Vivo T4 Lite launching on June 24 with big 6,000mAh battery

India Today2 days ago

Just yesterday, we did a news article around the upcoming Vivo T4 Lite smartphone, focusing on its rumoured features and how Vivo has been keeping busy lately with its recent launches. Now, we have the official launch date of the T4 Lite, and it is set to take place four days after the launch of the Vivo Y400 Pro on June 24. This will make it the company's third smartphone launch in a span of two weeks. The first launch was the T4 Ultra on June 11, followed by the launch of the Y400 Pro, which is set for tomorrow (June 20), and then on June 24, the Vivo T4 Lite 5G takes centre stage.advertisementAside from the official launch date, Vivo has also confirmed some key details about the upcoming smartphone. The T4 Lite is set to pack a 6,000mAh battery under the hood, will come with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, and will feature smart AI enhancements — most likely related to the camera system. Vivo is also highlighting the phone's design, claiming it will turn heads thanks to its liquid metal texture inspired by titanium. The phone will be available in two colour options: Titanium Gold and Prism Blue. These are the only details that Vivo has officially revealed so far. The rest, we'll have to wait until the full launch on June 24 to find out.
That said, quite a bit has already been revealed through leaks and listings. The T4 Lite recently popped up on multiple certification platforms, including the Google Play Console, Bluetooth SIG, and Google Play Supported Devices list, giving us a fair idea of what to expect.advertisementAccording to the listings, the Vivo T4 Lite is expected to be a notable upgrade over the Vivo T3 Lite. It's also said to share similarities with the iQOO Z10 Lite. The phone is expected to feature an HD+ display with support for up to 1,000 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode. On the back, we're likely to see a dual-camera setup, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an LED flash. Software-wise, the device is said to run on Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, right out of the box.Powering the device is expected to be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset — the same one found on the iQOO Z10 Lite — paired with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The chip comes with a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz and should be capable enough for day-to-day use. The 6,000mAh battery, now officially confirmed, marks a major jump from the 5,000mAh unit on the T3 Lite, and could become one of the T4 Lite's biggest selling points in this price segment. As for pricing, Vivo hasn't revealed anything yet, but based on previous launches, we're likely looking at a starting price of around Rs 10,000. The T3 Lite launched at Rs 10,499 for the 4GB + 128GB variant, and Rs 11,499 for the 6GB + 128GB version, with the iQOO Z9 Lite mirroring that exact pricing. The recently launched iQOO Z10 Lite starts at Rs 9,999 and goes up to Rs 12,999 for the top 8GB + 256GB model. Whether Vivo adopts the same pricing structure and variants for the T4 Lite remains to be seen. We'll know for sure on June 24.Stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the latest on the Vivo T4 Lite 5G.

Elon Musk's Tesla to open first showroom in India in July: Know city, EV models, price and more

