Downed power lines close Interstate 75 in Montgomery County; AES crews on scene
All lanes on Interstate 75 in Montgomery County are closed due to downed power lines, an Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher confirmed. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The closure is located in Vandalia in both the northbound and southbound lanes from US-40 to Northwoods Boulevard, according to OHGO. AES Ohio customers say they have not received a bill in several months and are worried they could end up owing thousands of dollars. Beavercreek resident Marsha Leonard said she hasn't made a payment to AES Ohio since mid-March. 'What's going on? Thousand without power as storms pass through Miami Valley
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — As strong storms roll through the Miami Valley, residents are finding themselves without electricity. According to the AES Ohio Outage Map, 8,429 residents are in the dark as of 10:25 p.m. If you come across downed power lines, do not try to drive over them or go near them.
