Realme 15 series mobile specs and launch timeline out: What we can expect
Realme is gearing up to introduce its new smartphone lineup, the Realme 15 series, which is expected to launch in July 2025. Although the company has not officially confirmed the details, leaks and certification documents have revealed some key insights about the upcoming models and their specifications. Let's have a closer look at what's coming. The Realme 15 series is expected to comprise multiple variants, including the Realme 15, 15 Pro and 15 Lite. However, they may not be launched simultaneously, with several sources indicating a launch date of July 2025. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the rollout could start with one or two models first, followed by the release of additional versions. This approach aligns with Realme's previous strategy, as seen with the Realme 14 series earlier this year. The company launched the 14 Pro 5G and 14 Pro Plus 5G in January in India, while the 14 Pro Lite appeared later in March. Notably, the standard Realme 14 5G was available only in select global markets and did not reach India. Don't Spend a Grand Before Reading This. iPhone 16 Pro vs. 15 Pro, 14 Pro, 13 Pro
The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max launched in 2024. They have a slightly different design from the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, but in many ways remain very similar. Trying to figure out whether or not to get the iPhone 16 Pro can be less than straightforward. Should you upgrade from the 15 Pro? What about if you have an iPhone 14 Pro or even a 13 Pro? For starters, both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have larger screens, with the smaller Pro getting a larger 6.3-inch display (up from 6.1 inches on the 15 Pro) and the Pro Max getting even bigger with a 6.9-inch display (up from last year's 6.7-inch display). See now The Pro model usually gets discontinued after a year while Apple keeps its base level iPhone on sale for two years after its initial launch. (Last year's iPhone 15 is now $100 less and the 2022 iPhone 14 is $599.) That doesn't mean you can't buy last year's iPhone 15 Pro — it's likely still in stock at physical stores while supplies last or available as a refurbished model — but the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will otherwise displace 2023's iPhone Pro phones. Of course, it's worth noting that the rumored iPhone 17 Pro will likely launch in just a matter of months. So it might make sense holding off on buying a new phone if you can. James Martin/CNET The 16 Pro now has an identical camera to its corresponding Pro Max model, whereas typically the Pro Max would get a smaller enhancement. This includes a 5x optical zoom, which wasn't available on last year's 15 Pro (it had a 3x telephoto lens) but was on the 15 Pro Max. All of the iPhone 16 devices, including the base and Plus models, get a new Camera Control button that provides quick access to photo and video modes. The iPhone 16 Pro has access to various AI features from Apple Intelligence, including a Visual Intelligence feature, which uses the camera and AI to identify objects and places around you. While the iPhone 15 Pro will also gain access to some of these features, the iPhone 14 Pro and earlier Pro models will not. These features will also include note summarization, an enhanced Siri assistant and Genmoji, a method of generating new emoji using a prompt. James Martin/CNET Apart from AI-enabled hardware, iPhone 16 Pro also shares features with the iPhone 15 Pro that aren't available on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro. Those premium iPhones have a titanium finish introduced last year, which helps make the phones lighter than most earlier models despite their larger screen size. Both the 15 Pro and 16 Pro have USB-C ports with USB 3.0 data speeds instead of Lightning connectors with USB 2.0 data speeds, and both can record spatial video, which is a type of 3D video that you can watch on the Apple Vision Pro headset. An always-on display, Dynamic Island camera cutout and satellite connectivity for Emergency SOS are features available across all of these Pro models apart from the iPhone 13 Pro. Should you buy an iPhone 16 Pro? In recent years, upgrading year over year typically offers small differences. If you have an iPhone 12 Pro or older, we believe upgrading to an iPhone 16 Pro makes a lot of sense. If you have an iPhone 13 Pro and the battery health is still good, it'd makes sense to wait another year to upgrade. And if you have an iPhone 14 Pro or 15 Pro, there's no need to buy an iPhone 16 Pro right now.

Apple May Introduce 200MP Camera with iPhone 18 Pro Models
Apple might be gearing up for a massive leap in smartphone photography. According to a new rumor, the tech giant is currently testing a 200-megapixel main camera sensor, which could feature in an upcoming iPhone—most likely the iPhone 18 Pro series expected in 2026. The speculation, first shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media platform Weibo, suggests that Apple is finally considering stepping into the ultra-high-resolution camera race. This shift would mark a significant jump from the company's current flagship sensor, which tops out at 48 megapixels on the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro. Although the post didn't provide details on the sensor's manufacturer or any technical specifications, it's enough to stir interest in the tech community. It also indicates that Apple may be testing the waters for a major shift in its mobile photography strategy. Apple has traditionally taken a cautious approach when adopting new technologies, often opting to refine innovations before incorporating them into its hardware. For example, while other brands experimented with foldable phones, Apple has held off on launching an iPhone Fold. Similarly, in the high-megapixel space, brands like Samsung and Vivo have already taken the lead. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra launched in 2023 with a 200MP sensor—a trend continued by the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the newly released Galaxy S25 Ultra. Meanwhile, Vivo's X200 Pro also features a 200-megapixel telephoto camera. If Apple goes ahead with this development, it could revolutionize iPhone photography, offering sharper detail, improved dynamic range, and more advanced post-processing features like enhanced digital zoom and high-resolution cropping. However, there's a caveat: this breakthrough isn't expected to arrive anytime soon. Reports suggest the iPhone 17 Pro, anticipated for a 2025 launch, will feature an all-48-megapixel camera setup—essentially maintaining the status quo for another generation. As for the 200MP sensor, it's unlikely to debut in the iPhone 17 series and may not be finalized even for the iPhone 18 Pro models. Still, the fact that Apple is actively testing such technology is a strong indicator that a significant upgrade could be on the horizon. At this stage, nothing has been officially confirmed, and even rumors regarding the iPhone 18 lineup should be taken with caution. That said, the idea that Apple is working on bringing ultra-high-resolution photography to the iPhone aligns with broader industry trends and user demands. For now, Apple's experimentation hints at a future where iPhones offer camera systems capable of rivaling professional-grade equipment. Until there's an official announcement, enthusiasts and industry watchers will be keeping a close eye on any further developments. As always with Apple, innovation may take time—but it often sets a new benchmark when it finally arrives.
