Footage of people escaping burning building falsely linked to India plane crash

"A video of a man jumping from a plane during yesterday's plane crash has surfaced. Watch this video carefully, you will get goosebumps. Another video of the Ahmedabad plane crash is going viral rapidly," reads a Hindi-language Facebook post on June 13, 2025.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner bound for London with 242 people crashed between a hospital and a neighbourhood in Ghoda Camp, a residential area in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025 (archived link).
The crash has killed at least 265 people, including 24 on the ground, with the possibility of a higher toll as more remains are found.
One man aboard the Air India flight -- carrying 242 passengers and crew -- miraculously survived the fiery crash, which left the tailpiece of the aircraft jutting out of the second floor of a hostel for medical staff from a nearby hospital (archived link).

The video was shared alongside similar claims on Facebook, X, Instagram and Threads.
However, the video is unrelated to the Ahmedabad plane crash.
A reverse image search on Google using keyframes from the false video found similar footage published on X by the Indian news website Hindustan Times on June 10, (archived link).
The caption of the post said, "A major fire broke out on the top floor of the Shabad Apartment complex in Dwarka Sector 13, triggering panic among residents."
Another report from the outlet said the fire killed a man and his two children (archived link).

English-language daily The Statesman also published a video of the incident on X from a different angle, and went on to say the fire broke out in a residential building named Shabad Apartment (archived link).

'The Kakamega OCPD - a one MR. ROTICH and three other uniformed officers trailed my vehicle and forced my driver to stop,' he wrote. '*Disappointingly, upon confirming I was not on board, they commanded him to drive to an unknown destination. When he refused, they assaulted him so severely using a gun pointer that he was left profusely bleeding (sic).' 'This is unconscionable brutality by those sworn to protect us,' he continued. 'Our nation sinks deeper into lawlessness when officers become perpetrators. We will not be intimidated—we are formally filing a complaint with IPOA (Independent Policing Oversight Authority).' AI image of crashed jet falsely linked to Iran-Israel war

said its forces had shot down two Israeli fighter jets, a report dismissed as "fake news" by an Israeli official, an image surfaced in posts falsely claiming it shows a downed F-35. But the picture contains visual inconsistencies typical of AI-generated content, an AFP analysis found. "The F-35 shot down by Iran. Much bigger than I thought," reads the Korean-language caption of an image shared on Threads on June 15, 2025. The image appears to show a massive fighter jet that has crashed in the desert and is missing its left wing. A crowd appears to have gathered around its nose. It circulated after Iranian state media said the country's forces had downed two Israeli fighter jets during a massive Israeli air raid on June 13 (archived link). An Israeli official rejected the report as "fake news" (archived link). Old flight footage misrepresented as Air India disaster

The video shows passengers using makeshift fans as a man "This is an Air India flight to Patna. Today is the 18th and the flight is at 4 o'clock. We have been on the flight for an hour, without AC. You can see how much we are sweating."
