'9-1-1: Nashville' teaser unleashes chaos and glamour in new spinoff premiere this fall

ABC network has released a much-waited new teaser of '9-1-1: Nashville', which features fiery tornados racing across Music City, apparently the spinoff's first disaster for the city's emergency response team, reported Deadline. As in previous iterations of 9-1-1, the new spinoff, '9-1-1 Nashville' is an action procedural about heroic first responders, which also weaves in a family saga of power and glamour set in Tennessee. '9-1-1: Nashville' stars stars Chris O'Donnell as Captain Don Sharpe, along with Jessica Capshaw , LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, reported Deadline. As per the outlet, '9-1-1: Nashville' is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Murphy, Minear and Rashad Raiswill serve as executive producers and writers, with O'Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk and Bassett also executive producing. Take a look at the videos here, The 911: Nashville will join the flagship series on ABC, while spinoff 911: Lone Star ended in February after five seasons on Fox. Craig Erwich, president, Disney Television Group, spoke with Deadline last month about the upcoming spinoff. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Dementia Has Been Linked To a Common Habit. "They have a really special event planned for 9-1-1: Nashville, and although we haven't discussed [crossovers], I think it's an incredible opportunity that I'm sure at some point we'll figure out how to capitalize on. What the 9-1-1's been able to do, it's really a master class in television, which is consistently event-izing that show to keep it fresh after all these many years, my hat's off to [showrunner] Tim {Minear] and Ryan for that," added Craig. '9-1-1: Nashville' premieres this fall on ABC.

Sumner County looks to support state resolution declaring July as month of prayer

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Sumner County commissioners will soon vote on a resolution asking for the 'Holy Spirit to move within the halls of government.' It echoes a resolution signed by Gov. Bill Lee, which designates July as the annual month of 'prayer, fasting and repentance' in Tennessee. 'There is no denying that the world, and especially America, is a better place because of Christianity, not in spite of it,' said Sumner County County Commissioner Jeremy Mansfield. '9-1-1: Nashville' to start filming this summer in Middle Tennessee Introduced in 2024 by State Representatives Monty Fritts and Mark Pody, the resolution declares the presence and importance of God within Tennessee. The proclamation, House Joint Resolution 51, asks, in part, for Jesus to bring a 'righteous unity of vision and purpose to all Tennesseans.' 'That recognition of our sins and short-comings and asking God's forgiveness,' Mansfield said of the resolution. 'And asking God and Jesus to remove corruption, criminal violence, addiction from our state and restore marriages, strengthen families, which is going to be better for [our] communities.' 'This represents the values of our community, and represents the values of our constitution and our founding,' Mansfield added. Mansfield does not believe any other county government in Tennessee has adopted a resolution like this, acknowledging July as a month of prayer. He said he hopes that changes before the end of June. Of course, religion doesn't represent everybody in Sumner County, and not everyone is a Christian. What about those who may feel this is the government crossing a line? ⏩ 'I don't see the premise for it. If you read our Constitution, the government protects religious freedom. And we have a freedom of religion, not a freedom from religion,' answered Mansfield. 'And all of our Founding Fathers, most of them, were Christians. And our country, unequivocally, was founded based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.' Mansfield said residents that aren't 'spiritually inclined' do not have to participate in the month's holy recognition. The Sumner County Commission is expected to review, and likely pass the resolution of acknowledgement on June 30. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. ‘9-1-1: Nashville' Casts Hailey Kilgore, Juani Feliz And 2 More To Star

9-1-1: Nashville, ABC's upcoming 9-1-1 spinoff, continues to fill out its cast, adding Power Book III: Raising Kanan's Hailey Kilgore and Harlem's Juani Feliz. Kilgore and Feliz have been added to the cast along with Michael Provost and Hunter McVey, and these four join previously announced cast members Chris O'Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley. Though the show hasn't been announced as having a musical element, as Deadline notes, it is worth stating that both Rimes and Kilgore are singers and have musical backgrounds. Given the show is set in Nashville, there may be a reason in casting country music star Rimes and Tony and Grammy Award nominee Kilgore. The logline states that the show is 'a high-octane procedural about our heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America's most diverse and dynamic cities.' Kilgore's character is Taylor, 'a firefighter and incredible singer.' Provost is Ryan, 'a modern-day cowboy and firefighter.'Feliz is Cammi, 'an adrenaline junkie and former trauma surgeon.' And McVey is Blue, 'a haunted bad boy, now a firefighter.' 20th Television is the studio, and the series is produced in association with Ryan Murphy Television, with Murphy, Tim Minear, and Rashad Raisani writing and exec producing. Raisani is the showrunner. Chris O'Donnell, Brad Buecker, Brad Falchuk, and Angela Bassett are additional executive producers. An exact premiere date is not known yet, but the show will premiere during the 2025-26 broadcast television post '9-1-1: Nashville' Casts Hailey Kilgore, Juani Feliz And 2 More To Star appeared first on Blavity.

Country singer LeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Nashville) have also been cast in undisclosed roles. Chris O'Donnell Reveals Nixed Plan to Rescue NCIS: LA's Hetty, Previews His 9-1-1: Nashville Spinoff Role — WATCH

Though he has been busy booking and prepping for a lead role in ABC's Nashville-set 9-1-1 spinoff, Chris O'Donnell has gotten wind of the recent developments in his NCIS: Los Angeles character's life. TVLine spoke with O'Donnell on the blue carpet at Disney's recent Upfront presentation, and at the 1:30 mark in the video above, I ask if he had heard that NCIS: LA's Callen is now expecting a baby with wife Anna. O'Donnell shares his reaction to the news of G's growing family, after which we talk about the other update we got via LL Cool J's recent NCIS visit — about Office of Special Projects boss Hetty Lange, who was MIA for much of the CBS series' final season and, per Sam Hanna, last was spotted on the wrong side of a DMZ. When I inform O'Donnell about NCIS: LA fans' desire for proper closure on the Hetty front, he lets loose about a TV-movie idea that he and others pitched at the time of the dual Hollywood strikes that came not long after the high-octane series' May 2023 finale. What brought O'Donnell to the Disney Upfront was his role in ABC's 9-1-1: Nashville, airing Thursdays at 9/8c this fall, and in which he plays Don Sharpe, 'a rugged fire captain and rodeo rider who runs Nashville's busiest firehouse with his beloved son' (according to the official character breakdown). 'Don's a devoted husband and family man but he has his secrets.' At the top of the video above, O'Donnell shares the little he knows about thus far about Don — 9-1-1: Nashville doesn't start filming until June — but he does note some differences from NCIS: LA's Callen. In a separate video, below, glowing Grey's Anatomy alum Jessica Capshaw previews her own 9-1-1: Nashville role, as O'Donnell's TV wife Blythe, and whether she is up for some crooning and/or a little two-step once the series debuts this fall.
