East Lothian holiday park bingo caller Vinnie McKee is just one performance away from potentially clinching the title of this year's Britain's Got Talent champion.
The 29 year old Glaswegian from Ruchazie is counting on Scotland's support as he prepares to take the stage in tonight's eagerly anticipated live final.
Vinnie, who has been deeply affected by the loss of his brother Frankie last year to a suspected irregular heartbeat, believes his brother will be with him in spirit during his performance.
The entertainer, who works at Dunbar's Thurston Manor Holiday Park, impressed with his rendition of The Proclaimers' classic 'I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)' at his audition and earned Simon Cowell's golden buzzer in the process.
Vinnie said: "When I step on stage tonight my brother will be there with me and I will 100 per cent be singing for him."
He recounted feeling his late brother's presence during the live semi-final, saying: "I felt Frankie beside me when I sang in the live semi-final. I spoke to him before I went on saying he better be on stage waiting for me as I could not walk out there myself and he was.", reports the Daily Record.
Vinnie opened up about the profound impact his brother's passing had on his family, describing the past year as the most challenging period of their lives, but noted that BGT has brought them a glimmer of hope.
He expressed how participating in BGT has been a beacon of light amidst the darkness, stating: "Losing him has been devastating for my whole family. Last year was the worst time of our lives but BGT has given us all something to be excited about. It's been a bit of light at the end of a very long tunnel."
Reflecting on his journey to the final, Vinnie revealed the personal significance behind his audition song choice: "When I sang 500 Miles in my audition it was an ode to my brother and everything that has happened to our family."
He confessed that while he didn't verbalise the tribute at the time, he believes the emotion resonated in his voice as he performed: "I didn't say that out loud at the time but I think everyone could feel and hear the emotion in my voice as I sang the words.
"My mum, dad, sister, aunt and uncle will all be in the audience tonight and Frankie will be with me on stage cheering me on. I want to make him, my family and Scotland proud."
Vinnie, who is gearing up to wow at this year's Pride of Scotland Awards, is set for a final showdown alongside LED dance squad The Blackouts, the youthful guitar wizard Olly Pearson, ping pong dance ensemble Ping Pong Pang and humourist Joseph Charm.
Joining them in the quest for glory are vocalists Maya Giotea and Stacey Leadbeatter, the impassioned Hear Our Voice choir, nimble nine year old gymnast Binita Chetry, and drag artist songstress Jasmine Rice in the gripping race to clinch the talent show's top honour.
While judges Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden, and Simon Cowell will put forth their critiques, the ultimate decision rests in the hands of the public; Vinnie is counting on passionate support from Scotland to claim victory.

Should he triumph, the soul-stirring crooner would become the second Scot to seize victory on the renowned ITV programme, echoing the success of Jai McDowell, who earned accolades as champion back in 2011.
With his semi-final rendition of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" leaving audiences captivated, Vinnie expressed: "I am so proud to be flying the flag for Scotland and it would be amazing if the nation got behind me tonight and voted."
He added with heartfelt pride, "I feel like I have already won as reaching a final is a huge achievement for a wee boy from the East End of Glasgow."
He revealed the shock of performing for millions compared to families at the holiday park: "This is the biggest thing I have ever done and I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure it is really happening. I'm used to singing in front of a room full of families in a caravan park and now I'm singing live in front of millions."
Don't miss the Britain's Got Talent live final airing tonight on ITV1 and ITVX at 7pm.

