Shuvee Etrata on fan ship with Ralph De Leon: ‘I appreciate Ralph'
During Shuvee Etrata's time as a housemate on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," fans began shipping her with fellow housemate Ralph De Leon, coining ship names like RalphVee and ShuRalph.
In an interview with GMA News Online, the Island Ate of Cebu said she and Ralph actually view each other as worthy rivals.
'Kami kasi ni Ralph, we see each other as, ano talaga, parang head to head kami. Palagi kaming nag-ba-butt heads. Parati kaming mataray sa isa't isa,' Shuvee said.
But the Sparkle star clarified she appreciates Ralph, as he was among the boys she grew closer with inside the house.
"Yung sobrang pagiging comfortable ko sa kaniya. I can talk to him about all things,' Shuvee said. 'I can really, you know, I'm just really happy na nakilala ko si Ralph and nabigyan ako ulit ng chance na makilala siya after. Kasi natanggal ko siya. Pagbalik niya, nandun kami sa secret room. Doon ko lang na actually na-appreciate yung existence ni Ralph sa loob ng bahay,' she added.
Shuvee described Ralph as someone who is 'very competitive' but with a heart.
'Like, gentle naman siya with me. Pero pag competition, competition talaga tingin namin sa isa't isa,' Shuvee said.
Shuvee and her duo Klarisse De Guzman were the latest housemates to exit from the PBB house.
Meanwhile, Ralph and his final duo Will Ashley are one of the five duos battling for a big four spot.

Brent Manalo, Mika Salamanca defend decision to give up slot for Shuvee Etrata, Klarisse de Guzman
Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo faced the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" house challengers to defend their decision to give up their spot for Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman. Monday's episode of the reality series showed the BreKa duo in the Big Tapatan, telling the challengers that they will willingly step aside so ShuKla could return to the competition. Shuvee and Klarisse were the latest housemates to exit from the PBB house. "Kanina tinanong kami ni Kuya kung bibigyan kami ng chance to give up our spot. And may answer na kami. Itong duo na 'to deserve pa ang spot sa bahay," Mika said. "When we came up with this decision, it wasn't really to look like a hero. We want to it because we want to do it. So we are giving up our spot to Ate Klang and Shuvee," Brent added. Upon hearing BreKa's revelation, Klarisse thanked the duo saying that they didn't expect it from them, but said "Sasayangin niyo 'yung slot niyo para sa amin?" Mika then responded, saying it wouldn't be a waste, as they were only giving up a slot—Shuvee and Klarisse would still have to work hard to earn their place on the Big Night. Ashley Ortega and Michael Sager then asked Mika if it was just a part of her game plan. "Lahat ng ginagawa ko sa loob ng bahay ginagawa ko kasi totoo. So hindi siya something na kailangan kong i-push. Hindi siya mahirap para sa akin, even this. Even giving up my spot is not hard for me kasi tapos na ang reason tapos na talaga," Mika explained, adding that her only dream was to enter Bahay ni Kuya. Shuvee then said to Mika, "Mikmik, you're a fighter," which earned a "I am fighting for you" answer from her. "Fifteen years, you've been wanting to become the big winner," Shuvee said. "I don't want to be a big winner," an emotional Mika was quick to respond. "Gusto ko lang maging good housemate at nagagawa ko naman. Ito pangarap mo na 'to di ba! Ikaw ang may pangarap dito. Para sa family mo! I'm giving you the chance!" Despite the intorregations from the housemates, Mika and Brent stood by their decision of giving up their slot for ShuKla. Xyriel then asked Brent why doesn't he want to fight for himself as there are supporters who believe in him. "Alam mo ang reason bakit naniniwala sa akin ang mga taong 'yon, dahil sa kakayahan kong gawin ito na i-give up ang spot na ito. Hindi sila naniniwala sa akin dahil ako 'yung pinakamalakas dito o pinakamabait dito, kasi never ko naman clinaim 'yon pero 'yung rason kung bakit andito ako kasi 'yung mga ganto willing kaming i-sacrifice 'yong slot namin para sa pamilya namin. We're willing to do anything for our family [housemates]," Brent said. In the end, Mika said that their reasons are already good enough and it will not change. "Kahit anong sabihin n'yo, we are willing. Napag-usapan na namin 'to ni Brent," she said. At the end of the Big Tapatan, Kuya revealed that everything was just a test for the housemates. BreKa would keep their slot and ShuKla would not return. Later in the episode, PBB host Bianca Gonzalez announced the CharEs (Charlie Fleming and Esnyr) is the first duo to make it to the Big Four after the voting done by housemates and house challengers. Sparkle Campus Cutie grand winner Mad Ramos hopes to represent Muslim community
Mad Ramos of the University of Santo Tomas, the grand winner of Sparkle GMA Artist Center's first-ever Campus Cutie Search, isn't just all good looks and talent. He is also a proud Muslim. In Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" Monday, the Spiker Prince of the South shared that he wants to represent the Muslim community. "Gusto kong i-represent 'yung Muslim community na kayang-kaya natin makisabay sa ganitong larangan, sa ganitong industry," shared the 19-year-old. According to Mad, only a few members of the Muslim community enter showbiz, which is one of the reasons that compelled him to "step up." "Ako na 'yung nag-step up para i-represent ang Muslim community and sana maging proud kayo sa 'kin." Mad also said that he was shy throughout the Campus Cutie competition, especially during the workshops and challenges. "Sa dulo lang ako nakabawi, so hindi ko talaga in-expect and Alhamdulillah for this opportunity," he added. Mad bested 19 fellow charming and handsome male students in Sparkle Campus Cutie's finale as he emerged as the Ultimate Campus Cutie on Saturday. His victory was made sweeter with the presence of his family, who came all the way from Mindanao. The judges of the search's final competition included GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle First Vice President Joy Marcelo. According to Gozon-Valdes, Mad shone during the competition's finale, especially in the question-and-answer portion. "I can see his confidence, malakas 'yung personality niya, malakas 'yung drive niya for excellence, so I think he'll be a very good addition to Sparkle," said Gozon-Valdes. Mad will receive a management contract with Sparkle and will be primed to become the next Kapuso leading man. —CDC, GMA Integrated News
