Next's 'flattering' £28 summer midi dress that 'doesn't crease'
Shoppers said the Next midi dress is "ideal for holiday" and looks "lovely" on
Next shoppers are heaping praise on a "lovely" summer dress they've been snapping up online. The retailer is well known for it's on-trend clothing and accessories - and there may be a new favourite in stock.
The fashion retailer is selling the Midi Slip Summer Dress, which is available in a range of designs including a bright pink and orange pattern, blue tie dye, black/green, and black/animal. It is priced at £28.
The dress comes in regular and petite lengths, in sizes six to 22. However, it is worth noting that some sizes are selling out quickly.
According to Next, the dress has a smaller fit than usual, so this is worth noting when ordering online. It features a midi length and adjustable shoulder straps, and is machine washable.
The full product description reads: "The perfect dress for sunny holidays or warm weather dressing, this flattering midi-length dress has a lightweight slip design, made from a soft fabric with adjustable shoulder straps and a split side hem."
Alternatively, for those searching for the perfect summer attire River Island offers the Pink Broderie Midi Dress at £69. The Red Gingham Bow Back Midi Dress is available at New Look for £33.99, and Very carries the chic Vero Moda Woven Ankle Drop Hem Dress for £44.
Next's Midi Slip Summer Dres s has shoppers mostly impressed, though some did note issues. One person said: "Bright colourful good quality and fits well," and a second wrote: "Lovely summer dress, wore it recently on holiday."
One shopper commented on the split in the dress and claimed it felt more like beachwear. They added: "Lovely dress. Fits well but has a very high split up the leg. Think it's more suited to beach wear rather than an every day dress."
Others liked that you could wear the dress for the beach or just a normal day, with one person writing: "Great light dress to wear on its own or over your swimsuit, lovely colours material lovely and soft. Great addition to my summer wardrobe."
A different shopper said: "This is a lovely dress...although I wanted to wear it in the day with my swimwear I think I would want to dress it up for night too."
The praise continued, with one shopper saying: "Lovely dress. Bought for a Caribbean holiday. Got lots of compliments. True to size. Doesn't crease."

Nobody's Child's sold out 'dress of the season' is back in stock for summer
It's the viral butter yellow dress that fashion fans quickly raced to buy for the warmer season. If there's one colour that has dominated summer, it's butter yellow. The soft, warm shade, which has been seen everywhere, gives our wardrobes that pop of warmth it needs. Also spotted on the catwalks, we are not surprised to see that this year's hottest fashion trend has trickled down to many beloved retailers, allowing us to shop it affordably from the high street. One that seriously impressed pretty much everyone is Nobody's Child's Butter Yellow Linen-blend Cora Midi Dress that was so popular it was previously sold out - but now it's officially back for those who missed it the first time. Hailed by the clothing brand as "the dress of the season" that is available in "the shade of the season", it's understandable why this £79 yellow-hued frock is a must-buy, as it pretty much meets every trend for summer '25. Beloved for its romantic silhouette, the Cora boasts a fitted corset-inspired bodice with a front button detailing, alongside a dropped waistline and a full, pleated midi-length skirt for a touch of breezy movement. Butter Yellow Linen-blend Cora Midi Dress £79 Nobody's Child Buy here Product Description Finished with a chic square neckline, it has also been partially lined to ensure it isn't see through. True to the brand's sustainable reputation, it has been crafted from an eco-friendly blend of linen and lyocell. Back in stock in sizes eight to 18, we'd advise bagging this trendy butter yellow dress before it eventually sells out again. While the trending shade will definitely be in high demand, shoppers can also choose from two other colours, black and green, alongside three patterns, ditsy florals, stripes and blue pinstripes. If Nobody's Child's dress sells out before some shoppers are able to get their hands on it this time round, a similar alternative we have spotted is New Look's Light Yellow Corset Top Milkmaid Midi Dress that costs £36.99. For those who don't want to purchase a midi-length, there is this ASOS Design mini-length dress, also available in a lemon yellow, with a halter neck design for £24. However, there's no denying that the return of the Cora Midi Dress has sent fashion fans swooning, as the retailer delighted fans by announcing its return on