Google AI Pro now lets you generate three Veo 3 Fast videos every day
Mishaal Rahman / Android Authority TL;DR Google is bringing Veo 3 Fast to the Gemini app and Flow. AI Pro members now get three Veo 3 Fast generations per day. Veo 3 Fast will use 20 credits per generation in Flow. It has only been a few weeks since Google first debuted Veo 3 to the world. The company is moving fast with its latest AI video generator and is making a few changes that favor AI Pro members. In a social post, the VP of Google Labs and Gemini, Josh Woodward, announced some changes related to Veo 3. According to the executive, Veo 3 Fast is coming to the Gemini app and Flow. This tool is said to be over twice as fast at generation, while maintaining 720p resolution. The company has also rolled out 'a bunch of serving optimizations,' which means Google 'can serve more of it.' Additionally, Veo 3 Fast will now only take 20 credits per generation in Flow and random/gibberish subtitles have been reduced. As for AI Pro members, you'll now get three Veo 3 Fast generations per day. When Google first announced the third generation of its AI video generator, AI Pro members were only offered a one-time 10-pack trial. Now you'll be able to get three generations per day, with the limit refreshing after the day is over. Looking ahead, Woodward says they are planning to expand availability to more countries and have more useful error messages in Flow. Meanwhile, they are internally testing image-to-video in the Gemini app, speech for image-to-video, and support for Workspace accounts. Got a tip? Talk to us! Google Gemini takes on AI assistant role with Scheduled Actions: Details
Google is expanding Gemini's capabilities with a new feature called Scheduled Actions, allowing users to automate AI-powered tasks at specific times or intervals. Rolled out for AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, as well as select Workspace users, the update aims to make Gemini more proactive in handling everyday routines and requests. As of now, the feature will only be available to paying users. It's unclear whether free-tier users will get access in the future. According to Google's blog, with Scheduled Actions, users can ask Gemini to perform one-time or recurring tasks — like getting a daily summary of emails, receiving blog post ideas every Monday, or even getting weather-based outfit suggestions each morning. Users need to specify the task and when they would like it done, and Gemini will take care of the rest. For example, one may ask Gemini to summarise their calendar and unread emails every morning, generate five blog topics each Monday, or give a wrap-up of an event like an award show the day after it airs. These prompts can be triggered by time, date, or even specific events, offering a wide range of possibilities. Customise, track, and manage all in one place As per Google, users can schedule up to 10 active tasks at a time. All planned actions can be viewed, paused, or deleted from a new 'Scheduled actions' tab available under Settings in the Gemini app — accessible via mobile or desktop. If the task is location-based, Gemini will use the location where the action was originally created to deliver consistent results. Scheduled actions are delivered as push notifications on mobile, keeping users informed without the need to open the app each time. This feature builds on Google's broader ambition to make Gemini not just conversational, but truly helpful and agent-like. Notably, ChatGPT has also recently rolled out similar automated reminder capabilities for its subscribers.

Google's Gemini now supports scheduled actions
Google's Gemini has today received support for scheduled actions. These work in the Gemini app, and allow you to "streamline routine tasks or receive personalized updates" directly from Gemini, Google says. You can ask it to perform a specific task at a specific time, or transform a prompt into a recurring action. There's a new Scheduled Actions page within Settings where you can manage these anytime. Google says you can wake up with a summary of your calendar and unread emails, or have Gemini write five ideas for your blog every Monday, or get updates on your favorite sports team, or ask Gemini to give you a summary of an award show the day it happens, but of course there are unlimited other uses beyond these examples. Do note that there is a caveat here, namely that scheduled actions are only available to those who subscribe to Google AI Pro or Ultra, as well as "qualifying Google Workspace business and education plans". Gemini now possesses the ability to schedule tasks for users that will completed at a time of their choosing. Meanwhile, users can also set recurring tasks or one off tasks depending on their requirements. 'With scheduled actions, you can streamline routine tasks or receive personalized updates directly from Gemini. In your conversation, simply ask Gemini to perform a task at a specific time, or transform a prompt you're already using into a recurring action.' Google explains in its blogpost. Users will have the ability to schedule up to 10 tasks at a time and these can also be viewed and edited/paused/resumed by navigating to the 'Scheduled Actions' page inside the settings A few examles of tasks that could be scheduled using the Gemini app include: - Daily summaries of your calendar, to-do list, and unread emails for the day ahead. - Daily updates on the weather and outfit ideas based on a list of wardrobe items that you give Gemini. - Weekly news updates or details about upcoming events for your favorite artist. - Weekly rollups of new local cafes and restaurants to check out during the weekend. Google's scheduled tasks update for Gemini comes at a time when the company has been pushing out new AI features one after the other in an attempt to take control of the AI market as comeptition with OpenAI's ChatGPT, China's DeepSeek and others continues to rise. Notably, ChatGPT already had a similar feature which allows its paid users to schedule reminders or perform recurring actions with the chatbot.

Google Gemini can now handle scheduled tasks like an assistant
Google is taking another step toward making Gemini a more helpful assistant. It's rolling out 'scheduled actions,' a feature AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers can use to ask the AI assistant to perform tasks at specific times, like providing a summary of their calendar at the end of each day or generating ideas for blog posts every Monday. Users can also have Gemini complete one-off tasks using this feature, such as asking for a summary of an award show the day after it happens, Google says. 'Just tell Gemini what you need and when, and it will take care of the rest,' the company writes in a post announcing the change. Gemini subscribers can manage planned tasks by heading to the 'scheduled actions' page in the Gemini app's settings. Android Authority first spotted an early version of the feature in April, which comes as Google aims to have its AI assistant perform more agent-like tasks.