Simon Cowell sparks concern with outfit choice during London bike ride
Simon Cowell has baffled everyone with his bike-riding attire. The talent show judge was spotted by fans cruising around South London amid the heatwave, which has seen temperatures reach their hottest of the year thus far. But despite the 34°C blaze, which has seen health alerts issued across the country, Simon appeared to be dressing for a totally different season. Captured by TikTok user @plus44unrulyfluffy, the X Factor mogul cycled in Wandsworth wearing some weather-appropriate white shorts and a totally not weather-appropriate, erm, puffer jacket. The BGT judge completed his cycling look with his signature black shades. And he seemed more than happy to pause his ride for a chat with the group who just happened to be sitting in their car, window rolled down. Totally elated at the unexpected encounter, one guy behind the camera is heard declaring: 'Yes, Simon!' 'Are you really on your bike? I can't believe it,' a girl screamed. 'Why are you like this?', she asked him, to which Simon smiled: 'What?' 'On your bike, are you not scared?', she quizzed. 'Well, I got lost, but it is quicker,' Simon replied. 'Please, just go with God, OK?', the fan added as the hysterical interaction continued. 'I will, promise,' Simon beamed, flashing a wave and a thumbs up before cycling off. The whole situation was bananas, to say the least, and viewers in the comments were left in stitches, particularly given what he was wearing at a time when the rest of us are in tank tops and swimwear. 'why does he have a PUFFER jacket in this weather', wrote a puzzled @00unknownuser001. 'A puffer in this weather is crazy', echoed @dontreportedifuge. @kttnt_ added: 'whys he just out? no security? 😭' 'He seemed absolutely delighted with that interaction too 😭', laughed @northernchill12, with plenty of others loving how 'wholesome' it was. Equally amused, @simpleeeteee said: 'He stopped like he just saw his aunty and uncle in traffic tooo funny 😅' Others commented to say they've seen Simon out in the capital on his bike numerous times, just blending in with other commuters. He now rides with confidence; however, it took Simon a while to get back to leisurely cycling after an accident in 2020. The America's Got Talent judge broke his back in August that year after he fell off an electric bike that he was testing at his home in California. He required intense surgery, which included having a metal rod inserted into his back to stabilise it. Then, in 2022, Simon, who is a proud dad to 11-year-old Eric, suffered a second serious crash, after which he admitted he was 'lucky to survive'. Just 18 months after his first incident, Simon went over on the road near his west London home, having made a sharp turn around a corner in wet conditions and felt the bike go 'out from under' him. He was sent crashing to the ground, having been going at a speed of around 20mph. More Trending Simon was rushed to hospital and suffered a broken arm, a badly bruised cheek, and possible concussion. Thankfully, it did not lessen his love for riding, as, when asked if he would be giving up the hobby, he said in an interview later on: 'I'm still gonna stay on my bike. I'm obsessed with these things.' The ordeals also gave Simon a new outlook, as he later shared to The Sun that he 'was so close to living the rest of [his] life in a wheelchair.' 'It gives you a completely different outlook on life. In a positive way,' he said. 'It hurt—trust me—when it happened, but good things happened off the back of it.' Got a story? Antiques Road Trip star opens up on daughter's heartbreaking health battle and family 'struggle'
BBC Antiques Road Trip star Phillip Serrell said daughter Clementine's battle has been 'difficult' and 'hard to understand' Antiques Road Trip star Philip Serrell has opened up about his daughter's heartbreaking battle with anorexia. The BBC expert has been open and honest in the past about Clementine's health struggles, despite finding it hard to understand at first. Now that she's in recovery, Clementine wants to raise awareness and support others who are facing the same challenges she's experienced. Phillip shared his own struggles to comprehend what she was going through. He said: 'A s a dad, it's been very difficult, I've found it very hard to understand. "I've spent 62 years enjoying eating and it's very hard not to say 'Just eat, it's easy'." He also reflected on the progress his daughter made, admitting she's 'come through this on her own'. But Phillip candidly admitted his family are not out of the woods yet, and there are still tough situations to navigate. He added: 'Christmas a very difficult time of year because people suffering with anorexia get booze and food shoved at them - and that's very hard to deal with." Phillip's daughter first stepped into the public spotlight with her journey back in 2020 when she took to social media to post a comparison image of herself. In one of the pictures, she was at the height of the devastating illness, and in the second recent snap, she looked happier and healthier and working towards healing, as reports Devon Live. Brave Clementine aimed to empower others with her words, and said: "Never think you can't escape." She then went on to detail her battles with anorexia and bulimia, explaining she thinks the catalyst was the end of a significant relationship. She believes the internal turmoil led to feeling disassociated from her life. She disclosed that in 2011, she made herself vomit 'about eight times' on New Year's Eve, waking up on New Year's Day "full of shame and utter self loathing". The next year, she started suffering from anorexia. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. She went on: "That was the worst year, and Christmas, ever. It was just pure hell, with no escape. I was TOTALLY consumed by the eating disorder, addicted to it, addicted to counting calories and 'burning off' what I could. I weighed EVERYTHING. I counted the calories in EVERYTHING. I hated what I'd become but I was petrified of giving up that addiction." She said her journey to recovery has felt painfully slow at times as she added: "After a long, and at times sooooo painfully slow, recovery I'm here, where I am now... I will always talk about eating disorders, and I'll always be honest. I don't post things like this for any praise or anything like that but to show others that you can get your life back." She said she is now committed to raising awareness about eating disorders. She went on: "I will always talk about eating disorders, and I'll always be honest. I don't post things like this for any praise or anything like that but to show others that you can get your life back. And also because I genuinely believe EDs are still very misunderstood and that kills me a bit. 'This is a hard time to go through, especially if you have an eating disorder but know that there can be life on the other side. And know that you really are strong enough to get there." Antiques Road Trip is available to watch on BBC iPlayer