The world's richest person, Elon Musk, is finally bringing Tesla to India. The electric vehicle giant is all set to open its first Tesla showroom in India this July, with Mumbai being the chosen city. After years of speculation and delays, this move marks Tesla's official entry into the Indian market, which is the third-largest car market in the world. Tesla's First Showroom in India to Open in Mumbai According to a Bloomberg report, Tesla is opening its first retail showroom in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in July. This marks a major step by Elon Musk to introduce Tesla cars in India. A second showroom is also reportedly in the pipeline for New Delhi, further strengthening the company's presence in the country. Tesla Starts Importing Model Y and Components Tesla has already begun importing the first batch of its Model Y electric SUVs along with spare parts, Supercharger units, accessories, and Tesla-branded merchandise. These items are being shipped from the United States, China, and the Netherlands, showing the brand's serious intentions to build a solid infrastructure here. The Model Y, currently the world's best-selling Tesla car, has arrived from Tesla's Gigafactory in Shanghai. Five rear-wheel drive units have been shipped to Mumbai, with each car valued at around Rs 27.7 lakh (approximately $31,988). Due to India's high import taxes, each car attracted over Rs 21 lakh in duties. This aligns with the country's 70% import tax on fully built electric vehicles (CBUs) priced under $40,000. Tesla Model Y India Price to Be Higher Than in the US In India, the Tesla Model Y is expected to cost over $56,000, excluding taxes and insurance. This is a lot more than its US base price of $44,990 (or $37,490 after government incentives). The steep price could be a challenge in India, where most buyers are price-conscious and value affordability over luxury. Can Tesla Succeed in India's Price-Sensitive Market? Electric vehicles (EVs) currently make up only about 5% of new passenger car sales in India. Of these, luxury cars form less than 2% of the total. This means Tesla will have to work hard to gain traction in a market where price plays a major role in buying decisions. However, despite these challenges, Elon Musk and Tesla seem confident about the Indian EV future. Earlier delays were mainly due to disagreements over high import taxes and the demand for setting up a local manufacturing plant. But now, Tesla is moving ahead with its India plans. Tesla Hiring and Expanding Infrastructure in India Tesla currently does not have an official country head after the exit of Prashanth Menon. However, the company is actively hiring for roles in retail, charging infrastructure, and public policy. It's also setting up warehousing operations in Karnataka and increasing its storage capacity near Gurugram, close to Delhi, to support its growing logistics needs. What This Means for Indian Car Buyers With Elon Musk's Tesla stepping into India, car buyers who have been waiting for high-performance electric vehicles now have a new option. The arrival of the Tesla showroom in India and the Model Y gives Indian consumers access to cutting-edge EV technology. However, unless Tesla finds a way to reduce costs—either by local production or reduced duties—it may remain a niche brand for now. Elon Musk's Tesla opening a showroom in India is a major moment for the country's electric vehicle market. Starting with Mumbai, and soon expanding to New Delhi, Tesla is making its presence felt. While the high price of a Tesla car could be a hurdle, the company's long-term success will depend on how well it adapts to Indian conditions and consumer expectations. This simple idea made a huge difference in helping small traders join the digital economy. Faced many challenges early on Like most startups, the journey was not easy. In the beginning, it was tough to get funding, build a place in the market, and win the trust of shopkeepers. But Shashvat and his team did not give up. Their hard work and belief in their idea paid off and BharatPe grew rapidly and became one of the top names in the Indian fintech space. From Bhavnagar to the big stage Shashvat Nakrani was born in Gujarat's Bhavnagar and from a young age, he loved technology and innovation. Even during school, he was interested in coding and programming. His dedication helped him clear the tough JEE exam and get into IIT Delhi. In 2021, Shashvat Nakran made history as the youngest person to feature on the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List. This US company going to invest Rs 25000000000 in India for…, China and Pakistan in tension due to…, the company name is… Amazon Investment in India: American e-commerce company Amazon on Thursday revealed its plan to invest over Rs 2,500 crore in India this year. The company is planning to expand its network in India so that its services can reach more and more people. Amazon's Plan In India According to Amazon, with the investment of Rs 2500 crore, the company is focussing on expanding its network and upgrading its services to deliver faster and reliable services. Technology and innovation is more advanced than before and the interest of the employees can also be improved. This investment will enhance the company's processing capabilities, upgrade its operational network, and improve its delivery infrastructure, ultimately providing customers with superior service. India's E-Commerce Market Growing Rapidly It is worth mentioning that Amazon announced the investment at a time when India's e-commerce market is growing rapidly. The market valuation in 2024 was USD125 billion, and it is estimated to reach USD550 billion by 2030. The market is also supported by the increasing number of internet users in India. E-commerce growth in the country is being fuelled by a younger generation increasingly embracing online shopping. This trend is expanding e-commerce beyond urban centers, into smaller towns and rural areas. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart and JioMart dominate India's e-commerce sector. India's e-business landscape has changed completely because of the investment of billions of dollars in the rapidly growing e-commerce market in recent years. However, this new investment by Amazon can prove to be a challenge for existing e-commerce players such as Flipkart and Meesho.
