Garett Bolles gives back to community with free youth football camp
Denver Broncos left tackle Garett Bolles hosted a youth football camp for Colorado youth through his GB3 Foundation on Monday evening.
The 300 participants, aged third through eighth grade, gathered at Legend High School in Parker, Colorado, to learn the game from Bolles, who is entering his ninth year with the Broncos.
"I love giving back to the youth, not only in the juvenile court systems, but also in the high schools helping kids out as best as I can, and giving them faith, giving them a dream to be able to go out and live their dream like I'm living mine," said Bolles. "This is a dream come true to be able to give back to the community, and give them something to look forward to."
The camps mean a lot to Bolles, who wasn't a football player until late in his teenage years. "This (camp) is what it's all about, to give me a voice and a platform to give back in the community, and to benefit (the kids) like they benefit me," said Bolles. "They do a lot more for me than I do for them. They touch my heart, put a smile on my face and make my job so much easier to go out and play on Sundays. Seeing the kids and they're cheering my name, that's what it's all about."
The camp was free to attend, which was unusual. "I don't want to charge any kid," Bolles explained. "I wanted them to come out here and experience what I've experienced. A lot of these people, they come from different backgrounds. Some low-income families, some higher-end families, just a broad range of people. To be able to give back to them with a free camp, and to the community, give back to the people who love and care for me and gave me an opportunity and a voice, and a platform to boost my foundation, boost my ability to play football, I wanted it to be free so they can have that same ability."
Participants received a GB3 Foundation t-shirt and wristbands that were marked with the New Testament scripture 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (emphasis added). Finishing was a big theme of the youth camp, as Bolles addressed the youth. Check out the video from the camp below.
Bolles also had some of his teammates stop by to assist. Offensive lineman Frank Crum and backup center Nick Gargiulo were among those who showed up to support Bolles and his foundation.

Broncos expected to host fewer fans at training camp during construction

The Denver Broncos are busy building a new world-class facility with hopes of having it completed in 2026. The construction won't interrupt the team's football activities, but it will impact fans this summer. The Broncos had a training camp capacity limit of 3,000 fans last year, but that number will likely be lower in 2025. The team is considering temporary bleachers for this summer's practices with a capacity set below 1,000 fans. Advertisement 'We're coming up with a good plan," team owner and CEO Greg Penner said in March. "We want to be in our facility for training camp, given [that] it's a great place. Teams actually like coming to us for joint practices. It's not going to be perfect this year. We'll probably come up with something where we could accommodate 800-900 fans in some temporary bleachers. We'll have it open. "I don't know the exact number, but we'll have a number of practices that are open to fans, and we'll accommodate them. We really want to make that happen. Again, the intent is for this to only be one training camp where it really affects us.' Last year, Denver announced its training camp schedule in late June with practices beginning in late July and running through mid-August. The team will likely follow a similar timeline this year, but that is yet to be confirmed. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans. Broncos share highlights of facility construction in cool video update

The Denver Broncos shared an exciting update on their new headquarters in a video update combined with practice highlights last week. The Broncos broke ground on the $175 million privately funded facility in August 2024. The purpose of the building was to bring the players and executive arms of the team under one roof. According to the Broncos' website, the structure is expected to be completed prior to training camp in 2026. The team shared a video update on the construction of the Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit facility, along with shots of minicamp, which just wrapped up earlier this month. Construction is going upward, with the steel superstructure increasingly more visible from the surrounding roads. The team expects that the 2025 training camp will be the only year that fans will be impacted by the construction. The NFL released report dates for training camp for rookies and veterans, as well as joint practice dates for all 32 teams last Thursday. Training camp dates are expected to be released soon. Broncos' Marvin Mims Jr. Named NFL's Top ‘Gadget Player'

Broncos' Marvin Mims Jr. Named NFL's Top 'Gadget Player' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Marvin Mims Jr. was the No. 2 wide receiver for the Denver Broncos last season. While he should be in for a similar role this year, ESPN's Bill Barnwell is calling him the NFL's best "gadget player" ahead of the 2025 season. Advertisement Barnwell makes sure not to downplay his ability as a true wideout, but noted Mims' talent as a punt returner. "Like many gadget players from years past, he adds value on special teams: He was the league's first-team All-Pro return man in 2024, averaging an NFL-best 15.7 yards per punt return," Barnwell said. The third-year wideout is heading into 2025 after playing a more crucial role down the stretch of the season, particularly from the slot. Denver Broncos wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (19) runs through the tackle of Indianapolis Colts safety Nick Cross (20) in the third quarter at Empower Field at Mile J. Downing-Imagn Images According to Barnwell, Mims average 0.8 yards per route run as an outside receiver last season, but like many gadget players he was better from the slot. There he had 5.5 yards per route. That helped him to an NFL best 4.4 yards per route among all players that ran more than 80 routes from Week 11 forward. Advertisement But Barnwell does not think that is a sustainable recipe for Mims' success, nor does he think it has to be. "As a player who can get the most out of the many bubble and swing screens he runs, show enough speed to threaten linebackers and safeties vertically, and serve as a high-end return man, he doesn't need to average 4-plus yards per route run to be valuable," Barnwell said. With the Broncos looking for a true second go-to receiver to emerge next to Courtland Sutton, Mims has the potential to serve as one of the best gadget players in the league while racking up some major yardage at wideout.
