists. He planned to use automatic weapons to kill as many members of our Jewish community as possible, all in support of ISIS."Khan was intercepted near Ormstown, Canada, just 12 miles from the US border, with the help of a human barbaric, antisemitic plan was thwarted by the diligent work of our law enforcement partners," said Clayton, thanking the FBI, NYPD, and Canadian General Pamela Bondi emphasised that ISIS remains a serious threat, "Our Jewish citizens are especially targeted by evil groups like these."FBI Assistant Director Christopher G. Raia added, "Khan has been brought to the United States to face justice for his barbaric plot to conduct a mass shooting in New York City."Khan is charged with attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organisation and attempting to commit acts of terrorism transcending national boundaries.
