Abu Dhabi restaurant shut down after food safety law violation
A restaurant in Abu Dhabi is facing the fire for violating food safety laws. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued a decision to administratively close Al Rabia restaurant, located in Gayathi, Al Dhafra region. The restaurant violated Law No. (2) of 2008 on food safety in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations, the ADAFSA said on Friday. The authority has found that the establishment's practices pose a serious risk to public health, they said in a post on X. Last month, authorities in the emirate decided to administratively close three eateries for violation of the same law. Two of the closed establishments were in Abu Dhabi and the third one is located in Al Ain. The closed eateries were Cettinadu Multi Cuisine Restaurant, Nasayem Alnil Pastries And Sweets and Diamond City Supermarket. Earlier in May 2025, authorities ordered closure of Zaiqa Grill N Restaurant located in Al Dana for violations of food safety regulations. Prior to that, five restaurants and a supermarket were closed in the emirate for breaching food safety laws. The eateries included Pak Ravi Restaurant, Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant and Cafeteria, Karak Future Cafeteria, Rich and Fresh Supermarket, Salty Desi Darbar Restaurant and Al Maqam Corner Restaurant.

Abu Dhabi shuts down cafeteria for violating food safety rules
Food safety authorities in Abu Dhabi have ordered the closure of Bin Khalifa Cafeteria for violating food safety rules in the emirate. The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) said that it had issued a decision to administratively close Bin Khalifa Cafeteria. Bin Khalifa Cafeteria, which holds the trade license (CN-1049262) was found to be violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food. The authorities said that the cafeteria posed a 'significant risk' to public health. The closure and violation detections are part of ongoing inspection efforts to enhance the food safety system in the UAE capital. The authority emphasised that all establishments — regardless of their type or the food products they handle — are regularly inspected to ensure full compliance with food safety regulations. The ADAFSA urged the public to inform the authorities and report any food violations by calling the Government of Abu Dhabi's toll-free number 800555. ADAFSA closes Bin Khalifa Cafeteria in Abu Dhabi for violating safety requirements
Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued a decision to administratively close Bin Khalifa Cafeteria facility in Abu Dhabi , which holds the trade license (CN-1049262), for violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued thereunder, as well as for its danger to public health. ADAFSA explained that the food control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the facility came as a result of repeated food safety violations and the failure to apply effective corrective measures, which necessitated immediate action to ensure food safety and the health of consumers. The authority confirmed that the administrative closure order will continue against the facility until the reasons for the violations disappear, with the possibility of resuming the activity after correcting the conditions of the facility in full and adhering to all food safety requirements. ADAFSA pointed out that the administrative closure and the detection of violations comes as part of the Authority's plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi and subject all food establishments to periodic inspection to ensure their compliance with the requirements, with a focus on proactive protection for consumers and ensuring that all establishments comply with food safety requirements. ADAFSA appealed to the public to communicate with it, and to report any violations detected in any food establishment or when the safety of the food item is doubted by calling the toll-free number of the Government of Abu Dhabi 800555 so that the Authority's inspectors take the necessary action to reach safe and safe food for all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