Instagram in a post that read: "We almost didn't post this (hello crane in the corner) but we didn't want you to miss out on the dress of the season in the shade of the season. Cora is back." Fashion deal of the week Calling all fashion fans, as we have found the dress to compliment a golden, sun-kissed tan this summer. It's Roman's White Lace Bodice Shirred Midi Dress, and it looks perfect for any tropical getaways or beach holidays. Costing £38, it boasts a strap-style design, with a chic crochet overlay bodice and a flowing midi-length skirt. It's finished with a simple round neckline that can be easily layered with statement necklaces for those days it is being worn to fancier events, or for going out to dinner. While the white colourway is ideal for highlighting a summer tan, it is worth noting that shoppers can also purchase the midi frock in both pink and black, with sizes all of them being available in sizes 10 to 20. The strappy maxi dress has been the subject of glowing praise, as it has garnered a stellar five star rating from shoppers who say it "looks lovely with a suntan" and is "stunning" to wear. One delighted shopper said: "It's very flattering and looks lovely with a suntan." Get holiday ready by purchasing Roman's White Lace Bodice Shirred Midi Dress for £38 now. Numerous fans quickly flocked to the comments to rave over it, as one shopper wrote: "So pretty xx." A second delighted shopper added: "Oooh my fave dress." While someone else remarked: "I wore this dress to the Queen's Club at the weekend - felt beautiful and had so many compliments!" It is worth noting that, while the dress remains a firm favourite of the season, a few shoppers have criticised the sizing on the brand's website, as one shopper said: "Bit of an odd fit, very tight on bust but saggy on the straps. Ordered 2 sizes and neither fit." Despite this, many other fashion fans on Instagram were still swooning, as another said: "Wow wow wow."

Shoppers have praised the "perfect" dress and said they can't wait to wear it on holiday this summer Next customers are showering compliments on a "perfect" dress that's proving popular online. The retailer is well known for its on-trend fashion and accessories - and there's a new dress drawing attention. The £34 Red Halterneck Maxi Dress With Linen is available in a regular and petite fit, in sizes six to 26, though some sizes are quickly selling out. It also comes in black and two printed designs. The dress features a maxi length, with a halterneck and pockets, and is made with a viscose and linen blend. For those still searching for the perfect summer dress, PrettyLittleThing has the White Crinkle Cup Detail Tiered Skirt Skater Dress at £38. ASOS offers the ruched square neck tiered mini dress, also priced at £38, and New Look presents the White Floral Print Mini Dress for just £31.99. Next's full product description reads: "This linen blend halterneck maxi dress is just the piece to get you destination ready. Lightweight and cut in a flattering halterneck silhouette, it's complete with pockets, a low neckline and key-hole detailing on the back. Style with sandals or trainers to complete the look." Earning a range of glowing reviews, the dress is a hit among buyers. One person said: "This dress is beautiful and just perfect for summer. It's well made and fits perfectly. It washes great will minimal creasing, which I was delighted about. It can be used as a day dress or with some pretty sandals and jewellery it's great for a night out." A second wrote: "Very flattering fit; generous fit - I'm a size 14/16 and the 14 was perfect for me. I'm 5ft 7' so length was perfect, just above ankles. Love the red colour. Material isn't overly creasy and looks like it will be cool and comfortable to wear in heat so am looking forward to wearing it on holiday." However, some shoppers did find issues with the dress. One person said: "Great colour and love the shape - but massive! I know it's supposed to be flowing - but it was more like drowning. Like the dress, but sizing seems to be completely erratic with Next this year!" Another shopper who had issues with the sizing wrote: "Lovely dress for summer. I wanted a proper maxi length. I'm 5ft 7in. I originally ordered the regular length, but it was a bit too short. So, then ordered the long length. It was a touch too long. However, as I loved it so much, I kept it and had it taken up." Despite this, many shoppers continued to praise the dress, with one writing: "Lovely shade of red. Quite long so will need heels. Attractive halter neck. Not worn yet but looks lovely on." A second wrote: "Lovely summer dress you can dress up or down." A third added: "Love this dress have the back in it too. Perfect length and fit so it falls beautifully and it has pockets!!!!
